If there is any downside, and it's probably unavoidable, it would be that deleting some verbal tics and anomalies introduces a kind of flutter in the voice of the speaker. But there's no way I could edit the pauses and uh's and um's any more precisely. The ai assistant is immediately responsive. I was on Descript for five minutes before I understood what was going on. And I've only recently begun using technology to record a podcast and build a website. And the cost is very reasonable, $4 an episode to do what could take me hours. Not a bad return! I like the quality of the transcripts in Spanish and that I can share it with the students. There are also many editing options to improve it. Being able to export it is also a very good point.

Descript completely changed the way I edit videos and podcasts. The text based editing is brilliant being able to cut or rearrange content just by editing text feels super intuitive. The Overdub and Studio Sound features save me a lot of time, and the interface is clean and easy to learn. I find it challenging to work with the AI voiceover feature in Descript. Aligning it exactly with the original voiceover takes a lot of time and effort, which disrupts my workflow. Additionally, once the AI voiceover is edited to audio, the inability to revert back is an inconvenience. I sometimes find the interpreter integration with the keyboard and mouse a bit challenging, making the interaction slightly less intuitive than I would prefer.
