**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Konjengbam M. | BDR, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

I love this platform for its robust capabilities to work with Image and video files. This platform can be used to optimize image allowing user to import form local files. I also love this platform for its capability to work collaboratively with teams. I also love the asset management capability of this platform. Other than this I also love the capability of this platform to transform video, create video player or start live streaming. The AI capability of this platform to check visual quality and brand checks is commendable. I also love the capability of this platform to manage workflow using this platform. The platform have good user friendly interface. The onboarding of this platform was easy and secured too. I love the integration capability of this platform.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

I love most part of this platform but I wish that the speed of switching operation was faster. I wish that the pricing can also be made with a moderate tier. I also feel that changing away from this platform after a prolong use might be difficult. The platform may also feel a little complex for new users and an little informative session might be useful for such users.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform makes task easier by allowing user to easily manage the media effective and efficiently. It takes off the load from the user to take care of each different processes. It enables user to focus on the core task improving the productivity of the user.

  ### 2. Efficient image management and optimization for marketing workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mato B. | Clinical Sales Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Cloudinary makes image management straightforward and efficient. I especially appreciate the automatic image optimization, flexible dynamic transformations, dependable hosting, and the fast delivery through its CDN.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

The platform does have a learning curve, particularly when you start using the more advanced image transformation and automation features. Some settings aren’t immediately intuitive, so it can take a bit of time to get comfortable and fully understand all the options available.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary solves the challenge of efficiently managing, optimizing, and delivering large volumes of images across different channels without requiring manual processing. In my work, where I regularly handle visual assets for branding, marketing materials, and customer presentations, it eliminates a lot of repetitive tasks—like resizing, reformatting, and optimizing images—so they’re ready for different use cases.

  ### 3. Reliable and powerful DAM & Asset Distribution service with many features and great support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simone F. | Solution Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Cloudinary is an excellent service for image and video runtime processing, helping you distribute content via a CDN. Its Digital Asset Management (DAM) system has an intuitive interface that enables users with varying levels of technical proficiency to manage assets and share them with stakeholders.

Cloudinary has a strong technical foundation, and it’s clearly built by developers for developers. It offers many features to process assets on demand as they’re consumed on your site, with a reliable CDN on top to distribute your content globally—optimized and transformed exactly as you want and need.

Cloudinary is also always improving and listening to customer needs. Very often, you even have the chance to speak directly with Product Owners and other responsible team members to suggest changes and have an open exchange about features and usability.

Integration with Contentful is easy and straightforward and also the usage of the different widgets for upload or video play are easy to integrate and full of built-in functionality.

The pricing may vary highly on the usage and traffic, however considering that, especially when speaking about the assets delivery, everything is fully managed, already give a great advantage and removes the burden of managing infrastructure and configurations. You only need to care about the content.

With the upcoming AI features Cloudinary is building, there will be the possibility to easily scale without the burden of manual human intervention. Assets moderation or enhancing content will become easy and straightforward, thanks also to the usage of agents that can support the build and engineering of such capabilities

Last but not least, Cloudinary provides excellent support. With Platinum or Diamond Support, responses to questions, doubts, and technical issues can arrive within minutes.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

It takes some time to master all the technical features provided by Cloudinary, and they’re not always intuitive to set up or manage.

I’d recommend having a technically responsible person on your team to take ownership of the system, because business requirements often need to be “translated” into implementation details on the Cloudinary platform. The SDKs and APIs could be improved, and in few cases their usage feels cumbersome or not very intuitive. As a result, development can slow down when you need to reach out to support to fully understand how certain features are meant to be used.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudinary:**

Always involve technical members because it has a steep learning curve in some cases and there're many details to be taken in consideration when setting up your accounts. Ask often support to understand better how to optimize your content delivery.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’ve moved our media asset management over to a SaaS system, so our developers barely have to worry anymore about how media content is displayed and optimized on our platform. We’ve also streamlined the architecture of our ecosystem by bringing DAM and media distribution together in a single system.

**Official Response from Eugene Musebe:**

> It’s great to hear Cloudinary is helping unify and simplify your media pipeline—from DAM to global distribution. We’re especially glad the platform is meeting both technical and business needs, and that support has been there when it counts. Your points on the learning curve and SDK usability are well taken—those are areas we’re actively working to streamline. Thanks for the detailed and thoughtful feedback!

