Agents run on three technologies. Conversational AI agents hold natural, multi-turn dialogue on voice, SMS, WhatsApp, web chat, Gmail, Outlook, Slack, and Microsoft Teams to qualify leads, answer questions, and collect details. Autonomous AI agents work in the background on events, schedules, or thresholds and complete multi-step tasks across connected systems. Cognitive AI agents unite the two: they talk and act in the same exchange, for example screening a job applicant and booking the interview, or qualifying a lead and sending the quote, while the person is still in the conversation. When a case needs a person, the agent hands it over with the full context.
