If you don't already have a tool to manage price items and records and if you don't have massive amount of data to maintain, the tool could be for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1) Data Integration. 1a) PROS cannot handle space. You must assign designated value to represent blank, PROSNA for price records and ALL for lookup tables. Blank does not always mean ALL based on the context of the data. 1b) In the ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) process, PROS does not do any data transformation. The client system must assume this responsibility irrespective of the direction of data flow. 1c) Referential integrity cannot be selectively turned off. 2) The User Interface. 2a) There are too many clicks. You must re-select the same set of items to manage as you perform each function and as you go from screen to screen. 2b) The filter values are kept when you switch from one Master Price List to another. 2c) Tough to manage a lot of data because of Excel like interface. 2d) Performance. Hourglassing or spinning even for a very simple task. 3) Price Management Process. 3a) Both price items and price records have dates and are confusing at best. 3b) Can't expire records without changing the date of the price items. 3c) Expiring a record is being simulated by deleting portion of the record. Such an action makes it challenging to integrate with the client system when the client system does not physically delete a record. 3d) When expiring a record, if you have other records following the date to be expired, PROS deletes everything, not just a specific record for a specific date range. 3e) You can mass upload price items but must still update price records one at a time.
