What is Upserve, and what problem is it built to solve?

Upserve is a restaurant management platform built to help restaurateurs streamline operations, improve customer experiences, and manage business performance. It brings together restaurant tools such as point of sale, analytics, inventory management, and employee scheduling.

What company sizes and industries is Upserve the best fit for?

Upserve is best represented among small businesses, particularly restaurant and hospitality operators. The reviewer-reported fit clusters around these segments:
  • Company size: Small businesses.
  • Industry: Restaurants, food and beverage, and hospitality.

How long does it take to implement Upserve across a team?

Implementation is most commonly reported as taking less than a month, with some teams getting live in under a day and others taking longer. The reported timing clusters are:
Time to go live Relative frequency
Less than 1 month Most common
Less than 1 day Also reported
1–3 months Less common

What customer support options does Upserve provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

The support experience is uneven. Users describe helpful, responsive support, but others report trouble reaching the team, slow follow-up, or less satisfactory help after launch.

What is the experience like for teams switching to Upserve from another tool?

Switching to Upserve has meant moving from older, hardware-based or less restaurant-focused systems toward a cloud-based POS with more accessible reporting and simpler day-to-day use. Prior systems mentioned include legacy restaurant platforms such as Aloha and Micros, as well as other POS tools like Square, Lavu, Clover, and SpotOn. Users value the easier menu updates, staff training, and access to business data, though the transition has not always been smooth and reliability or support issues can complicate the change.

What features or capabilities could make Upserve even more useful?

The most useful improvements would make common restaurant workflows more flexible and reduce friction in setup and daily operations. Recurring requests include:
  • Make it easier to split individual items across checks and manage open tabs, seats, and table workflows.
  • Simplify menu setup and support more flexible scheduling for specials and price changes.
  • Expand reporting options, including more customizable reports and easier access to transaction details.
  • Improve offline reliability and connectivity so service is less disrupted when networks or systems have problems.
  • Add or strengthen integrations for areas such as accounting, payroll, and online ordering.

"Performing intelligent data transfers you achieve sales success through upserver."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Upserve?

I like upserver because its artificial intelligence potential can repair order guidance sectors, value extensions of internal control of assisted programming orders, systematization of sales code reading, intuitive backups of local analysis methodologies, processing of negotiation percentages in the cloud, independent management of a collaborative interface, Robust browsing opportunities performance training, pre-determined coupon applications, electronic payment ticket references, online order authentication, automatic menu exchanges, email-driven fault reports, frequent purchase card credit assignments, are recognized as part of the best tools demonstrated by this network server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Upserve?

The upserver software at my company has been deconfigured due to a business support error, where not all meal delivery orders are made in real time, as some tend to be delayed due to a failure of organizational order dimensions, and decreases in operational relevance through the restaurant's online digital sales portal are beginning to emerge, making customers tend to prefer to link their orders to a direct server in relation to the main panel of the nearest branch, which represents an uncoordinated follow-up of purchases via the Internet, so a professional financing presentation molding activation should be incorporated to grant orders easily and quickly.
