What do you dislike about Cutshort?

The platform is fundamentally crippled by a glaring omission of basic, essential features, making it practically unusable. The single biggest flaw is the complete inability to search for a candidate by name or email—a core function for any job board. With over 1,800 applicants, we were told this was an "advanced" feature locked behind a paywall, rendering the free plan useless. This frustration is compounded by rigid and inefficient workflows; for example, it's impossible to take any action on a candidate, even in bulk, without first manually shortlisting them, which creates a administrative bottleneck. When you inevitably run into these issues, getting help is an ordeal. The support is dreadful. 1 chat in 25 has actually been answered by a human. There are several aspects of Cutshort that I particularly like but here are my top four favourite :

Continuous Improvements: Cutshort actively listens to user suggestions, making us feel appreciated and valued :) . They incorporate user feedback into the platform's updates, ensuring it aligns with our evolving needs.

Candidate Experience: Cutshort places a strong emphasis on the candidate experience. This is crucial for attracting top talent in the competitive tech industry. The platform provides a user-friendly interface for candidates and ensures a smooth application process.

Loading Time After Rejection: The loading time after rejecting a candidate can be a bit lengthy, which can slow down the workflow. Faster response times would improve efficiency.

Archiving Closed Positions: Currently, when a position is closed, it remains in the same dashboard, which can clutter the workspace.

For example, there were occasions when the dashboard failed to open or experienced slow loading times. These disruptions temporarily hindered our workflow and created minor inconveniences. It would be beneficial if Cutshort could address these issues promptly to ensure a seamless user experience.

Additionally, although Cutshort's candidate matching algorithm generally presents relevant profiles, there have been a few instances where the suggested candidates were not as closely aligned with our requirements. While this is understandable given the complexity of matching algorithms, it would be advantageous if Cutshort could further fine-tune their system to enhance the accuracy of candidate recommendations. The Best part I found is FILTERS; the product has relevant filters that overcome my burden and save time in targeting the apt candidate for the position.

What do you dislike about Cutshort?

I think there is a question mark for non-IT positions on using Cutshort.

No, the Support team tries to resolve all the issues, and sometimes they do it themselves from the backend.

I think re-posting the job again after a few months of the gap to attract talent. There should be a feature to re-post the job automatically and ask the users if any update is required to add or delete from the JD instead of posting the whole job again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
