  ### 11. An average project management solution for our needs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhinash B. | Operations Manager, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

We were in a rapid search for a platform to display all of our projects, assignments and schedules, at the time of which Basecamp has helped us in organizing these requirements for our work at our fingertips. Its storage facility has helped us in storing and collaborate with each other on documents, files, etc. All of its features like the schedule display were really easy to implement and keep us up to date with out progress.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The integration of the platform with other useful and reliable platforms is too limited which has decreased its functionality up to a certain limit. The chatbox or messaging board freezes at times and thus results in acting as hectic while sending these messages to our respective receiver. The customer support when contacted for these glitches was least worried about this.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our project management has been a lot more effective since the day we started using Basecamp, its features like storage space in Basecamp have helped us to create, share, and discuss docs, files, and images easily and efficiently. Using Basecamp we got quick responses on a regular basis by automatically polling our team daily, weekly, or on a regular basis. What we liked the most about its features is Basecamp helped us get instant access to our schedule, assignments, drafts, bookmarks, activity, etc and also could track every single change that was taking place in the project.

From time to time it is a little bit too transparent

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to manage product development and knowledge transfer accross the organization.

  ### 13. With Basecamp I can oversee any project

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vibin K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I've been using Basecamp to handle many projects and I have to admit, the connection with different APIs really stands out for me. Basecamp's simplification of project management is great, especially for difficult jobs that include many team players. I really like the feature for keeping time. It has saved me a lot by helping to note how many hours I spend on different parts of a project, which then lets me give correct estimates of costs. This is very important because in the world of cloud computing, every hour matters and software costs can rise fast.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

But, I think Basecamp should improve its functions for dealing with many projects at once. Not having GANNT charts makes it hard to see project schedules and assign tasks properly. When working on many projects, this becomes very important. At times, the interface can seem busy, particularly when you're dealing with various tasks.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp has mainly fixed the problem of project pieces being scattered for me. By having all my stuff in one spot, I can watch over every project I'm handling without missing small bits of information.

  ### 14. Basecamp, excellent user management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Animation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The fact that you can "ping" your sector colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

In general, nothing, but when a new user is created, it can no longer be modified from the panel; it has to be deleted and started again.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think the admin panel should be modified to make it much more intuitive.

  ### 15. My preferred Project Management tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Divyesh V. | Assistant Manager Operations (Customer Success), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

It is so simple to use. We can even share files and Gsheet. We use it daily. It's implementation was easy.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I would consider the Activity logs, it is not at all their. It is difficult to track if anyone changed my description and manipulated it.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has subsequently increased internal coordination and tracking of tasks is easier. I recommend it for all Small and Medium scale businesses.

  ### 16. Teamwork made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip T. | Area Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The ability to create your workgroups for the variety of teams I am on is a great feature. I love that you can communicate with team members efficiently and reliably. The activity log quickly lets you see at a glance the interactions and work that has been assigned, worked on, and completed. So helpful when it comes to working and communicating with your team efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There isn't much that I don't like, but if I could make the "To Do" feature more functional in updating tasks on a percentage base or even have checkpoints within one job. That would be a nice added feature.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

I would highly recommend others who are considering streamlining their work to work more efficiently. If you have a team of individuals who consistently work on a variety of projects, but collaboration is needed, then this is an excellent platform for your experience.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Basecamp as our primary work and connection point for a variety of tasks and jobs. Basecamp helps coordinate and align all of our teammates so that they are all on the same page. The benefits we've seen is having one place for communication, one place for tasks to be deleated, one place where documents and edits are able to be made, together.

  ### 17. Excellent tools for collaboration and project management.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fannie W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I like how versatile the program is; I can simply move between tasks and track my progress. I presently use Basecamp to organize my monthly chores and mark off items when they are accomplished. A live spreadsheet that numerous users can update in real time is extremely handy. What I appreciate best about Basecamp is its utility in project management; it is simple for team leaders and project managers to manage, monitor, and use, saving time and energy in everything from teamwork to individual project duties.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There's a chance (docking option), and it'd be wonderful to set certain items I'm working on away (but not out of sight) while I look at other sites. Subtasks, time tracking, and worldwide visibility of several projects are among the key capabilities that are missing; further integrations are necessary to match traditional project management standards.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It addresses several organizational challenges and streamlines different activities. I also enjoy interacting with colleagues on projects and providing input. It enables me to follow the project's progress on a daily basis and put it into numerous subcategories, which aids in arranging the project into several stages. Basecamp is an excellent tool for tracking activities and communicating with team members; it is simple to use and aids in the development of solid working relationships.

