The software is very user-friendly and truly helps save time, but what really stands out is the staff. The customer support provided by CheckWriters is exceptional. Although their local presence is convenient, it is not the primary reason for their outstanding support.

The CheckWriters support team, along with our dedicated account manager, has been incredibly attentive to our needs. Despite being a smaller organization, we are treated as if we are their most important clients.

The platform’s features are exceptionally well-designed, catering to our needs and offering much more than we require. One of the standout aspects of their customer service is the extensive library of instructional videos available for practically every feature.

We went from having 1 contact./account manager and now it is a generic customer support line/email when you have a question. The password reset feature does not work well for most employees. We have been with the major payroll processing company for years and have had so many issues getting that big product to work for our school's payroll. Checkwriters has allowed us to pare away 3 other timekeeping softwares and hours of manual entry into one seamless process. Our onboarding process has also gone from manual paperwork to an easy online step-by-step process. Each payroll we would have an extensive journal entry with recategorizing employee allocations - Checkwriters has completely taken that step out and it is all done for us. So far my only area for improvement is the knowledge base. Most items we've needed help with were not covered in the knowledge base, but this is where customer service has been great. Our company was with another well-known, yet antiquated payroll provider for many years and had seen lack of service in numerous areas with them. The decision to switch was not an easy one due to the work involved with transitioning. Our HR team spent several hours talking to sales reps and watching demos to explore the available options, updated technology, and additional features available to us. Among all the demos, CheckWriters stood out to us for many reasons.

Our HR team met Account Executive, Chris Landy at the 2023 SHRM Conference. Six months after implementation, he continues to follow up with us to ensure that CheckWriters is fulfilling all our needs. They have a dedicated team for implementation and training. Kudos to Tracy Fleming and Kayla Goller for being instrumental in our success with this new platform. The service this team provides to their clients is leagues ahead of the giants in the industry.

CheckWriters has several HR modules that we did not have before- allowing us to automate processes and save time. The Payroll Module is easy to learn and navigate and makes running payroll a breeze! The Recruit Module draws in numerous candidates because it pushes out to 100 job boards with a click of a button. The templates makes the screening and hiring process super-efficient and saves us extensive time.

Changing providers is a long journey and certainly requires dedication and time. But, moving to CheckWriters was worth the time invested and leg work involved. They work in conjunction with you from day one to ensure success and they are always just an email or a phone call away. We are beyond happy with our decision to transfer to CheckWriters and we recommend it to any business looking for change, automation, better service, and cost savings! There are some options that we do not use right now, but will explore the options in the future. Really, there is not much that we dislike about CheckWriters. The reporting is a lot different that we are used to and it has taken some time for us to learn how to create the report templates. But change always comes with challenges and opportunity to learn! I think it would be great if Checkwriters had the option for users to recommend processes that they've used in the past in order to have Checkwriters consider adding it. Many of the users of Checkwrtiers have used other software platforms and each one of the platforms has pros and cons. Checkwriters is a great service and working with James is great. He is always very professional and efficient. James is always friendly....if he's having a bad day, I would never know it as he is always upbeat. And when James is not available to call our payroll in to, the other staff members have been very helpful as well.
