## Cloudinary Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless Setup, Needs Improved Asset Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie R.

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

I find Cloudinary's upload and download functionality via API to be incredibly simple and useful. It saves me time and effort when handling images and animations that I store and later use in my projects. The ease of use makes my workflow more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

I find the asset management and file structure in Cloudinary to be clunky. Additionally, the availability of download links is limited to certain screens, which can be inconvenient.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cloudinary to store and manage images and animations efficiently, simplifying my process of assembling and posting videos on social media.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> We're glad to hear that you find our upload and download functionality via API to be simple and useful. We appreciate your feedback on the asset management and file structure, and we are continuously working to improve the user experience. Thank you for using Cloudinary to simplify your process of assembling and posting videos on social media.

  ### 2. Game changer for our workflow. Cloudinary delivers!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Textiles | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Cloudinary has really revolutionized how we manage and share our product imagery, proving to be an indispensable platform for our business. As a company that relies heavily on visual content for our partners who sell our products, the ability to seamlessly distribute images has been a huge upgrade.

Our design team is especially thrilled with Cloudinary's robust transformation capabilities. The excitement around being able to upload a single, high-resolution image and then dynamically generate countless optimized versions on the fly is palpable. This not only saves time, but storage as well, and it ensures consistency and quality across all of our channels.

Cloudinary has made daily operations incredibly smooth for our team. Our ecommerce analysts and sales department now find it super easy to access and pull the specific image assets they need, precisely when they need them. This efficiency has streamlined our internal processes and enhanced our ability to support our partners quickly and effectively.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Understanding the pricing model and factoring in storage, bandwidth, and transformations. While there's a generous free tier, scaling up can become expensive, and understanding how different actions translate into "credits" or costs can be confusing.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary has been instrumental in solving the challenge of efficient streaming and sharing of product images to our partners. Before Cloudinary, distributing high-quality visual content to our resellers was a more cumbersome process. Now, the platform facilitates a seamless and streamlined flow, allowing us to quickly get our product imagery into the hands of those who sell our goods, which has been incredibly beneficial for our operational efficiency and partner relations.

Another significant problem Cloudinary has addressed revolves around our design workflow and image versioning. Our designers used to spend valuable time creating and managing countless iterations of images for different platforms, sizes, and purposes. With Cloudinary, they are incredibly excited about the ability to save just one master image and then dynamically generate multiple versions on the fly through powerful transformations. This capability not only saves lots of time and storage but also ensures consistency and quality across all our diverse channels and partner platforms.

Cloudinary has simplified the daily tasks of our non-technical teams, specifically our ecommerce analysts and sales people. A common headache was the time and effort required to pull specific product images for their day to day needs, whether for marketing campaigns or direct sales inquiries. Cloudinary has made this process super easy and intuitive, allowing them to quickly access and utilize images as needed. This ease of access has streamlined our internal processes considerably and significantly enhanced our ability to promptly and effectively support our partners.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review! We're thrilled Cloudinary is transforming your design workflow and making image access effortless across teams. We hear you on pricing clarity, simplifying that experience is a priority, and your insight helps guide our improvements.

  ### 3. Robust DAM suited for technical teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Cloudinary is feature-rich, which can be helpful, but takes some getting used to. They do offer lots of training documentation, webinars, and have responded quickly on their help forum. I particularly like all of the tagging and filtering, it makes sorting and searching images easy. The collection feature is also a great value for sharing assets with people outside of your organization.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

When my team first started using cloudinary in 2022, it felt overbuilt and overly complex to perform some basic features. The UI has gotten much better, but the product still has many features my team doesn't use for managing our front-end assets and some basic tasks still require specialization and training to get the hang of.

The integration with Contentful, my CMS, is still rudimentary.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary is our DAM for Contentful, allowing us to host images and assets, apply transformations to the front end, and share files with external partners.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thanks for the thoughtful review! We're glad Cloudinary's tagging, filtering, and collections are helping streamline your asset management and external sharing. We hear your feedback on complexity and Contentful integration we’re continuously working to improve usability and expand CMS support.

