# How do you avoid configuration mistakes in MSP360 Backup while keeping it flexible?

MSP360 Backup feels highly flexible and easy to tailor, but the UI seems to require a more sophisticated user to get the most out of it. I’ve found it’s easy to make unintended mistakes when configuring a backup, even though reviewing the chosen settings helps fix them. On the plus side, it’s helped me set up inexpensive backups, including backing up a Synology SAN to a plugin Western Digital drive, alongside Backblaze and OneDrive backups. What checks or habits do you use to prevent misconfigurations before a backup runs?
