I love the Navigation feature that allows me to search for any topic/screen/report easily Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Customizations: 1. I can't expand or minimize details or summary on purchasing queue. 2. We no longer have column chooser on queue or other pages to condense or hide information given if unnecessary. 3. Most every time I log into AppCentral, I get an Authentication Error. 4. When completing information in a field, if you type exactly what is correct but do not choose the drop down, the information shows as invalid. We also have a long pause for that dropdown to even pop up, which is frustrating when we can just type in the correct option without even using the dropdown. 5.Lack of background color styles to choose from. I love how the system offers so many connections between modules. It makes it easy to jump from a Sales order to a job order, or to a PO created against one of those documents, with just a single click. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The main part of our business is repairs, so we have to use the system a bit differently than what’s recommended for manufacturing. Because of that, we run into issues getting full use out of M2M’s functionality and reporting.

Another challenge for us is that the CRM isn’t very user-friendly, so our sales team doesn’t use that module. If it were an app they could download on their phones, we might get more adoption, but we’ve also had a lot of issues with the widget filters and with automatic system updates and data sharing from M2M to the CRM. Every time I regenerate then display the queue I am not able to regenerate again later that day unless I log out. It will say that the program is already displayed and will not update. It is difficult to save work when typing in any field that has a drop down because if it is not selected it will not save. It is also difficult to see all line items in a purchase order because you can not expand the screen and the scroll bar is very small. When selecting a new tab, you can no longer see your dashboard. I enjoy the functionality of Aptean Discrete Manufacturing ERP especially its basic operations and current on-prem offerings that help develop custom solutions. It helps streamline custom processes and expedites certain processes when third-party solutions need to be implemented. I find it valuable in helping remove the headroom of developing a full work process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think the biggest issue is with the web API. Currently, in version 7.51 service pack 22 hot fix 4, some of the web API implementations don't work or have very limited documentation. Also, I'm not a big fan of relying solely on SQL for data updates or syncs, as it can lead to hiccups and discrepancies in our data sets that I have to fix manually. I'd also like to see an open source version offered. While the cloud version is favored, some users need the on-prem version to maintain data and custom solutions. An open source option for a fee would greatly help those in transition from on-prem to cloud or for continuing on-prem solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The navigation search function makes things much easier. I can find what I need quickly, not having to go through different dropdown menus to find what I need. It is easier for me to export reports to Excel and other third party applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For me, Version 8.06 is much slower than the previous 7.51 our company was using. The time it takes for fields to auto-fill makes things much slower. The application can't keep up with my keystrokes. I feel that I have lost up to 40% of my efficiency after switching to Version 8.06. There is a lack of consistency when trying to input information. Sometimes a cursor will appear automatically, sometimes it won't. Using the Tab key to move the cursor doesn't always move the cursor to the same area. I never know whether a cursor will end up where I want it to. I have to move slower and have little faith that what I am doing will actually work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Aptean Discrete Manufacturing ERP is how it brings all aspects of the business together in one place and has an extensive list of add-ons and integrations available. Because everything is centralized, information stays accessible to every department involved, which makes it much easier to coordinate device sales, production, shipping, and invoicing without constantly jumping between different systems. What I dislike about Aptean Discrete Manufacturing ERP is that it doesn’t feel like it was thoroughly tested before it was released for customers to purchase. There are a lot of bugs in the system, and we often have to rely on workarounds. This ends up eating valuable time and leaves users feeling frustrated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. The ability to switch companies on the fly is nice.

2. Cloud hosting makes M2M easily accessible from anywhere.

3. The ability to have multiple instances of the same application (ex. Item Master) open at the same time helps when comparing similar components, jobs, etc.

4. The dashboard overview is a good addition.

1. The browse or lookup screens always revert to default column width and order. For instance, the column width for part description needs to be must wider than part revision so it's difficult to display the most useful information on the screen. It would be huge if M2M could remember our preference selections.

2. It would be nice if we could add a color strip to the company header at the top of the window. The added visual helps prevent user mistakes. Ex. Company 01 is blue, Company 02 is green, etc.

3. Open screens don't update following activity in another window. Ex. If I'm in Job Orders in one window and creating jobs in the job queue in another window, if I click on the job order screen to advance to the next job, M2M informs me there are no further jobs. This isn't a deal breaker but wasn't an issue on our server based 7.51 edition.

4. Sometimes the response times are productivity killers. We're accustomed to pressing a key with immediate software response.

5. The navigation window on the left of the screen is a fixed width. This results in waiting for the description to appear with the mouse hover.

6. Too many screens. While I realize this may be so the software can operate on tablets or phones, we went from 3 or 4 screens in some instances to 6 or 7 plus a "more actions" tab. All the extra clicks slow productivity.

7. Functionality. Everything has to work as designed. Not being able to trust that your critical tool is providing accurate data makes proper decision making impossible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best is that I can access it as long as I have internet. I don't have to be logged into my computer. That is pretty much the best part of Aptean Discrete Manufacturing ERP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The loading of screens takes longer than our last version. I find myself having to click on fields multiple times to be able to type. I get errors when trying to change quantities in quotes. The search functions don't always work correctly. I can search something and get nothing then search again and find what I was looking for. Having to click on the tree dots to the right of the quote line item to add the BOM and routings is a pain and you have to do it every time to make sure the page has not reset you to the first line item. The lack of input options for quoting. Basically, setup time and production time are the only inputs. When importing old quotes or sales order into new quotes or sales orders the newest overhead and pay information does not update automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
