&lt;p&gt;Too many cooks would be my bigger concern. Once several internal users and clients are sharing documents, keeping access tied closely to the files themselves seems much easier to manage. Adobe Acrobat’s PDF Spaces sound useful here since related documents and their access stay together.&lt;/p&gt;
