"Accurate Tax Calculations, But Needs Better Support"

What do you like best about Avalara?

I like Avalara because it is user friendly and helps me in areas I am not abreast with. The icons are easy to understand, which makes it very efficient, and it was more accurate in calculating my return and taxes owed compared to TurboTax. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Avalara?

Customer support isn’t always time friendly when I need answers, and their advice could be a little more specific. Also, the experience setting up Avalara was very underwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use UI with Clear Tax Breakdowns for Sage Intacct Invoices"

What do you like best about Avalara?

Ease of use in the menu user interface. Easy to navigate settings, custom rules, nexus. Easy to understand tax breakdowns on invoices synced from our ERP - Sage Intacct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Avalara?

"Accountant in Manufacturing filing returns in 48 states and Canada"

What do you like best about Avalara?

I love the reports I can get out of Avalara and the ease of being able to edit my transactions. Avalara calculates sales tax using updated tax rates so I don't have to worry about not collecting or filing the correct amounts. The new Exemption Certificate Management tool lets me keep PDFs all of my certificates which makes it easier in an audit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Avalara?

I only wish a customer service rep checked in with me more often and not just time to renew my contract. There are other features I am not utilizing that I have questions about and don't know who to contact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A great choice for rate compliance"

What do you like best about Avalara?

Avalara takes the stress out of compliance and is a reasonably priced options for small companies. So far I like the Ai dashboard options that were recently added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Avalara?

The calculations shown in the reports don’t always match the calculations on the returns. This is especially true for Texas, where the tax amount for the state-rate portion is almost always incorrect or doesn’t line up with what the return shows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Avalara solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tax rate compliance and filing SST returns have been the number-one problem solver for us. Instead of spending hours on research and constantly updating everything manually, Avalara keeps the tax rates up to date as changes happen.