  ### 18. The easiest to use project management tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phoebe A. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

We started using Basecamp to manage our projects 4 years ago and since then, the product has grown deep roots within our organization. It is a simple to use and easily accessible shared workspace platform that allows us to unite during projects which allows better collaboration. It helps us to keep all project information including files well organized and very safe. It allows us to assign tasks to individuals which helps us have a clarity on who is responsible for what. Basecamp also help us stay on deadlines by setting due dates to keep us reminded of the project timelines. It is an easy and very effective platform for communicating and discussing during projects through chatting and this help ensure everyone is able to get the necessary information at all times. We also use Basecamp to organize our work with To-dos amd this makes it easy to track the progress of the entire project by looking on what has been done and what is still to be done.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The customer support services through the contact us has been so responsive and this makes it easy for us to handle any setbacks quickly. All the features available are easy to use. I have really see n the better side of Basecamp and am yet to experience any dislikes from it.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp is generally used as a project management tool in our organization and it helps us to ensure projects are being run smoothly. It helps us to have a clear picture view of the entire project cycle from the start date to the end date. With Basecamp, it became easy for us to work collaboratively on projects as it makes it easy for us to communicate, share files , discuss and share ideas during projects via instant chatting. Basecamp has helped us streamline our work during projects. It has helped us ensure we finish our projects within the available timelines to avoid the inconveniences of deadlines like extra budget and failing to meet customers agreements.

  ### 19. Improves efficiency and communication in project management.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David R. | Senior Principal Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

It is beneficial to be aware of the projects at all times since it allows them to follow up, view pending tasks, whether they are calendars, due dates, or share data and documents. It may also be used by any business that wants to manage a workgroup, and it includes a very well constructed mobile app that is simple to use and set up. The API is extremely valuable since it greatly facilitates expansion and integration with internal and external systems that increase Basecamp's capabilities, such as seeing the progress of assigned tasks without accessing Basecamp. It is straightforward to manage task deadlines; in general, scheduling a job is extremely simple; simply do it and the delivery date; you can also attach assets such as videos and photographs to the work if additional information is necessary.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The messaging board, which consumers use to communicate, has some issues since it freezes and does not enable them to send messages swiftly, wasting time and inconveniencing them by not allowing them to submit their messages properly. I wish I could create Gantt charts; Basecamp needs to listen more to its clients; I feel like they give us very little or no attention when we request that they implement project management tools.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it in our company to manage projects since it allows us to monitor, evaluate, and manage each project carried out, which allows us to know each progress created and keeps us up to date on every piece of information, concept, and design. This platform was picked because of how simple it was to register an account and begin generating projects and assigning tasks; this greatly improved productivity because the learning curve was relatively low. Furthermore, a venue was required where firm personnel could discuss the project in which they were participating without losing the thread of the conversation, and Basecamp was the greatest option for integrating both objectives.

  ### 20. Basecamp is not ideal for managing projects, but works for individual tasks.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

There is not too much that I like about Basecamp. It has a decent interace, I guess!

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It's easy to miss tasks through basecamp. Notifications don't always come through. There aren't many features for project management.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Basecamp to see and post individual tasks. It's easy for simple tasks and one-off projects.

