"Efficient, Affordable Backup Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about MSP360 Backup?

I really like how MSP360 Backup makes it easy to do daily backups without overusing space, thanks to its good compression. It's also great that it runs quickly in the background, allowing me to use my PC while backups are happening, and it supports versioning and incremental backups, which is incredibly handy. I find it very inexpensive for the job it does. I also appreciate the ability to create compressed backup chains that are easy to restore, and the full image backup feature is very useful. The initial setup was "easy as pie," and I've found it to be a really good software suite with reasonable pricing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?

I've found nothing I don't like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MSP360 Managed Backup: Simple, Cost-Effective, and Rock-Solid Reliable"
4/5
What do you like best about MSP360 Backup?

I like MSP360 Managed Backup because it strikes a great balance between simplicity, cost, and reliability. The platform is very easy to set up and manage, making day-to-day backup tasks straightforward without a lot of overhead. It’s also a cost‑effective solution, particularly for MSP environments where scaling needs to stay affordable.

Most importantly, it’s reliable — backups run consistently, and restores work when you need them. On top of that, their support is excellent; when you do need help, it’s responsive and genuinely useful. Overall, it’s a solid, no-fuss backup solution that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?

One downside to MSP360 Managed Backup is that it doesn’t offer the same level of granular control over backup settings as some other, more advanced platforms. For users who want to fine-tune every aspect of their backup jobs, policies, and retention rules, this can feel a bit limited.

That said, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The more streamlined approach reduces complexity and makes the platform much easier to manage on a day-to-day basis. In many cases, having fewer overly technical options actually helps avoid misconfiguration and keeps things running smoothly, which can be a big advantage in busy MSP environments. "MSP360 Backup: Lightweight, Easy Setup, and Swift Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about MSP360 Backup?

MSP360 Backup is a highly advanced yet simple backup solution that makes navigation and setup straightforward. I have really enjoyed using it to monitor all the backups for our clients and their support team is swift to respond. They even did a backup health check with us to ensure everything was up and running correctly and smoothly, which you don't see from a lot of software vendors, which is nice. It's also quite lightweight for what it does and does not consume a lot of resources and bandwidth. Navigating the interface is also pretty straightforward and they update it frequently to improve the UI and functionality of the web platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?

I have no bad reviews or experiences about MSP360 which says a lot about this platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Backup Solution with Customization Flexibility"
4.5/5
What do you like best about MSP360 Backup?

I like that MSP360 Backup is free to use. I think it's a very comprehensive tool and not difficult to use. I appreciate that I can back up my whole Windows system for a bare metal restore if needed, to the cloud and to Cloudflare, which is extremely cheap. It lets me back up terabytes for just a few dollars a month and set up automatic backups. The number of options is amazing, allowing me to tailor it exactly to my needs. It's pretty incredible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?

Some of the options in MSP360 Backup are a little advanced, even for someone like me who has worked in the IT space for about a decade. I had to Google search some of the options to understand what they were. The setup wasn't the easiest because of this, but it did allow me to tailor and customize the tool to my needs. "Effortless Backup with MSP360: Secure, Intuitive, Reliable"
5/5
What do you like best about MSP360 Backup?

I love the ease of setup with MSP360 Backup; The visual feedback feature really stands out for me, as it allows me to see which files are being processed and the status of each file. This feature, along with the prompts via popup windows, gives me control over how my files are managed. I'm also happy that MSP360 Backup provides a secure place to store my personal files, both locally, on my NAS, and in the cloud, ensuring file protection. Overall, I am very satisfied with MSP360 Backup, and I haven't noticed any problems. A few problems were encountered during setup, and the support team was instrumental in solving the issues. They responded within 24 hours and always had an available solution. I will stick with this product because (1) it is an extremely valuable product and (2) the support team was always there for me. Kudos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Free Backup Tool with Minimal Limits—Worth Upgrading"
5/5
What do you like best about MSP360 Backup?

It's great that you can use their free version with limitations, but even then the limitation are minimal depending on what you want to do with their backup tool. I have used the free version for over a year and now want more capabilities, so I am subscribing to their yearly plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?

Some of the wording and setup is a bit different than your standard backup software, but after an hour of setting things up, understanding how AWS Glacier works etc. it's very simple to setup and it just runs at the schedule you defined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MSP360 has been a game changer in terms of centralized management!"
5/5
What do you like best about MSP360 Backup?

Centralized management of a large number of customers' backups from a single management console. Also, their customer service and response time is absolutely excellent! Their support reps seem very knowledgeable and are easy to work with! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?

They don't offer a way to do full system image backups of Linux systems, only file level backups. Also, if you do an image backup of a Windows computer that is still a legacy system running MBR and want to restore to a newer computer that has an NVMe drive and is UEFI, it's an absolute nightmare, if not almost impossible. "Challenging Setup, Potential Ransomware Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about MSP360 Backup?

I found the initial setup of MSP360 Backup to be very easy. I just ran it, and it installed without any issues, which was fine for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?

I'm having trouble getting MSP360 Backup to work right. When I downloaded it, it couldn't load the Microsoft redistributable VSS, and I'm getting an error saying it can't find one of the DLLs. I've searched for the DLL, it's there, and I reregistered it, but it didn't help. I went to support, and they gave me a tool to run, but it didn't do anything. Some of the tools that seem like they should help are only available on a higher version, which costs $30 a year if you don't leave a review, or $15 a year if you do. I'm having trouble getting the VOSS to work because it can't find the DLL even though I registered it. I redownloaded the software and the redistributable, reinstalled, and ensured the DLL was present, but the tool provided by support just resulted in a blinking cursor. Response from John Smith of MSP360 Backup

Thanks for your detailed feedback - really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’ve been running into with the VSS component. That definitely shouldn’t be happening.

To help us investigate this properly and avoid any back-and-forth, could you please share your support case number? I’d like to review what’s already been done and make sure we get this resolved for you as quickly as possible.

"Flexible, Reliable Backups with Clean Interface and Strong Scheduling Control"
4/5
What do you like best about MSP360 Backup?

Msp360 backup is very flexible and reliable. The interface is clean and straight forward, making it easy to setup backup for multiple systems. I especially like the wide range of supported storage options and the control over backup scheduling. It gives a peace of mind because I know that my data is safe and I can easily recover it when needed. The interface is clean for setting backup for multiple servers, workstation. It supports wide range of storage options from cloud services to local drives . another main feature I personally like is the granular control over which files and folders to backup, which helps me optimize storage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?

Msp360 is very reliable tool but there are few areas that needs more improvement. The initial setup for more complex environments can feel a bit overwhelming, especially when dealing with multiple storage providers. The interface can feel a little clunky when navigating between different systems or accounts . Certain advance features like image based backups or granular restores , could be more streamlined to make them more faster and easier to manage. Notifications are usefull but the dashboard could be more dynamic or customizable to quickly highlight issues or trends across backups Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