  ### 4. Cloudinary Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lyam C. | Digital Media Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

The user interface is highly intuitive, and it offers a wide range of features that I find extremely useful.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Finding the right item can be quite difficult due to the current tagging system.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a general library designed for organizing the media we use every day, and it offers a simple way to locate items.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> We appreciate your input. Our goal is to provide a seamless media organization solution, and we are committed to addressing the difficulties you've encountered with our tagging system.

  ### 5. Generate Multiple Versions Easily from a Single Photo

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

The fact of only having to upload a single photo and then being able to have x versions of it depending on the parameters you specify

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

The solution is a bit expensive when using tens of thousands of images.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This allows outsourcing all image management issues and enables focusing on one's core business.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thank you for highlighting the benefit of outsourcing image management, allowing you to focus on your core business. We're committed to providing a valuable solution for your needs.

  ### 6. Steady CDN with quirks

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

It was easy to setup and there's enough documentation and support to make it all work. Good amount of pre-defined libraries to hook it up.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Very complicated navigation on the site. Hard to figure out transformations taking place. Pricing model for transformations in videos is not transparent.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to store and serve large amounts of images and videos on demand. Allows us transform images on the fly. Allows customers to upload their custom assets to be served to their customers and employees.
Allows us to stream uploaded videos to prevent mp4s from being exposed and downloaded by end users.
We don't need to host CDN ourselves and can rely on Cloudinary to take care of the server up time and traffic.
It allows us to see the amount of traffic to the site and amount of assets being viewed and downloaded by our customers.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> We're glad to hear that you found Cloudinary easy to set up and that the documentation and support were helpful for you. We understand your concerns about the complicated navigation and transparency of the pricing model for video transformations, and we are constantly working to improve the user experience and make our pricing more transparent.

  ### 7. User-Friendly App for Effortless Image Storage

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

It's a great application for image storage! Very user-friendly and simple to understand.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

The storage limits. I have been getting emails about my storage running out.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work for a video game company and we need a simple place to store our game images. Cloudinary is the best option we've found so far for user-friendly interface.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> It's great to hear that Cloudinary is benefiting your video game company by providing a simple place to store game images. We appreciate your support and will continue to enhance our services.

Digital dam simplifies the process of sharing assets throughout the business, making collaboration more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

S3's lack of compliance has been a source of frustration for me.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring effective content delivery and optimizing images for various devices has been a key benefit. The process of managing content and images across different platforms is noticeably improved.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> It's great to hear that Cloudinary is helping you ensure effective content delivery and optimize images for various devices. We're committed to providing solutions that improve content and image management across different platforms.

  ### 9. Effortless Moderation and Powerful Image Search

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

The easy moderation process and ability to search and look up images, even ones that have been uploaded months or even years earlier.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

The UX isn't always intuitive, it can be difficult to find what you need straight away.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It hosts our images for our peer-to-peer marketplace, as we cannot store these images ourselves It also optimises the images so they can seamlessly fit on our users listing pages.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> We're glad to hear that you find the moderation process and image search capabilities effortless and powerful. We understand the importance of an intuitive user experience and are continuously working to improve it. Thank you for your feedback!

  ### 10. Great ease of implementation.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

It's ease of use. Personaly I don't use the available image enhacing/optimization tools, but I like very much the ease of integration of the Cloudinary API in code, it works very well.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Perhaps I haven't found something to strongly dislike.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a CDN service and cloudinary provides with no issues.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> It's great to hear that Cloudinary is meeting your needs for a CDN service without any issues. We appreciate your support and are here to assist with any further requirements.

  ### 11. Execellent API support for developers.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis B. | Principle Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

I like the ease of signup and very generous free tier.

I regularly run workshops in which participants build a starter web application which allows users to upload images through the browser on mobile phones.

I like the cloudinary dashboard which immidiatelly presents a code example to integrate the upload into a node.js application.

