## DonorView Reviews
  ### 1. Challenging Integration, Locked Contracts

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angie B. | Executive Director, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

I would say the dashboard feature in DonorView is very helpful. It allows us to consolidate different things into one system, like the donor database, events, membership forms, and text messaging. That's what we were really hoping that feature would help us.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

I don't like that DonorView hasn't solved our problems; it's created additional ones. It doesn't integrate well, despite being advertised as integrating seamlessly with other platforms. We couldn't incorporate it into our website hosted on MemberStack. The trial period is only two weeks, and after that, you're locked in a five-year contract that's expensive and nearly impossible to escape, which doesn't allow for thorough testing unless your organization is very small and simple. Setting it up has been equally challenging, particularly integrating it with Stripe and QuickBooks. It's clunky, requiring separate reporting elements to be printed and uploaded, which isn't the seamless integration the sales team promised.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DonorView hasn't solved our problems. Instead, it has added challenges, particularly with integrations and a restrictive five-year contract.

  ### 2. Great support from a great team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elise D. | Orchestra Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2024

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

One of the most amazing things about DonorView is the level of prompt, useful support that is available. The team is always there to answer questions and help with issues - and that is greatly appreciated, especially when first getting started with the program!

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

Everything is great so far! There are sometimes a few issues with pages loading in a timely way - but most of the time it works very quickly.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DonorView is allowing us to keep all of our information about donors, students, parents, ticket buyers, etc. all in one place. In the past, we had information in many different platforms and it wasn't possible to see the connections - and since so many of our constituents are involved in multiple fields, having this way to track all of their activity in one place is an incredibly useful tool!

  ### 3. Poor Interface, Auction and Event Modules Don't Work

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Penny A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2024

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

The cost is right for an all-in-one. Three-year contract is required.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

6-7 clicks to use. The auction and event module doesn't work as described. Donors have said they won't return to events if we use this interface again. We're stuck in this contract even after two years of using it and asking for better support. Program needs to be recoded - it takes 10 seconds to load a page. Program kicks out people who try to use it, doesn't show bids correctly. With the lag, donors would receive an email that they won an auction item when the program just hadn't completed the final bid. When I brought this to their attention, they said they couldn't verify the problem since they weren't there, even though I gave them name. If you call for support, you won't receive a call, even if you pay for it. You will get an email within 24 hours.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's actually made more problems for us than solved them. As a CRM, I could train volunteers to use it. If you use any other module, they don't work as needed if you have large events. Definitely don't use the auction module. It doesn't work.

  ### 4. DonorView is easy to use and simple to get started with.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff M. | Philanthropy Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2024

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

The overall composition of the data is a lot like a spreadsheet. Easy to use and then you just click where you want to go. It's like have a pre-made Salesforce instance without all of the setup.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

Training is a little bit self-directed, however, you DO need to learn how to use the system. They have all the resources right there and the webinars are super helpful, but, it's hard to force yourself to learn when you are also busy.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One place for communications, events, online giving, etc.
A one stop shop!

  ### 5. Best System on the Market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacy J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2024

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

Donview has allowed us to keep better track of our donors, sponsors, and community members. The system not only alows us to keeps better tract of their financial support but also allows us to easly communicate with them what our orgization has going on. This is a system that our office uses everyday to enter and tract donations, note communications with donors, sponsors, and even board members. We are also able to keeps tract of emails and documents that may have been sent to them as well. DonorView is overall a one stop shop and allows you to do so much with one system.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

While the following statement is not a dislike... it was rather a lenthly process to get started with DonorView; however, the support we recived made the process better. Our organization used a number of differnt systems which we combined into one so there was alot of information to move and put into one system, but DonorView staff was able to work and provided us with a system that works for us.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DonorView allowed us to take mulitble systems and combine them into one. This has cut down on the time to takes to enter data and allows us to be more productive.

