Creating form is an easy workflow to learn and it is a great way to gather information from a large workforce or small. **What do you dislike about ArcGIS Survey123?** If you make a change to the form after is has been published it is hard to get the new changes without deleting any previously gathered data. **Recommendations to others considering ArcGIS Survey123:** If you are looking for an intuitive way to gather data from 1 to many individuals, Survey123 is an economical answer. The surveys are easy to create and test and to publish. Users can gather data using their smart phones or tablets or enter the data on a pc. The forms can be customized to your liking with background colors or pictures and text that matches your organization and liking. **What problems is ArcGIS Survey123 solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have created several surveys used for collecting data from potholes to trees to citizen reporting of problems within the city. It is hard to get people to use something new, but slowly as they see the power and ease of gathering information, more people will use it more. ### 6. Those with experience using other XForm and XLSForm (ODK, Ona, etc) will have little problems adjusting to the Esri implementation found in Survey123. **What do you dislike about ArcGIS Survey123?** By default, published forms are backed by hosted feature layers (in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise) which limit your ability to manage data (my opinion). This has lead me to experience a number of issues with reliability and I have since migrated my data source to my own ArcGIS Server Feature Services. **Recommendations to others considering ArcGIS Survey123:** Test, test, test, test first so you can work out the kinks BEFORE you send folk out the door. Though this (and many other) products from Esri are marketed as "Easy to deploy" you always get out what you put in... So do your homework, test your surveys and monitor your system throughout the data collection process. You will run into hiccups, make them little hiccups by having a good game plan **What problems is ArcGIS Survey123 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Field data collection, first and foremost. We can also conduct the survey by downloading the Survey123 mobile app from ArcGIS. It gives us the option to download the survey on the device, which will allow us to conduct the questionnaires offline and send the results when we reconnect. To use it, we must have an ArcGIS organization account. **What do you dislike about ArcGIS Survey123?** From Survey123 for ArcGIS, I have sometimes encountered problems with the synchronization of some surveys. However, when I have reported the issue, the technical support team helps me effectively. **Recommendations to others considering ArcGIS Survey123:** I highly recommend it as it provides field workers with the option to collect information from their mobile devices in any work environment. If working offline, the completed forms will be saved locally. When a connection is available, the data can be sent to ArcGIS. **What problems is ArcGIS Survey123 solving and how is that benefiting you?** With the ArcGIS Online organization account, you will be able to download the forms that have been shared. Once a form is downloaded, data collection can begin. If working offline, completed forms will be saved locally. When a connection is available, the data can be sent to ArcGIS. Survey results can be viewed and shared online at the site Survey123.esri.com, and it is also possible to view the information geographically through the map viewer. They can also be downloaded in various formats such as CSV, SHP, GOB, GEOJSON, among others. ### 8. I think the new report template functionality it awesome, however it lacks some requirements for my organization at this time, and I'm not sure if this will be addressed in the next release - see below. **What do you dislike about ArcGIS Survey123?** It would be nice if you could export multiple survey records to one report template. For example, we are using Survey123 for conservation restriction monitoring and end up with multiple survey records per property. We would like to be able to select all records related to one property and export them to one reporting template, instead of having to export them to separate reports, and then us MS Word to bring them all together. This is tedious, and may steer us away from Survey123 in the future if we can't do this. **What problems is ArcGIS Survey123 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Streamlining of field workflows; in a year we've gone from notepads and handheld GPS units to an iPad and small bluetooth GPS. We have implemented a very complex survey intended for survey takers that have novice skills. Volunteers are able to see additional help advice and capture pictures to validiadat esurvey results **What do you dislike about ArcGIS Survey123?** The tool needs to have better integration capabilites with GPS and bluetooth devices in order to capture location at a better scale than the tablet of phone can offer. **Recommendations to others considering ArcGIS Survey123:** Ease of use and comparision to collector **What problems is ArcGIS Survey123 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Capturing Accessible recreation feature information with hard measurements.
