We don't have control on ootb checklist for locking the resposes as they can be edited at any time in the process, while the CheckList Pro enables the admins to curate a checklist which cannot be modified or changed by end users. It is easy to create and implement in number of scenarios. It also gets integrated inside the ServiceNow modules easily and gets saved automatically. It's compatible with all tables incuding scoped applications. Levels are also availaible in this, so we can easily create rules which users are liable to complete given steps of checklist. The customization of the checklists is pretty great and nifty. Its very easy to create a list that custom to a project and share with others on the same project.

To better manage access to Oracle Financials, we used Checklist Pro to create roughly 130 "responsibilities" allowing our reviewers and approvers to quickly assess any conflicts of interests. The ability to itemize workflow task instructions into checklists allows us to track which intra-tasks items are being done, who is doing them and when they are done, even while the task itself is still open. This allows for much greater transparency and measuring of progress for tasks that would otherwise appear to be inactive (NOTE – work notes are nice, but that data is unstructured and not reportable). Previously, Data Center assessments were conducted in an external system with PDF results being imported into ServiceNow as attachments. A modernization effort replaced that external system with a custom ServiceNow App leveraging Checklist Pro.
