It’s also particularly useful for nonprofits when generating annual tax receipts, which can otherwise be a time-consuming process. **What do you dislike about apsona?** The purchasing process was really frustrating and more fragmented than expected. It took almost 3 weeks from initial enquiry to getting the product. It involved several rounds of back-and-forth to gather basic information that could likely have been requested upfront, which made the process longer and less smooth than it needed to be. A clearer and more consolidated onboarding or purchasing workflow would improve the overall experience. **What problems is apsona solving and how is that benefiting you?** For our client, Apsona helps maintain clean donor data by identifying and managing duplicates, which is essential for accurate records and communication. It also simplifies the process of generating annual tax receipts for donors, saving significant administrative time for the nonprofit team. ### 2. Without this tool we would not have the level of productivity that we currently do. It’s also great for doing mass changes in Salesforce. **What do you dislike about apsona?** Apsona sometimes is not the best tool for making changes to a large group of records. Sometimes it is more intuitive to run a report and import the needed information. **Recommendations to others considering apsona:** This is a simple tool that makes mass updates easy to do. I prefer it over running reports and importing the resulting CSV file. **What problems is apsona solving and how is that benefiting you?** Apsona was a key addition to our organization’s toolbox for database management. It allows us to manage many accounts with little effort. ### 6. We have been learning it quickly as Admins. Basically, the early use cases have removed need for cross-object report types (entirely) and reduced my use of dataloader by 50%.. I'm really excited to build some resusable processes that make life so much easier. Apsona make it much faster to deal with ad hoc requests like "Can you change the campaign on these hundred records?" "Can you add a new item to these gifts? " Can you add a preference to these contacts?". Seemingly simple reqeuests like this would be a drag on my capacity because of finding the appropriate report type and isolating the records for their IDs to use in dataloader. But now with Apsona I can make these changes is much less than 10 minutes and without saving csv's to my desktop I'll never need again. **What do you dislike about apsona?** Running into Apex Limit Timeout errors. We have a large data set compared to other non-profits. On certain objects I need to download a CSV anyway for uploader. This is not reducing the value of apsona though becuase the isolation of said records was far easier than before. **Recommendations to others considering apsona:** It will be tempting to provide Apsona to only a select few users. This is great during a trial/implementation period and to create some early super users. However, make sure to plan on doubling those users in a short period of time (before the end of year one). The tool is so easy to use and powerful that your leaving value on the table to restrict it. I say this because companies may forget to add Apsona to additional users and miss out on making more people's life easier. That said, be very careful to give multiple warning about the update/delete records features. You don't want to be rescuing records from the recycle bin or backing out updates. It is not always possible to recover past updates. Test on one selected record before hitting update all. **What problems is apsona solving and how is that benefiting you?** Quick updates. Saved filters/reports for reuse and sharing to other Apsona users Converting a complex business process to a stored filter/report makes for easier step-by-step guides *Experimenting with updates by javscript. For example, report shows amounts but I want to output or update a formula ({Amount}*1.5) Apsona can do javascript formulas. ### 7. Basically, I am unsure how to best use some of its features. **Recommendations to others considering apsona:** I think apsona, when used to its full potential could be extremely beneficial, as I probably only use a small portion of it and already see a huge difference. **What problems is apsona solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has led to alot of process automation and saves hours of our time. ### 8. I use it for so many things, it truly is indispensable and I can't imagine not having it. I use a lot of related apps and Apsona is by far my favorite, I can't sing its praises loud enough! **What do you dislike about apsona?** The user interface is a little dated-looking but what it lacks in elegance it more than makes up for in functionality. It can be a little tough to figure out at first, especially since some of the filtering terminology is different from what I am used to in our database (we use Salesforce), but once you get used to it and understand how it works it becomes second nature. The one thing I wish was a little easier is to update existing filter sets - basically, you can't. You update, save as a new version and then get rid of the old one. But overall it's a small price to pay for such a useful product. **Recommendations to others considering apsona:** get it! you will love it **What problems is apsona solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use it for mail merges, importing data, updating existing data, etc... One of our primary uses is for merging gift receipts and thank you letters for people who make donations to our NPO. I also use it regularly to mass-update records and it is a godsend for populating campaign segments -- that is a process that is slow as molasses to do within the campaign itself, but a snap to do in Apsona which has saved us so much time and allowed us to do much more detailed fundraising analysis for our direct mail program. ### 9. We don't have the resources to pay for a more expensive product, so having the option to have a lower cost product is a huge plus. ### 10. To edit an entry, you have to first click "add an entry" for example, instead of just clicking on the "edit" button. **Recommendations to others considering apsona:** It's helpful in that it integrates with Salesforce and I'm sure other CRMs, and it's a good product if you get the hang of it. I'm still working on that part. **What problems is apsona solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're entering donations and tracking them and then creating and sustaining relationships with our donors. It's very helpful in that way. ### 11. With Apsona, I was able to quickly mass update the error without fear of further mistakes. I also use the product to easily produce documents from forms I use daily. **What do you dislike about apsona?** I wish that there was an easy way to export to excel, as I am able to create some reports that I otherwise cannot in Salesforce **Recommendations to others considering apsona:** Try first in a sandbox! **What problems is apsona solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have automated many processes previously done manually in document creation. We have also been able to make more complex reports that Salesforce did not otherwise support, given our very customized instance of Salesforce ### 12. I can search and filter object records sometimes faster than creating and exporting reports using the native Salesforce reports builder. **What do you dislike about apsona?** The interface is not always intuitive and there is a steep learning curve. Overall the menus looks a bit dated and I wish I had more ability to customize certain functions as an Admin. **What problems is apsona solving and how is that benefiting you?** Apsona has been great for automating repetitive tasks such as uploading records in batch and merging fields in documents for mailing donors. ### 13.