We also use cloudinary as CDN for pdf documents and host all media presented on our corporate website geolytix.com on cloudinary.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Having to install the cloudinary node package is somewhat cumbersome and completely unnecessary. It is fairly easy to sign an url for upload to the cloudinary API directly from the browser. The trickiest bit was to find the example.

The media explorer interface is somewhat long in the tooth. Batch uploads could be smoother.

I'd prefer if the file name would be retained when uploading an image through the media explorer interface into a folder.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am building web applications that allow user to upload images and documents from the browser to cloudinary. An example is a mapping application which allows the user to take an image with the phone and upload the image directly to cloudinary by signing the upload URL in an AWS lambda with access to the cloudinary account secrets.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Awesome to hear Cloudinary’s making a difference in your workshops and web projects! Love that you're using the dashboard code snippets and CDN features to the fullest. Your feedback on the SDK, media explorer, and upload flow is super helpful—we’re actively refining those areas. Thanks for sharing your experience!

  ### 12. Great for Image Management, But Tagging Is Crucial

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Cloudinary is an excellent tool for managing images. I find it very effective for organizing and handling my image files.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

if people don't tag the images correctly it struggles to find them

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a convenient solution for quickly locating images whenever I need them.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> We appreciate your positive feedback about Cloudinary's image management capabilities. We understand the significance of tagging and are committed to improving our tagging functionality to ensure a seamless experience for our users.

  ### 13. Wren Kitchens Content Writer Cloudinary Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Cloudinary is an excellent storage system for all of our visual and audio assets and it makes it very easy to share assets between the different departments of our company. It is also very helpful with how it modifies images for different platforms.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

We have recently had a lot of trouble embedding our cloudinary links to videos in our eLearning training material on Rise360. While we have been in touch with cloudinary support on several occasions, they have yet to resolve this issue so we've had to start embedding videos on the modules themselves instead.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of sharing and accessing our video, audio and visual assets across the entire company. This is a big help for our training team so we can include footage and photography taken from showrooms and houses across the country.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thanks for the great feedback! We're glad Cloudinary helps streamline asset sharing and image optimization across your teams. We’re sorry for the trouble with embedding video links in your eLearning material — our support team is looking into it and will work to find a resolution.

  ### 14. Centralized Asset Management Made Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Having all of our assets stored in one easily accessible and searchable place

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

it can run into glitches sometimes, and not download things properly

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to easily find assets. This helps save so much time in the day

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

  ### 15. Simple to tag items and organize your favourites, however navigating isn't straightforward

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

It's simple to tag items and organize your favourites, making it convenient to access them later.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Navigating the platform isn't very straightforward, and locating assets based on their resolution can be challenging. Lack of transparent overview to folder hierarchy.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assign assets to different web modules.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand the importance of easy navigation and will work on providing a more transparent overview of the folder hierarchy to improve the user experience.

  ### 16. hands down the best image software for developers bar none

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

The free tier has about 5 years worth of my photos and shows no signs of reaching the cost plans. I use it so often that I actually developed an npm package that will programmatically watch my Screenshots directory, then copy the markdown-formatted image to my clipboard that I use in my static site generated personal blog. It's extremely easy to use, and has integrations for literally any framework out there. The documentation is amazing as well.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Literally not a single thing. Well, actually, the UI post logging in doesn't have a lot of use, and I think most would prefer to be redirected to their media library, rather than what it currently does.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for my image heavy development blog and any other project that I'm working on including for client projects where I'll just have them create an account and uplaod all their assests themselves. Saves untold hours.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Love how you've made Cloudinary a seamless part of your workflow—and even built your own tool around it! That kind of developer creativity is exactly what we hope to empower. Great call on the UI landing experience—we hear you. Really appreciate you sharing how it's saving time across personal and client projects!

