"Great tool to take the guesswork out of design system changes"
What do you like best about Chromatic?

Chromatic has been a game changer for our design system. It's been excellent for catching unexpected visual regressions and verifying expected ones. Our design system is constantly evolving so we need to be able to make changes quickly and Chromatic provides a safety net to do that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chromatic?

There is a bit of a learning curve to Chromatic both for end users (developers, designers) as well as configuration. It took us a while to tune our setup and for end users to adopt Chromatic into their workflow. Once developers get used to reviewing their changes in the Chromatic app, the value becomes quite clear. It just takes some time to get there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential Visual Testing Tool with Stellar Support"
What do you like best about Chromatic?

I use Chromatic for visual regression testing work at Etsy, where it's used to enable component-driven development and reinforce best practices. It helps with discoverability of components and also with visual diffing to keep track of how our components and design language change over time. We can identify redundancy easily and it's a great tool that works well with Storybook and provides us with tangible value. I like that it has good documentation and most of all a great team behind the product that offers excellent support! The initial setup was pretty easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chromatic?

Usage adds up quickly. It would be nice to have runs scoped more closely to the components that actually change in order to lower snapshot usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Chromatic Makes Visual Regression Testing Seamless in Our CI/CD and PR Workflow"
What do you like best about Chromatic?

What I like best about Chromatic is how easily it integrates into our CI/CD and PR workflow. It provides reliable visual regression testing and makes reviewing UI changes simple and collaborative. The incremental builds also help keep feedback fast, even in large projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chromatic?

What I dislike about Chromatic is that unexpected changes in the CLI or GitHub Action (especially when using @latest) can sometimes break builds without warning. Also, when visual diffs are triggered by non-UI changes (like dependency or config updates), it can create noise and slow down reviews. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly with Room for Feature Improvements"
What do you like best about Chromatic?

I like that Chromatic is really easy to use and the pricing is simple. It's also fairly generous in the number of screenshots provided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chromatic?

I'm not quite sure how to use the turbo feature, like the turbo snapshot. Basically, if the code doesn't change much, it doesn't run all the screenshots or snapshots. I'm also unsure about the accessibility features; it seems like it uses a second snapshot of my budget, and it eats through it quickly. So I turned it off, and I don't find much use in it. "Chromatic, a pretty awesome tool for UI developers"
What do you like best about Chromatic?

The sync with CI/CD pipelines is pretty awesome, the comparison helps a lot! when you're doing reviews to changes on the UI, the usage of Storybook makes it easier to work with and finally the UI it's pretty friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chromatic?

The platform itself has some serious issues that are pretty annoying, the thumbnails are too small that sometimes they're pretty useless and sometimes it get disconnected from our platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
