# Which product analytics platforms work best for a fintech or healthtech company that needs behavioral tracking but also has strict data governance requirements?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Hi G2! For regulated product teams, I’m examining which product analytics platforms work best for a fintech or healthtech company that needs behavioral tracking but also has strict data governance requirements. The shortlist has to balance usable analysis with HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, data residency, and deletion needs.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">In the<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/product-analytics"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/product-analytics">product analytics software</a> category, I’d start with:</p><ul>

<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/amplitude-analytics/reviews"><strong>Amplitude Analytics</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Deep funnel analysis with privacy controls, deletion APIs, and SOC 2 Type II support.</li>

<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/mixpanel/reviews"><strong>Mixpanel</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Relevant for fintech flows like onboarding, KYC, and loan applications.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/posthog/reviews"><strong>PostHog</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Useful when self-hosting or data control matters.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/glassbox/reviews"><strong>Glassbox</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Built for regulated behavioral analytics and replay.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/quantum-metric/reviews"><strong>Quantum Metric</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Fits larger enterprises with security-heavy requirements.</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">The tension I’m trying to unpack is where teams draw the line between analytics flexibility and governance comfort.</p>

In regulated shops the analytics question is secondary to the data-residency and PII question, and that&#39;s the one that quietly disqualifies half the field. Self-hosting, whether you can avoid sending raw PII to a vendor, BAAs for health data, EU residency, that&#39;s your real shortlist filter. I&#39;d honestly start the eval with legal and security in the room, not product. Is your boundary HIPAA, GDPR, or both? Because that decides everything before you ever look at a funnel.