  ### 17. A review of Cloudinary

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Easy file storage and api integration, image modification on the fly

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Automatic detection of inappropriate material seems flawed to me

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hosting and compressing video files, delivering transformed / reduced quality videos to various platforms

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> It's great to hear that Cloudinary is helping you with hosting, compressing, and delivering transformed video files to various platforms. We're committed to providing the best solutions for your needs.

  ### 18. Cloudinary makes my digital asset management easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

What I like best about Cloudinary is how easy it makes media management. I can upload, transform, optimize, and deliver images and videos all through one platform, with just a URL. The automatic format and quality optimization is a huge win for performance, and the transformation API is incredibly powerful for dynamic content.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Sometimes the pricing can get a little tricky, especially when you scale up or have a lot of transformations happening behind the scenes. Also, the UI could be a bit more intuitive when navigating between assets, transformations, and settings. But overall, the functionality still outweighs the drawbacks.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary solves the headache of managing and delivering media at scale. I use the API in both TypeScript and Go, and it’s super smooth to integrate—whether I’m uploading assets, applying transformations, or fetching optimized URLs on the fly. It saves me from writing boilerplate image-processing code, and the CDN delivery keeps everything fast. Overall, it cuts dev time, keeps performance sharp, and simplifies media handling across platforms.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> We're glad to hear Cloudinary is making media management easier and more efficient for you! Simplifying the way developers work with images and videos is exactly what we aim for. We appreciate your feedback on pricing and UI—transparency and usability are areas we're actively working to improve. Thanks for sharing your experience!

  ### 19. Excelence delivered

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milos B. | Fractional CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Cloudinary is an amazing system for delivering media files to your visitors. Optimised for device, screen and size. It handles a lot of file manipulation out of the box without too many adjustments. You can have it setup quickly and or advanced. based on your preferences

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Delivering images to certain systems is a bit complicated and also some restrictions based on your plan are too restrictive

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary is our main image hosting provider. Providing us with a state of art CDN with advanced capabilities

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thanks for the kind words! We're glad Cloudinary is powering your media delivery with speed and flexibility right out of the box. We appreciate the feedback on system integrations and plan limits, always working to make both more adaptable to your needs.

  ### 20. Seamless Image Integration with Cloudinary Connector

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

I love that the images connect seamlessly to our design files using the Cloudinary Connector.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

In my opinion, sharing Collections would be more convenient if there were an option to create subfolders. This would allow us to organize collections by brand, which would be especially helpful in our situation.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Cloudinary Connector for Adobe has been incredibly useful in linking our design files with our assets. It streamlines the process and makes managing our resources much easier.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> We're glad to hear that you love the seamless image integration with our Cloudinary Connector!

  ### 21. good tool with decent options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** C J. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

ease of use. navigation is bit tricky at the beginning but once you get used to it, its fine

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

slow speed. not easy to understand some of the tools such as edit

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ease of uploading certain assets w/o having to do a code deployment is one of the major reasons.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Cloudinary easy to use. We understand that navigation can be tricky at first, but we're continuously working to improve user experience.

  ### 22. A tool whose effectiveness makes it easy to forget

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William R. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Optimisation and automatic generation of images adapted to each device. A real plus for easily optimising the user experience and the KPIs associated with CoreWeb Vitals. The solution is easy to integrate thanks to the wide range of frameworks supported. It's a tool that knows how to make itself invisible while providing real added value. It's becoming an essential part of our day-to-day business. The support team is very responsive, and I've used it to deal with invoicing issues and have always received a fast, efficient response.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Monitoring of consumption and usage could be improved. The indicators are fairly poor. It would also be good to be able to filter out unhelpful bots that consume credits. Caching is very good, sometimes too good. It's quite difficult to make an image cache expire.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's very easy to manipulate existing images to adapt them to the new constraints of a design system. What's more, the optimisation and automatic generation of images adapted to each device is also a real performance booster.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Love how seamlessly Cloudinary has become part of your daily workflow—and that it's delivering real value on both performance and Core Web Vitals. Your feedback on usage monitoring and cache control is spot on, and we're actively working to make those areas more transparent and flexible. Thanks for the detailed insight!