  ### 6. Donorview has met the needs of our orgnaization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2024

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

Donorview has the features we need to streamline our operations and database as well as handle memberships.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

There is a learning curve as it isn't always user-friendly in set-up.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to be able to handle memberships, have a setup donation place, and host events. We are able to do all these with Donorview as well as handle correspondence like a weekly newsletter and get reporting for grants based on attendance information.

  ### 7. Donor View

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle B. | Event Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2024

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

The event stats summary and entering Constituents

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

The lack of features around event management

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking and entering constituents and fundraising donation management

  ### 8. Excellent Customer Support!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

DonorView is extremely user friendly. We switched to this software about 10 months ago. I have initiated several support tickets for help and have experienced nearly immediate responses that were always very helpful and gave me the exact steps I needed to accomplish the task I needed to complete.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

I wish the cost of this amazing software program could be a little bit more affordable for non-profit organizations like ours. We pay the fees because the product is worth the cost.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DonorView is helping us to effectively and efficiently track incoming, online donations, as well as checks and cash that come in. We are able to easily run reports to track giving from many different vantage points. Sending out end of year giving statements was so streamlined.

  ### 9. Fundraiser Necessity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2024

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

I am new to the product. I sent an email with an issue and within the hour I had an answer and my problem was solved.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

I am still learning the product, so I do not know itsfull potential. It has been great so far.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We rely on fundraising. This allows us to send several fundraiser links and manages our database throughout the year.

  ### 10. Great all around product with excellent customer service.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2024

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

DonorView manages my donors, through their CRM and event pages, and our donations. It easily integrates with Quickbooks so all our fundraising information is in one location.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

Just a slight wish list-I wish there was more ability to flexibly create donation/event pages.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All our information is now in one place, our donor crm, our ability to manage events and the intake of all fundraising money is done through donorview.

  ### 11. Don

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Courtney B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

Absolutely nothing. The demo was vey impressive, but the actual product is junk. It's clunky, complicated for the internal use, and the external donor. This latform actually casued us to lose donors. Their sales tactics are predatory.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

My organization has a robust donor membership program and hosts many events. We were looking for a more sophisticated CRM to serve our donor and administrative needs better. The Donorview demo was very impressive and we thought it would be a great solution. However we were very wrong. The platform is very clunky, unintuitive and much harder to navigate and manage than our former CRM that was 10% of the cost. Donorview offers a 2 week "trial period" to test out the software before you're locked in to a contract. However the implementation took more than FOUR MONTHS, so there was no real way to get a feel for the system without any of our data imported in to it. All the public facing forms, surveys, and donation pages are messy, complicated, and redundant. So much so that when we tried to actually launch the software, 6 months after signing the contract, we got endless complaints and actually lost donors. Donorview lures you into longterm contracts with better pricing (which is still expensive) and now less than a year into this deal, and less than two months since the finalization of the implementation, they will not release us from this five year deal under any circumstances. Our only option is to reduce the number of constituents in our database to get a lower annual rate. To do this we have delete each person one-by-one, each of which takes about 45-50 secs per person, because again the system is so clunky. Yes I timed it because there are more than 2,500 records to delete!! There's no option to bulk delete and when we reached out to support to delete all the records on their end, they wanted to charge us ANOTHER $200. So I'm going to spend 35 hours of my life deleting all the records because I REFUSE to give this rotten company one more dollar that I don't have to. Seriously folks, do NOT make the same mistake and sign any deal with this company.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None - it caused problems, cost a to of money, and made us lose business

  ### 12. Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2024

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

It has been easy to use and implement, it has a lot of features, and the customer support is great!

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

I haven't found anything to dislike yet.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us to keep track of our donors and event income.

  ### 13. One-stop shop for donor management & event planning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

DonorView has a plethera of functions that can be tailored to individual needs--it's great for managing event registrations and donor contributions. It's a one-stop shop at an affordable price point and the customer service is outstanding.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

So far DonorView has served all of my needs in regard to processing donor contributions, creating email correspondence and creating event registration pages. The only downside would be the credit card processing fees.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DonorView has taken place of having to use multiple programs to manage donor data and event registrations. We've saved money and time.

