What do you like best?

I like the camaraderie and openness - it's a good feeling to know there are generous and friendly people in the world. I often check the site when traveling. I think the site could be wildly more popular if the design was better looking and had a more unique look and navigation that had an easier flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It's all about the flow of the site, I do wish it was more Airbnb streamlined and easy to navigate and less craigslist. It's a challenge navigating from one profile to another - it would be great if once you click on a user's profile you could then navigate to another without having to go back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It's a great site for expanding your networking and creating a community in a new area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

again knowing that there are good, honest, warm people around is just amazingly comforting even if you don't actually meet them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The CouchSurfing community is incredibly welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed the feeling of staying with a friend versus staying in a hotel or even an AirBNB. I made new friendships, bonded with my hosts and learned about lifestyles & interests that were new to me. Hanging out to watch TV, or meet hosts' friends over a beer are memories that will last forever. They added to my trips in ways I didn't anticipate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The only real downside is it can take a lot of effort to find a bite for hosts. The amount of inquiries and connections needed for a single stay may be daunting for some users. Given the nature of hosting a stranger for free on your couch, it's not terribly surprising though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Forget any stigma about staying on a stranger's couch. It's not shady or weird or icky. It's a great way to meet people and make lasting friendships. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

There are a few problems that were solved with CouchSurfing:

Price/Budget - having somebody host you overnight for free, especially on their sofa is a huge benefit to keeping long road trip budgets in check. With a light pack and some smart food planning, lodging becomes one of, if not the biggest expense. Cutting that out helps make long bike trips affordable.

Location - With most road trips, there may not be as many lodging or AirBNB options available in certain areas. I found that basing my trips around CouchSurfing destinations added interesting stops to the trip.

Adventure/Interest/Bonding - Hotels and AirBNBs are fine for getting a roof over your head for the night. But I loved the personal connections that I made with my hosts. They were friendly, warm, and opened up their extended friend network to me. The memories from those connections made every trip better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Coach Surfing has made it easy to link up with people and form further social networking with people from different backgrounds and cultures around the globe. It helps people share their travel experiences with other people and these stories lead to bonding with different people, families and cultures. Its a open world software helping to eliminate racism because its a culture based software for people to interact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Some areas of the world have almost no services for Coach Surfing software either because the people are not aware of it or just ignorant. Its also not quite usable to some cultures which are very conservative and private. For people who want their personal space and a little measure of privacy, it doesn't offer that because your living in a hosts environment and house and their rules normally do apply. Some hosts are totally creepy and weird. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you want to travel the world on a complete low budget and avoid expensive hotel accommodation costs, this is the budget software to adopt to. Most surfers are people who want to interact and form useful relationships full of dialog and shared cultures plus great stories and recommendations for travel experience. Most surfers will never get boring days because of the many activities to chose from with other or with the host inclusive. Its basically for fun loving and easy going people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It helps people to be kind and are able to give back to others this humility by opening up their homes, lives and culture to other people. It helps people on tour to be able find city attractions and activities like dance classes, fine dinning with friendly people, hiking tours and therefore give users a new experience in that town or region. The hosts are able to learn new languages from the visitors and vice versa, leading to a total new experience for both parties. It does not encourage any hook ups for sex, which makes it further safe and authentic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I travel a lot for business and its really great to have affordable accommodation and meet great new people and socialize. This also helps greatly to know the area quickly, so you can get the most out of the travel. It helps me get to know the general public in each area and their attitudes. Good for marketing survey. I love getting to meet local people while traveling across the country and aboard. It's also a way to have a place to stay free. What do you dislike?