  ### 21. It's changed everything about how our all-remote team operates!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie T. | Senior Managing Editor, Publishing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Since we are all remote, Basecamp has really changed how we operate. Before, we were depending on one person in leadership to know what was going on with every project at all time, which was exhausting for her and limiting for the rest of the team. Now that we can create projects in Basecamp AND store all of our files there, just about anyone can pop in and see where we're at in a project at anytime. We also save so much time in not having to communicate constantly about priorities, schedules, locations of documents, etc.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There are a few small things I would love to see change in Basecamp. The main one would be that I would love to be able to have "done" on one task trigger a follow-up task. For example, I could click "done" on a proofing task and that would trigger the "make corrections" task to enable with a deadline of two business days later. That would make a huge difference for me as the project manager to know that those tasks are cascading on their own.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a major communication boost for us. To have the whole team in there and to have all of our current projects hanging out makes a huge difference. It really empowers the members of our growing team to feel like they are "in the know" for where we are headed with our products.

  ### 22. An MVP of task assignment and resource planning and allocation.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Elegant and more convenient for task management.
Intuitive user interface.
Great for team collaboration.
Effectivenesss with instant messaging
Reliable with project management

  ### 23. Basecamp centralizes communication and project management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel G. | Facilities Engineer / Operations, Telecommunications, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

It has been easy to use and has improved the efficiency of collaboration and communication within the work team. The clear layout of tasks, lists and messages has facilitated the organization of complex projects.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

can become expensive if many users are added or if additional features are needed.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp gives me an overview of my projects, facilitates collaboration and communication between team members, which in turn can improve productivity and efficiency in the execution of tasks.

  ### 24. Practical screen-capturing software.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

As an accountant’s point of view, I can confidently say that Basecamp is reliable for team collaborations. The cheap monthly price of this application is my favorite part because my business cannot afford expensive software like this. It also works well for bigger teams or has a free version. I love the intuitive interface through which I create guest accounts (quite important when collaborating with external partners). It is a really well integrated collaboration app.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Nonetheless, there are certain things I do not like about Basecamp. Although it performs tasks effectively, it can be inadequate for complex projects. Though, the dashboard design of software is functional but a little bit does not fit with the more modern interface.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We benefit from increased productivity when using Basecamp, the answer to streamlined team communication and task tracking. It is critical for efficient financial management as we save time by consolidating multiple project resources into one point.

  ### 25. Best tool for project management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Keeping all stakeholders informed about project progress and next steps.

  ### 26. Basecamp...wanting more

  ### 27. Optimizing Task Management and Working Smoothly with Basecamp

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Veronica V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Having used Basecamp for some time now, I have developed a taste for its intuitive interface. I have never found it easy for me and my team to set projects and assign priorities. It makes employees navigate their respective duties far much easier. Since we implemented this tool, the organization of project management has greatly improved in general. We choose it mainly because of its capacity to accelerate tasks and projects facilitates.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Occasionally, there is a bottleneck between me and the group I am working with because relay of comments on a project thread can be slow. Additionally, it is easy to miss individual to-do notifications among the many other notifications on my screen.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What has happened, is that Basecamp has pretty much done away with the clutter that used to crowd our project management. With everything being centralized and organized it become easier to manage each of the ongoing projects. This, in turn has translated into higher work output efficiency and less stress for all.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megi D. | Marketing Campaigns Coordinator, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp was very easy to use and very quick to load. However, the number of features to use is not so great. We used it very frequently since it was our number 1 platform for internal communications but it lead to different departments seeking alternative PMTs to add to Basecamp to make up for the features we were missing.

All-in-all, it's an OK tool to use if you're just getting started with your company and you need someplace to add to-do lists. But if you want to scale your business, you need a more advanced tool to manage projects.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

No integrations of any kind, no features, no dependencies, and no different ways to view a project... Implementing new features took a long time. It created a lot of manual labor.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is good for documentation of notes from meetings and brainstorming sessions. Good for creating lists of to-do's for different projects.

Basecamp simplifies assigning tasks and managing projects. It's by far the simplest project management tool I've used and that makes it easy to teach it to new employees/users so they can start using it right away.