  ### 23. An intuitive placeholder for storing the assets

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

The ability to update image with handy AI tools on edit.
The ease of finding the assets easily through search

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

For an asset within a folder, I wanted to know if I uploaded the image against an older image without having to go to Open > Summary navigation. Maybe grouping of the image within the folder will help such case.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a storage system to store the images/videos that can be shared and linked within the web application

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> It's great to hear that Cloudinary is providing a beneficial storage system for your images and videos. We appreciate your support!

  ### 24. Cloudinary facilitating image management and improvements in photo quality

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus R. | Analisate de Operações, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

What I like and appreciate most about Cloudinary is the ability to resize images, work on their quality, especially when dealing with the demand for product promotion images. Often we receive images with low proportion and dimension, and Cloudinary assists in editing these images, making them much more applicable.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

I believe that the price of the premium plan is a hindrance, it requires an investment, as the free plan is limited. The understanding of the tool as well, I believe that clearer and more interactive documents and manuals help in understanding how to use the tool at its best performance.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary is assisting me in editing product images, where the images are captured by third parties and do not come in a standard proportion and quality of dimension. I am able to edit and standardize the images according to the need.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Great to hear Cloudinary is helping you enhance and standardize product images—that’s exactly the kind of flexibility we aim to provide. We appreciate your feedback on pricing and documentation—clearer guidance and more accessible learning resources are definitely a priority as we grow. Thanks for sharing your experience!

It's a really easy interface where everything you want to find is accessible easily. It's a really excellent, streamlined platform.

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

The best thing for me is that Cloudinary automatically optimizes images for different devices. It reduces file size without losing quality, which saves me a lot of time compared to manual optimization.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Learning curve is steep for beginners without technical background.API responses can be slow during peak usage times.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of manually creating multiple versions of the same image for different devices, Cloudinary automatically generates responsive versions. This saves me countless hours of work and ensures that my site looks good on any screen.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Cloudinary's automatic image optimization. We acknowledge the learning curve can be challenging for beginners and are committed to providing more resources and support for users without a technical background. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by slow API responses and are working to enhance our system's responsiveness during peak usage times.

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

I like that you can create on the go image and video transformations.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

I think the GUI is a little clunky and the navigation is confusing.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cloudinary to store images and videos. I use the image and video optimizations

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thank you for your feedback on the GUI and navigation. We're constantly working to improve user experience.

  ### 33. Indispensable enterprise-grade power for the little guys

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samuel M. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

There’s no better solution for asset management. Being able to control how your assets are not just rendered, but their delivery, is incredibly critical in this modern web world.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

I really don’t dislike anything, however their interface went for user-friendly over being able to find the controls you need. After years, I still get lost. Docs need better organization. Everything needed is available and intuitive, but cumbersome for seasoned developers.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Handling massive amounts of assets that users on mobile devices expect to appear fast, clear and on demand.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Great to hear Cloudinary’s delivering the performance and control you need! We hear you on the UI and docs—improving usability for experienced devs is on our radar. Appreciate the insight!

  ### 34. Effortless Audio Hosting with Shareable Links

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

The ability to host audio with shareable links.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

The lack of a cheaper subscription model.

I use this as a hosting solution for video and audio files to integrate with Webflow.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're pleased that you find the ability to host audio with shareable links valuable. We are continuously evaluating our pricing models to ensure they are competitive and offer good value for our customers.

  ### 35. A game changing tool for image processing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Insane amounts of customizability. Extremely fair pricing with generous free tier. Once you have your transformations setup, everything works great and is very easy to integrate into your workflow.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

There is a bit of a learning curve, and definitely a bit more suited towards developers or no-coders.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Standardizing images with tons of edits and transformations, and delivering them through a fast CDN, at scale.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thank you for your positive feedback! We understand that Cloudinary may be more developer-oriented, but we strive to provide resources and support to make the platform accessible to all users.

