"Stable, Secure and Fast Messaging system "

What do you like best?

Amazon MQ is a new player in the middleware industry launched my Amazon. The basic functionalities remain the same as the IBM MQ which has been the market leader ever since. The good thing about the Amazon MQ is that the number of open channel connections to a queue manager and their time out period has increased significantly. Secondly the interface is much more crisp and clear as compared to IBM MQ. It really helps the job of administrator of creating and configuring the new queue managers and repositories that much easier.

What do you dislike?

I don't have anything negative to say about it at the moment. It's getting the job done without any issues. But, I will like if they make the ssl certs configuration on the queue manager level easier as compared to IBM.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Amazon MQ has been a great blessing for us because IBM cost model is too expensive and even the maintenance costs huge amounts whereas Amazon costs way less than IBM. Another positive has been many things which we had to do via scripts in IBM is already automated in Amazon MQ interface.

What do you like best?

We do not have to write any messaging code in application and setup whole complex infrastructure .

Also it is very easy to bridge our own message broker to cloud MQ.

Also has all the feature required like Queue and topic, persist messaging, distributed transactions.

Very useful product.

What do you dislike?

Nothing I am enjoying the product and loving it.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you do not have resource to setup complex messaging system then you must try this,

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

"Good alternative for IBM MQ"

What do you like best?

I really like the interface and how straightforward it is. Amazon has not added anything new which IBM MQ didn't have, but they have just refined it and made it that much user-friendly. The number of open connections between the queue manager has increased. The session between the repository and the partial queue managers do not get disrupted easily, which is a big plus.

What do you dislike?

Nothing major to add here, but It does take some time for the updates to reach to Full repository from the partial ones as compared to IBM MQ. So, that is something that they need to work upon.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The learning curve for the newcomers has reduced drastically because it is very user-friendly. The security and the connections between the queue managers are improved upon quite a bit.

"A much better product than ActiveMQ!"

The best part about Amazon MQ is that our development team is given the ability to change maintenance windows with minimum rebooting. This improves our efficiency.