  ### 32. Management software that streamlines communication, collaboration, and project tracking processes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lena H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

One of the biggest pros of Basecamp is its user-friendly interface. The software is easy to navigate, even for those who are not tech-savvy. Basecamp also allows for seamless collaboration among team members, enabling them to work together regardless of their location. The software also offers a robust reporting feature that provides managers with an overview of project progress.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Despite its many benefits, Basecamp has a few drawbacks. One of the biggest disadvantages is the lack of customization options. The software is not as customizable as some of its competitors, which can be a limitation for larger organizations. Additionally, the pricing structure can be a bit steep for small businesses or startups.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp provides a range of benefits to project managers, including improved team collaboration, streamlined communication, and increased productivity. The software also allows for better project tracking, reducing the risk of missed deadlines or delayed projects. With Basecamp, project managers can also assign tasks, share files, and manage their team's workload from a centralized location, reducing the need for multiple tools.

  ### 33. A simple basic project management tool

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yasith P. | CEO/Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

It's simple and intuitive compared to other project management tools that I've used like Jira and Linear. Anyone without much experience in project management should be able to handle BaseCamp.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It is hard to manage proper agile development because it lacks main features to be able to support such. The UIs look a bit old-school as well.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had the chance to use Basecamp for one of our client projects as they were already using BaseCamp. We used it to manage the tasks, report status and clarify any requirements.

  ### 34. Basecamp – Project Management – As good as done!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad Z. | Principal Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The best thing about basecamp is that it can be accessed anywhere, anytime and on any device be it mobile, laptop or PC with its plug-in. There are surely some gaps in the platform but the good part is they can be filled with its integrations and mind me if I tell you there are lots of amazing integrations which makes work a zero hassle.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is amongst one of those platforms that offers built-in communication systems so that we stay connected with each other without leaving the platform and we do as well, but the management system of chat is not that great and it lacks some advanced features. The customization feature lacks and needs a quick upgrade for even better usage and performance overall. The ease of customization is not even a luxury, it is a necessity! I hope it will be sorted out soon!

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are some really helpful features that basecamp offers us; for example, client-oriented projects planning and designing, access on all platforms or from any location, its built-in communication feature, file sharing and storing with just drag-and-drop feature. And with everything else, their customer support team deserves the appreciation.

What I like most about Basecamp is its highly efficient project management capabilities. Transitioning from extremely previous solutions was smooth, thanks to the software's user-friendliness and low acquisition bender. The platform's applicability across quite various project scopes has been a game-changer for us. From managing client communications to assigning tasks, it’s been a comprehensive tool that very full integrates with our needs.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

What I do not like is the recent update which has made some services no longer usable in the very loose project. It seems the really general public gets less favor in comparing to students and teachers, which questions the value for businesses similar ours.

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is a simple-to-utilize tool that streamlines the venture board cycle, I use Basecamp consistently to perform tasks. It saved us a great deal of time while sending messages between our organization and our clients. Another enormous benefit is that your organization's appointments and warnings are incorporated, so you can constantly utilize them without looking through them on your PC. An extremely quick expectation to learn and adapt that is not difficult to use for new clients advances great correspondence.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is costly programming to buy. they ought to add a few additional highlights to their product. Their client care administrations are additionally not sufficient. The site might be slack or be in the middle of work. There is an irregular blunder in the records because of which the work ought to be erased.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Embedding a daily agenda into Basecamp was simple, the connection point is perfect and straightforward, so I figured it would be not difficult to realize while arranging a task. With Basecamp, I had the option to discuss and design with my group. The administration of the whole venture has been enormously improved and by taking care of engineers inside the undertaking, it fills in as the main dependable wellspring of record stockpiling and correspondence (between colleagues or inside with clients). Through inward tasks, it goes about as a storehouse for corporate cycles and intranets, and the sky is the limit from there. In the first place, examine the cost before procuring Basecamp. It may not suit you, but rather if what you want is a place where you can speak with the work group while dealing with a task without the need to have specialists before the screen who are familiar with the product of undertaking the board since this stage is a decent arrangement.

Additionally, Basecamp provides a number of file organisation and sharing capabilities, which greatly facilitates teamwork.

The inability to add subtasks to the primary task is one of Basecamp's shortcomings in my opinion. When planning more complicated jobs, this can be a little difficult. The platform can occasionally be a little slow when loading a lot of files, but overall there wasn't much of an issue.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team has found Basecamp to be a really effective tool for problem-solving.