  ### 36. A must-have vendor for any site optimization needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary C. | Front End Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

I love Cloudinary's on the fly transformations which can be activated by writing only a few words on the image or video url. At my job we rely heavily on it for video and image optimizations. No other vendor comes close when it comes to providing this service. This allows images to load fast and keeps our google site speed scores in great standards. Cloudinary has some great advanced features as well as custom widgets, and advanced video cropping options. Cloudinary offers tons of options and has great documentation available online.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

The Cloudinary JS automatically updates. I would rather have control on when it updates as it can break things when using their widget. (This does not impact hosted images and videos that are in Cloudinary.)

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary is always constantly improving its features on how it automatically resizes hosted images, and updates its widgets frequently which end up working great in the end.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> It’s great to hear how central Cloudinary is to your optimization workflow—especially with URL-based transformations and site speed impact. Your point on JS updates is totally valid, and we're exploring more flexible options to give developers greater control. Really appreciate the thoughtful feedback!

  ### 37. Very easy to use with great compatibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimberly J. | Supplier Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

It's very easy to use. I can drop my image in and the link is instantly ready for me to use as needed.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Lately there has been odd coding added to the end of the file names; not sure what that's about, but it doesn't appear that I can change it. Also, editing directly within Cloudinary could be easier.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is saving space on our servers and it's helping my company have easier access.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thanks for the feedback! We're glad Cloudinary’s simplicity and instant links are helping your team stay efficient. Noted on the file name quirks and editing, improving control and ease of use is definitely on our radar.

  ### 38. Image serving for company web site through Cloudinary

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Ease of use and robust cross-platform integration has made Cloudinary an indispensable asset for the online presence of Bass Pro Shops. Moving from Adobe Scene7 to Cloudinary was made easy by expert technical support and good communcation with Cloudinary's engineers. Several teams in Digital Production work daily in Cloudinary to support web initiatives and build product imagery for online and retail purposes. We literally could not function without Cloudinary.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Complaints or dislikes are minimal. Asset searches can be a bit tedious and Cloudinary didn't have an out-of-box solution for a video sitemap. But, those have been minor concerns and Cloudinary has been quick to help us with any issues that have come up.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary serves as our image host for online sales. They were able to quickly and efficiently get us moved from our previous host, Adobe Dynamic Media (Scene7), and up and running with virtually no downtime.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> It’s incredible to hear how integral Cloudinary has become to your workflow—especially across teams and at scale. We’re proud to support your move from Scene7 and help keep things running smoothly. Appreciate the note on asset search and video sitemap—we’re always refining the experience. Thanks for the trust!

  ### 39. Seamless performance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William A. | Owner/Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

The free tier is a gneours stepping stone to growth. Scaling into robust image and video solutions is easy. Whether using their dedictaed player for videos or crafting your wown the potential is limitless and performant.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

The docuementaion is rich but a little hard to navigate. The pricing structure is a little hard to understand, but I havent met the upper limits of my pro account and I'm well within the limit.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy implementation and management across multiple client sites

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Great to hear Cloudinary is powering smooth scaling and easy implementation across your projects! We appreciate the feedback on documentation and pricing—both are areas we’re continually improving to match the flexibility of the platform. Thanks for the thoughtful insights!

  ### 40. One of the easiest SDKs to integrate for on-the-fly image transformations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

This was so easy to setup, install, and load the SDK into my software. We were able to scale our application to accept millions of user images very quickly. Integration took just a few hours and the support and documentation on their website is very easy to follow. They have so many features for image transformations that saved us countless hours of cusotm development. We used Cloudinary daily for 8 years.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

The only downside is their admin control panel - which they keep changing the UI so it's hard for me to find things. Once I get used to sofware I don't expect such dramatic changes to the control panel. Other than that, no issues - a great product.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Image hosting, image optimization and helping us focus on other business related requirements instead of building complex image pipelines.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thanks for sharing such a strong endorsement—and eight years of daily use is amazing to hear! We're glad Cloudinary helped you scale quickly and skip the heavy lifting on custom image workflows. Totally hear you on the admin UI changes—consistency is important, and we’re working to strike the right balance between improvements and familiarity.

