I was able to implement a complex plugin very easily. **What do you dislike about Di-LIMS?** The overall user interface is good, user-friendly, but can be a bit inconsistent in some places. However, regular updates always improve on that front. **What problems is Di-LIMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are pushing/helping biobanks in Switzerland to use a proper LIMS for compliance reasons. We have selected Di-LIMS after an extensive public tender. We were able to develop a custom plugin on top of Di-LIMS that addresses the needs of most biobanks in our network, helping them save on training and IT-infrastructure. ### 4. We needed a flexible systhem to register all this variation and to be able to performe necessary changes by ourselfs. When we searched for available systems on the market, we carefully analysed all the options and chose to go with DiData, a new start-up. It was one of the few solutions that allowed us to store our data on local servers rather than in the cloud, which is essential for the security and sustainability of biobank data. The decision was risky, but ultimately, it proved to be the best option for our diverse needs. The growth of the DiData team is undeniable, and the quality of the system has improved significantly since we began our collaboration. Customer support is quick and responsive; issues are resolved and discussed efficiently. The system records and offers a wide range of solutions necessary for a modern molecular biology laboratory.Additionally, the platform's flexibility and adaptability make it a valuable tool for both routine tasks and complex research projects. The intuitive interface ensures that even users with minimal technical expertise can navigate the system efficiently. Moreover, the continuous updates and improvements to the system demonstrate the company's commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements in the field. We highly recommend this system to any laboratory seeking to streamline their operations and enhance data security. **What do you dislike about Di-LIMS?** Initially, there were some minor challenges in terms of timing and explaining the processes, as it took time to adapt and test the system to our needs and to explain the processes to the IT specialists. However, looking at the results, we do not regret this collaboration. Future clients will also find it much easier in this regard, as the DiData specialists have grown professionally and are now very quick to identify and resolve issues. **What problems is Di-LIMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** DiData is the only system that allowed us to organize a chaotic data of biobank historically created 15 years ago at a research institution , as a part of collaboration with the largest medical facilities in Latvia. We had over 100 different cohorts, each with its own sample collection strategy, historical IDs and protocol developed by individual researchers or doctors. Thanks to DiData's adaptability, this environment allowed us to systematize these data. This LIMS simplified our workflow and offered the capability to create custom kits for each study, where, with just one click, we are able to create for example 50 new patient records, which all will contain its study IDs and derived samples/tubes/documents kits. It is possible to design the study for a specific task, define coding, sample&tube types, at any time add new fields, columns, sample types or variations of protocols. DiData also allows the creation of workflows for common in all biomedical labs sampe collection &reception, blood processing, DNA and RNA extraction, and the registration of documents and sample requests. We also use DNA concentration calculations, sample volume calculations, and thawing cycle calculations, not to mention the standard requirements for sample quality tracking like date and time recording in every process. Personally, as a lab manager, I appreciate that the system is intuitive, you can overwiev all data in one customizable table, it is possible to create and save custom views with filters for each needed report e.g., about amout of incomming blood samples in particular study, or the number of patients involved during the specified period. DiData LIMS making it easy to import/export data, derive new samples from large unregistered data sets, and thus, we have been able to organize a large volume of previously unregistered samples. Administrator user can also correct data which is essential as stuff in hospitals do not have time to correct if unusual situation occur. Anyone could track corrected fields in the audit and find recently or at particular date corrected samples etc. The system allows for the creation of storage units in any format (which vary in each laboratory) that match the physical location of the sample. It also supports the addition of label printers, scanners etc. Generate labels with customisable information like ID, date, tube type, process, barcodes, as well as registering boxes and tubes with existing QR codes. ### 6. For us, that we previously relied on Excel lists, this is very much an improvement to reduce errors and have all data registered in one single tool. I very much like the flexibiilty to customize your own workflows. For workflow customization I must thank the DiDATA team who have actively support us throughout the entire process. **What do you dislike about Di-LIMS?** The only downside that I would see is that DiDATA allows to register a lot of different data and samples and you need to get used to the system to know where to find what. However, I do think that with a bit of practice it becomes easy as DiDATA has a use friendly navigation. **What problems is Di-LIMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sample tracking and registration. Flexibility and user-friendly are the main advantages: fields, workflows, forms and actions can be added and edited very easily, making it very adaptable. The main views are very similar to Excel making it easy to adopt. Import and export to excel are also very easy.
