I see my team doing so even when i lock views for the team. Also I don't kike that for each add on its for the entire team . In my application I have 2 fold manipulating the data as creators. I would love to do th add on for just these two however - billing would be for everyone. This make the add- on a total waste of money.. Wish that would change. Billing by teir may make sense for someone in this situation. **What problems is Airtable solving and how is that benefiting you?** A central place to work. My application is that of a broker. We need to keep track of vendors, customers; third party service providers and many other pieces of information. Each segment needs to be tracked in different ways and we needa way to link all the parties together on each individual contract. Airtable is the best way to do this so far ### 2. I can received, send, manipulate, and store data in ways that I haven't been able to with any other product. It also makes it really easy to share views with others. I would also like the ability to copy/paste from something like a spreadsheet into form fields. And - even though I use Airtable a ton, I'm a bit of a novice so the formulas are way more tricky than I would like them to be. **What problems is Airtable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Airtable allows me to condense all my information into one place and then share that via views with others in my organization. My background is in the humanities but I was able to create and implement a fully-functional CRM database for my organization with only a few days of effort. My team and I found it easy to use right from the get-go so implementation was painless. If I ever encounter any issues (which is very rare), Airtable support is quick to assist with helpful suggestions. My organization uses it to track our grantmaking, relationships with individuals and organizations, our meetings/projects, and media. Highly recommend! **What do you dislike about Airtable?** I can't think of anything I would change about Airtable at the moment. **What problems is Airtable solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a CRM that was low-cost to implement and also tracked grants, projects, media-mentions and meetings. It was impossible to find this software ready-made so we opted to create our own database with Airtable. Now, our organization can easily track all of these instances and more. It has such an easy interface that accommodates & includes members of our team who are less tech-inclined, but has so much depth that our more technical members can really customize it to fit our needs and expand our efficacy as a team. I have loved being able to create personalized views with unique structure to quickly display data in meetings. We started using Airtable for only specific projects, but have quickly expanded use to each of our daily tasks, including financial records, payment processing, collaboration with other teams within our company, and more. Also, they made the transition / onboarding of our data from Google Sheets / Excel so seamless! You could ask any member of our team and they would say Airtable has given us a platform to really expand the reach of our small team. **What do you dislike about Airtable?** The form feature does not offer much room for customization and has pretty limited options for data collection. I would love to see this expand in the future, specifically the ability to submit multiple line items in one entry, or the ability to pre-fill portions of the form per guest (i.e. Publisher enters Account name & can see their licensed titles or open invoices). **What problems is Airtable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Airtable has given us a platform for a unified data "source-of-truth" across different departments. Specifically with managing our team's contacts, term negotiation updates, and the statuses of the hundreds of projects that come through our department each week. Also, it has helped us exponentially increase our professionalism & best practices with Accounts Receivable. We would LOVE to see Airtable offer an integration with Bill.com. ### 5. The native integrations are everywhere. every other database likes to compare themselves to it but can't match its scope and breadth. the new AI implementation offers ease of use and is practically applied giving near immediate benefit. **What do you dislike about Airtable?** like all good things - unless a person starts with the end in mind - or knows how to model data - even airtable cannot save a person from poor planning or no goals - airtable lacks a straightforward mode for enforcing referential integrity. that may be due to my ignorance but i come from the world of oracle data relational data systems and have not fully embraced other models. **What problems is Airtable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Provides quick responsive systems for adhoc queries of unstructured data without isolating the data from other systems ### 9. It's easier and faster to use. I also like that it can color code and turn data into a design. I think the younger colleagues at my office enjoy using Airtable more. **What do you dislike about Airtable?** Not everyone has airtable which is challenge #1, so accessibility has limited my use of it because I can't collaborate with people on it if they don't have airtable. Printing is such an issue. In the calendar setting, if the text is too long for the box when you print, the words will be cut off, which also means you can print to PDF with it either. That alone has made me go back to some of my other software. I do think there's a learning curve with Airtable and it's not the easiest to find help if I need it. **What problems is Airtable solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can create databases at a quicker rate and have it look nice and not have that take more time. ### 10. Relative to excel it enforces data types better and allows you to join tables much better/quicker than complex formulas. Relative to a database, it is much more user friendly. **What do you dislike about Airtable?