  ### 4. Simple UI with Powerful File Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vip . | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

I really like Cloudinary's simple UI interface because it's easy to use and includes features like creating folder structures that I frequently use to organize my files. I also appreciate its ability to preview different file types like .mov and .mp4, which makes sharing them with clients seamless as they don't require any additional steps to review. The ease of sharing links and searching for them through its search feature is also very convenient. Another thing I like is how easy it was to set up Cloudinary; everything went smoothly through SSO, which made the whole process seamless. Additionally, being able to re-upload files easily because Cloudinary can detect file name duplicates is extremely useful when creating multiple versions of items.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

I would love Cloudinary to read HTML5. That would be helpful to me if it's able to stage different web-based files. Also, I would love if Cloudinary could be more integrated with the Adobe suite. For example, if After Effects could directly export into Cloudinary, that would be helpful.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cloudinary to upload files for client reviews, who can easily preview and download them. The simple UI helps organize files with folder structures, and re-upload files effortlessly. It supports sharing various file types seamlessly without additional steps for clients to review.

  ### 5. Effortless Automation for Images and Video

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giacomo V. | Head of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

The ability to manipulate images and videos simply by altering parameters in the asset URL is incredibly elegant.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Pricing model is preatty hard to understand and price level is really too expensive

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary solves the massive logistical headache of video engineering by automating complex tasks like format transcoding (such as adapting videos into lightweight formats like WebM or MP4 based on device support), adaptive bitrate streaming (delivering smooth playback across varying network conditions), and AI-driven smart cropping that automatically keeps the video's main action centered for mobile screens. This translates directly into seamless video asset delivery, allowing a responsive platform like myself to reference optimized media URLs that load instantly without heavy manual preprocessing

  ### 6. Effortless Image Management with Cloudinary

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

I use Cloudinary to store and categorize images, and I have all images in one place stored in an easy and organized fashion. It's easy to find and update categories so one of the thousands of images is easily found. I like that you can edit tags for many images at the same time and don't have to do it one at a time, which helps loads when I have made a new tag or am making new folders to be able to do it quickly and efficiently. The initial setup of Cloudinary was very easy, and it is very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

I would like there to be a setting so when you open an image you can have the setting set so it doesn't open the downloads tab but instead the metadata or summary tab. Also, when you have selected many images and then accidentally click on something outside the white select box, you unselect everything, which can be very annoying.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cloudinary to store and categorize images efficiently, with all images in one place. Editing tags for many images at once is quick and makes updating folders easier.

  ### 7. Powerful, flexible media automation — if you invest in the setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

The biggest value is programmatic, on-the-fly media transformation. Instead of briefing a designer or agency for every asset, we define a transformation once and reuse it everywhere: AI/content-aware cropping that turns rectangular shots into clean square formats, automated background removal, and banner composition that layers localized text, loyalty tiers, and discount values dynamically — no manual HTML alignment.
Integrations are where it really pays off. It plugs into our modular stack via API, so we ingest, tag, and serve assets without ever opening the DAM UI. The Contentful plugin lets the team swap landing-page assets directly; the Braze integration drives dynamic, localized email banners; and we built a one-click layer connecting Cloudinary to YouTube so brand marketing can publish video with a single button. One-button templates auto-crop and resize assets to each affiliate partner's spec, cutting time-to-market from days to minutes.
Performance is solid — assets are delivered fast and consistently across email, web, and affiliate channels from a single source of truth. On ROI, these automations sharply reduced our reliance on external agencies and freed in-house designers from routine resizing; marketing now assembles designs from templates (e.g. Google Sheets–driven) on its own.
The UI is approachable — "Google Photos for grown-ups" — and onboarding/support was a genuine differentiator: their team helped build our initial transformations, resolved early API issues quickly, and consistently ships features based on customer feedback.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Honestly, most of what I'd flag is less a shortcoming of the product and more a reflection of how capable it is. The same flexibility that makes Cloudinary powerful also means there's depth to learn — getting full value from programmatic transformations takes some comfort with CSS/HTML, and richer integrations call for a bit of engineering time. For a larger organization, it's worth going in knowing the platform rewards preparation: defining your taxonomy, folder structures, and workflows up front makes a real difference to how smoothly things scale. We did see a few cryptic API messages early on, though support helped us resolve them quickly. None of it held us back — it's really just a reminder that Cloudinary gives you a lot of room to build, and the results depend on the structure and processes you put around it.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary solves the problem of asset production and distribution being a bottleneck. Previously, routine work — resizing, reformatting, localizing, composing banners — meant briefing designers or agencies for every variation, which was slow and expensive. Now we define transformations once and reuse them at scale, so the marketing team ships assets itself.
Concretely: dynamic banner composition (via Braze) recreates complex, agency-level email designs automatically, layering localized text, loyalty tiers, and discounts on the fly. One-button templates auto-crop and resize assets to each affiliate partner's spec, turning what used to be days of manual work into minutes. A one-click layer we built between Cloudinary and YouTube lets brand marketing publish video without juggling file exchanges. And with the Contentful integration, landing-page assets are served and swapped directly from Cloudinary.
The benefit is speed and independence. Time-to-market dropped sharply, our dependency on external agencies fell, and in-house designers are freed from repetitive resizing to focus on higher-value work. Just as importantly, we now have a single, programmatic source of truth for media across email, web, and affiliate channels — instead of assets scattered across drives and tools.