  ### 14. Review of DV

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2024

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

There are so many aspects that are helpful for a business's growth and documentation

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

Slow service sometimes, takes long to load

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its great for organizing contacts, campaigns, and contributions

  ### 15. A smooth and seamless fundraising platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2023

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

Khowing that our supporters gain confidence in our organization when contributing to us through DonorView and that they receive professional and timely acknowledgment of their donation.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

There are so many great possibilities for fundraising it's hard to choose which would work best.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving us time by compiling a list of our supporters and generating Thank You letters.

  ### 16. affordable crm platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Georgia H. | Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2023

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

I like the email templates and it is easy to manage donors. I also like the fact that we can manage grants and track them in there for a complete history all in one place.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

I feel like the platform could be a little more modern and we are having an issue with our donor page showing. The support is good though and they are actively working through it with us.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Donor management, fundraising management, and tracking gifts and donations. I enjoy easily sending out mass emails to our donor lists and can easily specify to who I want to send them. I can also track our grants and foundations in this system making it easy to build a history for future employees to reference.

  ### 17. Great software!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2023

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

I use Donorview to enter new donors, visitors, and volunteers. I also use it to record interactions that I have with these people. Besides the personal address, phone, and email address, you can enter a person's availability. For instance, I hosted a "Wrapping Party." Everyone that attended was entered into DV, and I made a note that one of their "Skills" was a Christmas Wrapper. Next year, I can run a report, and DV will pull each of these people up for me, and I have my list of people to contact.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

I used to write a Volunteer Newsletter and send it out through DV. There were a couple of times that the letter was lost for no specific reason.

If DV could automatically save anything entered, I think that would be helpful, like when you work in Google Docs.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have not had that experience, but our bookkeeper and marketing coordinator have benefitted greatly. It helps me to be more productive, as I can look back at interactions that I have made, and it jogs my memory. This is especially helpful during solicitation for an upcoming fundraiser.

  ### 18. My View of Donorview

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melanie D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2023

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

For the most part, Donorview is user-friendly.
The amount of user info you can add on a profile is very extensive, if you choose.
Great customer support,

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

The donation pages are clunky to build and the look is outdated and not very atractive.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Last Fall, they had some beautiful holiday donor page templates, which we loved. If they offer more and make them editable, they will be on par with other CRM offerings.

  ### 19. Donor View is great for Nonprofits!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jackie S. | Donor relations coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2023

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

DonorView is really great for online giving and being able to run reports to find first-time givers, one-time givers, etc. It's also easy to send out thank you donor letters.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

Editing a pledge can be a little difficult and confusing. It would be nice to be able to add pictures into donor thank you letters.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have helped me with my questions about editing pledges, editing card payments, and a few other problems I have had questions about.

  ### 20. Product worked very well

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff W. | Director Of Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

We used Donor View for several years to capture donations from our constituents. It worked well but did not have the flexibility and other features we would have liked to have seen

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

The overall integration to other products was not great. We needed a more in-depth CRM package that would allow us to process donations. Overall our users tended not to use DonorView to donate and ended up sending us checks and PayPal payments directly.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It worked OK for getting donations into our systems but was lacking in other required CRM functions for us. I would recommend it for someone that has fairly basic donation requirements.

  ### 21. Easy to use Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer C. | Program Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

Donorview is easy to learn and use. Email marketing is simple, not complicated. The donor information is easy to locate and track. The web service they offer has been vital to the mission.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

I would say not reaching a live person and using email to problem solve. However, Dave and Jenna have always gotten back to us right away. They take their time to help problem solve.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recently, We needed help creating new donation pages and fundraising goal categories. they were able to walk me through it every step of the way asking questions to make sure I knew how to move forward. Very helpful.

