"Dropbox: The OG of easy auto-syncing cloud storage."

What do you like best about Dropbox?

It's been incredibly reliable since I first started using it back in the early 2000's. Before OneDrive was even a thing, Dropbox was already doing it with a generous free tier and excellent service. I've been able to use it on Windows, Linux and also mobile devices seamlessly and it's by far the best experience I've had with file syncing services.

It's made sharing song ideas with fellow musicians a breeze, and I've found it especially helpful to be able to make a public link so I can share with people who hardly even know how to use a computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Hmm... I do feel like people people have complained about running out of space on the free tier due to accidentally syncing things they didn't intend to. That's never happened to me though, I honestly think that the free tier is incredibly gracious when compared to other options out there so there really aren't any complaints from me. What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

Giving me a centralized place to interact with others and store and develop ideas. I used to have to try to find a way to email mixes of songs to a client, and the restrictions that emailing places on the size of attachments made that a nightmare. I wanted the quality to be as good as possible, but I also had to keep file size unreasonably small. Dropbox has allowed me to simply upload a high quality mp3 or even .WAV file, and share the link so the client actually gets a good idea of what the mix sounds like. What do you like best about Dropbox?

What I like most about Dropbox is how easy it is to store, organize, and share files across teams. In my work, I use it to share training materials, presentations, and important documents, and the file syncing works reliably across devices.

What do you like best about Dropbox?

The first thing that i love about dropbox is it is easy to use and lets me upload file from anywhere and sharing with other is easy. It keeps the file in organized way and gets synced across all of my devices so, whichever device i use i have my files and i donot have to worry about anything. What do you like best about Dropbox?

When it involves heavy media, we can send large files to our clients without breaking the original file.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

That the "Free Tier" is a Joke. The 2GB Wall, while Google Drive gives you 15GB and even OneDrive gives you 5GB, Dropbox sticks to 2GB.

Example: where a single 4K video or a high-res photo dump can exceed that in minutes, the free tier feels more like a "trial" than a real service.

And in the free plan, you are restricted to linking only 3 devices. If you have a desktop, a laptop, a tablet, and a phone, you’re already forced to choose which one gets left out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how I can use Dropbox Transfer to send 100GB of raw video footage to a client without them needing a Dropbox account, and then track exactly when they downloaded it and If a folder is accidentally deleted, the Dropbox Rewind feature allows to restore entire account to a specific point in time. Dropbox solves the problem of storing, accessing, and sharing files across different devices and locations in a simple and secure way.

"Versatile and easy: selective synchronization and great performance on Windows and Mac"

What do you like best about Dropbox?

Its versatility of use makes it really easy to use. What I like the most is its application, which maintains selective synchronization; that way I don't overload my device with files. Also, I have used it on both Windows and Mac, and it has worked correctly on both platforms. I have been working with Dropbox for 5 years and I am still paying the same. Solve the problem of heavy storage. I used to use Synology and always had my mind occupied thinking about how much free space I had left and calculating how long it would be before I had to buy another Synology with greater storage capacity. Honestly the file storage and backup is what keeps me on Dropbox. Files are always there when I need them - no missing folders, no corrupted documents, nothing sketchy. I've tried a couple of alternatives but kept coming back because nothing else felt as consistent. For pure storage and backup reliability, it just doesn't let you down.