  ### 41. works exactly as its meant to!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

super easy interface, super performant. great reporting features.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

lots of features i don't need taking up prominence in the ui. occasional CS delays

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

content management - easy to integrate and use for a very vanilla use case. previously used it for CDN as well and worked great worldwide (including china)

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Cloudinary's interface easy to use and its performance great! We appreciate your feedback about the prominence of certain features and will take it into consideration for future updates. We apologize for any delays in customer service and are continuously working to improve our response times. Thank you for choosing Cloudinary for your content management needs!

  ### 42. Overall a good product!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

The SDKs are very nice and relatively easy to use, most of the time. The features Cloudinary provides aside from basic media upload and retrieval are very handy.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

The documentation could be better. Sometimes it's hard to find information on certain things. More examples might help as well.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uploading, storing, compressing, and serving media.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thanks for the review! We're glad you're finding our SDKs and media features useful. We hear your feedback on documentation more examples and clearer guidance are on our roadmap to make your experience even smoother.

  ### 43. Great storage without taking up space on computer!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

There are so many features that help with mass storage and sharing of images. I love how my company can all have access to needed photos while provide URLs with limited access to people outside our company.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

There are tons of cool features offered, but it can be challenging to navigate or understand how they all work.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a mass amount of photos that need to be stored on our CRM and shared with clients and being able to provide a URL in these areas helps eliminate storage and easy to share.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thanks for the kind words! We're glad Cloudinary is helping your team store, manage, and securely share media with ease. We know the feature set can be deep, and we're working to make navigation and onboarding even more intuitive.

  ### 44. Asset management dream

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

The tools provided for managing a large number of assets, and the documentation and support team to help you achieve it. I can't stress enough how great their support team have been every time I needed to reach out.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Not many things to outright dislike. Their tech moves fast, and sometimes the documentation falls a little behind or is too voluminous to easily work with.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mass asset storage. A near 7-figure asset catalogue and all the tools available to upload, download, and backup files has made it easy. Integrating API's in our PIM, or Mass folder uploads via CLI or the Python package is a breeze

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Managing close to a million assets is no small feat—glad to hear Cloudinary is making it seamless for you! We're especially proud that our support team has been a reliable partner. Great feedback on the docs as well—keeping them sharp is a top priority as we continue to evolve.

  ### 45. Quality Enterprise-Scale Digital Asset Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael B. | Marketing Systems Admin, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Cloudinary has straightforward and robust permissioning, which is incredibly helpful for managing access across a range of applications that rely on our DAM, including email and text messages, our app, and website.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Migrating assets can be tedious, so it is important to map out a storage structure when getting started with new projects.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized image store across our brands and digital properties.
Image optimization to ensure quality rendering across different mediums and clients.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Glad to hear Cloudinary’s permissioning is helping manage access across your platforms. You're absolutely right—planning your folder structure early makes migrations much smoother. Thanks for the feedback!

  ### 46. Swiss Army Knive

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

We especially like using the API, metadata features, and inline URL parameters.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

I wish there was better Drupal integrations available and that the auto-tagging could learn our product names from our existing metadata.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storing and organizing all of your digital assets in one place is a tremendous benefit of any DAM platform. Cloudinary, specifically, also helps avoid the proliferation of variants by nature of the inline URL parameters that can make image adjustments on the fly. Cloudinary also serves as a great CDN for our digital assets.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thanks for the fantastic review! We love hearing how the API, metadata, and on-the-fly transformations are making a difference for your team. Your suggestions around Drupal integration and smarter auto-tagging are spot on—we’re always looking for ways to improve. Appreciate you being part of the Cloudinary community!

It allows me to link images to all of my products.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> Thanks for the kind words! We're glad to hear Cloudinary’s ease of use and responsive support are making image management smooth for you.