  ### 22. Great for small non-profits!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Performing Arts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2022

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

We are a small non-profit performing arts organization and we love how many features are combined in this one product. We write grants, have corporate sponsors, individual donors and hold events. We are considering using the online auction feature as well. It's wonderful to have so many ways for constituents to interact with us via DonorView.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

Sometimes I find it challenging to run reports. I don't exactly understand which boxes to tick to get the information I'm looking for. I find it a little confusing.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just keeping us organized. We used to have everything on spreadsheets and it was a mess. I love having all constituents, grantors, and corporate donors in one place.

  ### 23. DonorView is flexible and affordable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David R. | Director of Advancement and Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

We appreciate the flexibility and affordability of the software. The software is user friendly and the online training materials help.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

The onboarding process had its challenges, but after several weeks we were able to work with the implementation team and it was smooth sailing.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The online dashboard helps our team connect with donors, alumni/ae, and friends in ways we were unable to before. Our donors love having their own portal account and updating and accessing their own information.

  ### 24. Bang for the Buck

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa C. | Finance Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

DonorView has widespread capabilities. It is a one-stop shop - text2give, donations, events, donation pages, volunteer tracking. We haven't touched all of it yet.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

Some reporting is difficult to build. There is also not a "global" option for anything such as replacement, etc.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We now have a central hub for each department. From receiving donations and generating donation pages to volunteer time tracking to recording partnerships and using interactions, everything goes to one place.

  ### 25. Affordable and user friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patti B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2023

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

Fundraising functions are fairly easy to use.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

The peer to peer function is not as user friendly as it could be

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not aware of ongoing problem solving

  ### 26. Nonprofit CRM

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dee L. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2022

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

Interactions, simplicity of use. cloud based

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

Report building, lack of ability to customize giving pages.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can have better understanding as to who is being contacted, who is donating, and who is not.

  ### 27. Efficient and Effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian D. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

DonorView empowers us to communicate effectively and efficiently with our donor base.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

What I like least about DonorView is that I don't have the time to take advantage of some tools we aren't using.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With donor/member management and donation tracking in one place, our communications are improved and accurate donor information is readily available.

  ### 28. Must have for non-profits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

Donor view is very user friendly, easy to use and is all in one system for non profits that are on a budget and want to begin donor cultivation.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

Nothing at this point that we have found that we dislike

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have everything we need all in one system. We can do fundraising, peer to peer, donor cultivation, donor tracking and the ease of the reports and sending newsletters. Everything is there for you in one system. You can even use it to track volunteers and recruit.

  ### 29. Expensive, clunky, not helpful software

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Savannah L. | Director of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2022

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

Apparently their sales team? Because everything after that was down hill.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

Everything.
They sold much more than they delivered on. Many things were promised during the sales process that was a flat out lie or not what they said it was.
It was clunky. It didn't embed into our website very well.
When we left they charged $900 to get OUR data.
It was absolutely the worst experience.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used it to track donations but that's it. We tried to use it for email and text marketing but it was a fail.
Really it created more problems than it solved.

  ### 30. Not impressed with user experience or support

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie K. | Development Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

ability to input a lot of pieces of info per donor. donorview allows for information to fall under multiple categories and also presents the ability to connect donor by relationship, soft credit, and tribute gifts

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

It is difficult to seach by any value besides last name. there is a lot of unnecessary information fields, it is not an intuitive platform to learn. I have not be happy with the level of support that donorview offers. Compared to other platforms the support webpage and ability to connect with a person who can help is not easy to do.

**What problems is DonorView solving and how is that benefiting you?**

exporting reports is easy enough but all higher level data projects are done with the help of excel functions and not because of donorview. We mainly use this platform to collect CRM information

  ### 31. We are looking forward to what DonorView can do for us

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt R. | CEO/Executive Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2019

**What do you like best about DonorView?**

I love that DonorView has so many different features built right into the system. We don't need to use various software and partners and can bring everything into one center non-profit management system.

**What do you dislike about DonorView?**

I wish DonorView's GUI interface was a little more modern both in their web and mobile apps.

**Recommendations to others considering DonorView:**
