We were using all available modules but it did not perform as expected. The close module is very inflexible and requires a lot of administrative work to make changes. As an example, once the period has been opened we are unable to make changes to the tasks. The most we are able to do is delegate a task or have a system admin submit the task on their behalf whenever there is turnover or leave of absences once the period is opened. What do you like best about Cadency by Trintech?

Because it is a SAAS model, the business users have the ability to create their own templates and drive their own data changes. This helps to eliminate the 'bottleneck' that sometimes stems from lack of resources in the Information Systems group. This software gave us the ability to implement by each module making it easier for the business members to adopt. We also implemented globally and we are meeting our goals for reconciliations and certification. It also came with a standard connector to our ERP and has the ability to connect to our affiliates ERP solutions as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cadency by Trintech?

Their maintenance windows are larger than we expected so sometimes we have to adjust our batch jobs at month end to accommodate the outage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cadency by Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is Standardizing our account reconciliations using data directly from our ERP. We are using the match module to assist with cash applications and processing of electronic bank statements to then create journal entries to push back to our ERP system. This has helped automate the clearing processes for transactional data. The dashboards are great to identify potential issues. They are also now offering the ability to enter 'ideas' and they implement when there are enough that agree with that 'idea'. They also publish their release information for upgrades making it easier to decide what level to move to as well as understand what the testing scope would be. The Certification Module (account reconciliations) works really well and provides plenty of configurabiliy for just about any large business. The other modules {Journals, Match, Close, Compliance} seemlessly work together to achieve a great outcome for enterprises to manage the entire Close process. Trintech is doing a lot more to communicate webinars and other training/learning opporutnities out to the user group, so End-Users can sign-up on their own and learn about various features within the application. What do you dislike about Cadency by Trintech?

Communicating long-range vision and how Trintech will incorporate industry leading technology into the platform could be improved upon. Generative AI capabilities are coming, and it would be good to understand those potential applications within Cadency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cadency by Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?

We went from an all-manual Close process to Cadency. That brought an enormous number of benefits right out of the gate. No longer were managers sending out emails to request account reconciliation work-product from Accountants and Analysts. They were all housed and stored in Cadency. Cadency also provided a way for the business to effectively monitor the Reconciliation and Close process through dynamic reporting. The various forms of automation within Cadency gives us flexibility to manage highly repeatable tasks with rules-based, schedulable jobs, allowing our teams to focus on more value-add activities.