  ### 8. Streamlined Asset Review with Effortless Search

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ellie M. | Buying and Merchandising Admin Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

Cloudinary helps me streamline my processes when checking for errors on shoots and making sure things go live on-site in time. I like that I can easily search for what I want to look for in the assets bar, and I can review things really easily without having to overdo my workload. It helps me streamline my processes because I can search it myself without having to ask a different team who would normally manage the shoot process. So if I want to check if something's been shot, I can easily review that with the asset tab. The setup was very, very easy and I didn't have any problems.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

Nothing really. I actually find everything quite helpful. I don't have any negatives.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary helps me streamline my processes when checking for errors of shoots and making sure things go live on-site in time. I can easily search what I want in the assets bar and review things without overdoing my workload, so I don't have to ask the team who manages the shoot process.

  ### 9. Powerful Search, A Single Source for Content

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cody S. | Store Manager / Marketing Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

I like how easy it is to search for files in Cloudinary. I can use it not only as a data resource, but also as a source of inspiration when using more generic terms. It does a great job at searching not only specific search terms, but parts or phrases that are similar. I appreciate the creation date filters, as I can see exactly what the teams are working on day-to-day. I also use the file type filter often to make sure I am getting the highest possible quality resources for the type of content I am creating that day. I appreciate the ability to quickly preview hundreds of files and view the full-size files quickly. Other platforms did not allow us to have such a macro and micro scope of content. It solves the problem of needing multiple programs and resources to host files, and our creative, marketing, design, and all of our teams use it as a single source of content. After we switched from our internal file server, it was much easier to see the content as a thumbnail size, and users could stay logged in instead of constantly re-logging into our system. The initial setup was quite easy. The login system is straightforward and easy to set up new employees and new teams with the content on day one.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

One area Cloudinary could improve is previewing videos from the site itself. To preview long videos, it can't be done quickly. I recently tried to watch a video made by the marketing team that was about 14 minutes, and it took time to load the preview. It was actually faster to download it than it was to wait for the preview to prepare. I did not cause any massive delays, but it did take a few extra steps. I think lower-res previews would be very helpful when browsing for videos and quickly being able to understand if the video can be useful to the business.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary solves the problem of needing multiple programs to host files. My creative, marketing, and design teams use it as a single source of content. It's easy to search for files, even with generic terms, and I can preview hundreds of files quickly. Users stay logged in too.

  ### 10. Smooth, User-Friendly Asset Management with Helpful AI Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Cloudinary?**

I find Cloudinary's user-friendly interface extremely helpful when attempting to find and organize a SKU. It allows my organization to neatly organize files in a structure that makes sense. I don't handle accounts for my business and therefore don't deal with pricing, so I cannot speak on the subject. Cloudinary integrates perfectly into my organizations workflow, letting us easily add images to the website. I was onboarded by my organization, but Cloudinary was easy to pick up and understand. I have experienced nothing but smooth performance and accurate search results. Cloudinary's AI features are also helpful for workflow.

**What do you dislike about Cloudinary?**

I have not experienced many issues other than slight search accuracy problems, but this is due to a SKU not being available in my organizations specific cloudinary structure.

**What problems is Cloudinary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudinary allows easy, seamless uploads of Ecommerce content to my organization's website.
