Certain support is excellent, typically responds and resolves issues within 24 hours. Simple fixes like email formatting, specific settings that may affect registration, etc. They work until a resolution is found, no matter how difficult it may be and are able to do so over email communication. Once you figure your way around the software, it is fairly intuitive and offers many options to customize your registration setup. Email communication is easy to send out, importing registrants is quite easy, and managing capacities is a big leverage point. The developers with Certain have gone above and beyond to provide us customized support in order for us to utilize their system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Certain? It is not necessarily user-friendly for those not experienced in coding or web design. Simple formatting can be a little complicated and often requires additional support, though support is quick and helpful. The expectation is the client working within the software should be an expert for their company, though as a new employee who jumped in with no training, it was a bit difficult to manage. What problems is Certain solving and how is that benefiting you? Our institution recently integrated our internal payment system which bypasses the payment option provided via Certain, which includes services like PayPal. We had a short turnaround to implement this fairly complicated procedure but Certain was very supportive and worked quickly to find solutions to make it work. Though we have had a few hiccups along the way and haven't found resolutions for the few errors, I believe they take these matters seriously. You can customize all parts of the event experience like the registration page, confirmation email and signing up for sessions. I like that Certain offers self-scheduling and email communication for our events, which is handy for advising appointments. The API is useful for generating communications to students and integrating with our advising system during events. The advising functions on the website, the email templates for students, and the ability to plan event upload agendas for each schedule add to its utility. We use Certain to record student check-in codes for attendance, and that does not necessarily work well for all students. We would need some way to make that requirement within the schedule. Certain is a solid option for users that having CSS knowledge. You are able to customize your website with limited restrictions. Certain also has great flexibility in reg form layout. Certain's UI for the builder needs updating. Built-in drag and drop modules and a more intuitive, user friendly design space would be very helpful. The builder needs some level of coding knowledge in order to produce a nice website. Certain's pricing is per transaction / registered attendee. Paying per user login is preferred. I like the functionality it provides. I don't use it very regularly or all the functions of which it is capable. Being able to copy events makes it much easier to create what I need. It requires significant effort to create new events when not copying from a template or previous event. Adding new questions to the form is incredibly difficult and requires multiple steps in different places. Each time requires multiple iterations of trial and error to ensure I am getting what I want. I like Certain for finalizing our classes and programs because it centralizes all the needed information, making it accessible for everyone on the team to understand the details of each event. I find it helpful for gathering registration data. Once I learned it, Certain became a good and helpful tool. I appreciate that I can copy and paste info from previous Certain forms, which saves me from having to recreate dialogue for similar events.