** If you have used databases, some of the way it joins data are infuriating. If you want to reference data from 2 tables over (i.e. A joined to B joined to C and A wants data from C), each column from A has to be imported into B, then imported from B into A. This greatly complicates it. Also, while great that it allows public sharing of interfaces (which is useful for sharing information with customers without requiring them to create an airtable account, which none of mine would do), it is awkward if you want to share multiple interfaces. They have a really good overview interface which allows to create a single interface that accesses other interfaces...but that is not allowed for public sharing. Also, the page designer is a useful extension for creating documents from your data, but it feels like it hasn't been updating in years...the same requests have been around and the standard answer is pay for a third party tool. **What problems is Airtable solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have a landscape design and gardening business. On the customer side, I use airtable to capture data on plants that I share with customers (about proposed plants included with their design). On the project management side, I use it to track nursery inventories (which nurseries have which plants in which sizes), calculate estimates/invoices for proposed designs, track tasks/time spent vs projected on installations, and link follow on notes to customers/projects/plants/nursery products so that I can track how my designs/plantings are performing. Airtable basically allows me to connect everything. ### 11. Airtable is all in one! It saves us a ton of time and also makes sure we aren't missing anything. The automations also allow us to access that data to create small, digestible reports (like itineraries) for guests which saves me a ton of time. ### 13. Functionality is amazing and makes searches, filtering, etc. a bit easier. As a newer company, the program is improving year over year and adding functionality and needs from its customers. There is SO much that you can do within Airtable, especially if you are tech literate. Even if you are not, this program is a game changer. **What do you dislike about Airtable?** Overall, the company and program is newer, so it doesn't have everything you would ever want. For example, there are some formulas that would be nice to add in, like count or averages, on the main sheet. You can do this, but on a different page. I'd love to see this shift in the near future. However, what I dislike ends up being one of Airtable's strenghts. They are continuing to evolve and improve whereas Excel is pretty much staying as is and Sheets is not evolving nearly at the same rate. Its various viewing option is a game changer since I can view data the way I so need it, be it a kanban board of tasks or a calendar of the deadlines. The functionality of relating records on other tables is also excellent in relating the related projects and client information. This gives an impression of working with a complex data set that is quite natural and organized. I can find example that I can tie a certain marketing campaign to all of its corresponding creative assets and even to its budget with ease. It actually turns stinky spreadsheets into created order visual databases. **What do you dislike about Airtable?** The pricing plan may also be somewhat costly especially when it comes to bigger teams which require high-level functions. Some very important features will have a lock that feels like jumping. At the same time as being powerful the more advanced the automation capabilities are they may require a learning aspect in the beginning. Coming up with the capability of creating genuinely custom workflows requires some time and effort. **What problems is Airtable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to Airtable, the information on our team projects was spread in different spreadsheets and various tools. Monitoring of activities and getting to know the project status was a sloppy nightmare that needed continuous adjustments manually. Today, thanks to Airtable, everything is in one common place. There is a single source of truth of all projects assets and clients interactions. This would reduce time spent in information search and enable one spend more time working. What it actually means is that I can prepare a complicated table such as a project pipeline or a content calendar with an unbelievable ease. It is extremely convenient that different views such as a Kanban board or gallery view can be switched. This actually allows our team to visualize data in the best manner we can in every task. **What do you dislike about Airtable?** The only thing I do not particularly like is that Airtable can turn too expensive very soon as your team scale up or as you require more capabilities. This function works very well for large-scale data updates and bulk email outreach. We run almost our entire operation out of Airtable due to this powerful feature! **What do you dislike about Airtable?** Automated integrations would reduce human error rather than relying on CSV imports only. This may be available via Zapier or other system, but a built-in feature would be appreciated. Additionally, the "AI" in the system is not helpful and I wish there was a way to minimize or otherwise opt out of the AI so I can have more screen space. **What problems is Airtable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bulk communication outreach for internal and external shareholders. In addition to that I think that it makes the app building super intuitive and user friendly for both builder and user. Truth be told I have found very little that I have not been able to do in Airtable. I made a copy of the survey I wanted to change. The new survey wasn't even in the system. Instead the answers were linked to a previous year's survey although questions were different. Downloading everything should be simple. Also would like to have option of downloading as pdf file rather than excel spreadsheet, or downloading individual files. Also have issues with integrations to other systems using. The cost even for nonprofits...are small and having to pay per seat is not financially sound for us.
