## Ahrefs Reviews
 ### 1. Ahrefs Makes SEO Research Easy with Deep Stats and Trending AIO Query Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khushal R. | SEO Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

Vast amount of website stats from backlinks to keywords, everything is there. Now even AIO data is also there, it's so easy to find trending aio queries with ahrefs and optimise your website.

We use ahrefs everyday to find latest keywords trends and what actions we need to take in order to keep our website error-free from SEO perspective

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

As of now their AIO queries feature is in beta testing, the data maybe littlebit inaccurate so they need to improve it, rest everything is good about the tool

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs is solving biggest seo problem, we need to know estimated traffic of any keyword before we work on it, like if we work on keywords with 0 volume then it won't benefit us, so to estimate traffic details of any keywords we need reliable tool with accurate data and ahrefs does that

 ### 2. Ahrefs Powers Confident SEO Audits, Competitor Research, and Content Planning

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Altamash M. | Video Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

At Botpresso, Ahrefs is one of the main tools we use when working on SEO audits, competitor research, and content planning for clients.

What I personally rely on the most is Site Explorer. It helps us quickly understand which pages are driving traffic for a website, what keywords they rank for, and how their backlink profile looks. This becomes really useful when we’re trying to figure out why a competitor is outperforming a client.

We also use Ahrefs for keyword research and content validation especially to check if a topic has real traffic potential before investing time in creating content. The data is consistent enough that we can confidently base decisions on it.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

There’s definitely a learning curve, especially for new team members. The amount of data can feel overwhelming at first, and it takes some time to understand which reports are actually useful for your workflow.

Pricing is another factor it’s on the higher side, so it makes more sense when you’re using it regularly as part of client work.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs helps us move from guesswork to clear, data-backed SEO decisions. At Botpresso, we use it to:

Analyze competitors and identify gaps
Find keyword opportunities for new and existing content
Audit backlink profiles
Understand traffic trends and ranking changes

It’s especially useful when explaining SEO performance to clients, because we can show actual data instead of assumptions.

 ### 3. Accurate Keyword Research and Powerful AI Visibility Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aditee K. | IT Security Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

I have been using Ahrefs for the last 6 years, and it’s one of the best tools for SEO keyword research. It provides very accurate data on my current rankings, keyword trends, search volumes, and difficulty. Recently, Ahrefs also launched its AI visibility tracking feature, which is useful for tracking our visibility in AI overviews, ChatGPT, and similar platforms.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

The cost of the tool is a little higher. I understand that, given the high-quality features, the price is justified to an extent, but I still feel it could be optimized.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs is very useful for finding low-competition keywords that are relevant to our business. It’s also helpful for spying on competitors’ links and content, so we can keep working continuously to outrank them.

 ### 4. Ahrefs Delivers Top-Notch Keyword & Backlink Research with Amazing Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hemkesh R. | Senior Digital marketing Team Lead, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

There are a couple of sections in AHREFS that I really like. The first is the keyword research data, which includes keyword intent as well as information on similar keywords. Another section is backlink research data it is very easy to use it also bifercates which backlinks are do follow and no follow and also it is super easy to spy on my competitors backlinks which help me find sites that i can create backlinks.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

To be honest, I don’t dislike anything about this tool it’s been super helpful for me. I’ve been using it for the past 3 years, and it hasn’t disappointed me even once. Their customer support is amazing, and the data they provide for backlinks, competitor analysis, and keyword research is all top-notch.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves my problem of guess work by providing me accurate data which help me in ranking my website and webpage. It gives me real data and insights into what people are searching for, how competive those topics are and how my site is performing as compared to others.

 ### 5. Ahrefs Delivers Unmatched Backlink Data and an Intuitive, Powerful SEO Toolkit

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenil G. | Enterprise Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

Ahrefs' backlink database is the standout feature it's one of the largest and most frequently updated indexes available, making competitor backlink analysis and link building research genuinely reliable. The data feels current and actionable rather than outdated or incomplete.
The Keywords Explorer is equally strong. It goes beyond search volume and provides click data, keyword difficulty scores, and parent topic suggestions that help prioritize which keywords are actually worth targeting. Combined with the Content Gap tool, identifying opportunities that competitors rank for but you don't becomes a straightforward process.
The Site Audit tool is thorough and well-organized it surfaces technical SEO issues clearly and categorizes them by priority, which makes it easy to know where to focus first.
What ties everything together is the interface. Despite the depth of data Ahrefs provides, the platform is clean and intuitive enough that both beginners and experienced SEOs can navigate it without feeling overwhelmed.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

Pricing is the most significant drawback Ahrefs is one of the more expensive SEO tools on the market, and the entry-level plan has limitations that often push users toward higher tiers sooner than expected. For freelancers or small businesses, the cost is hard to justify.
The lack of a free trial is also frustrating. Unlike some competitors, Ahrefs requires a paid commitment upfront, which makes it difficult to evaluate properly before investing.
Reporting and export options, while functional, feel basic compared to the depth of data the platform offers. Custom branded reports for clients require additional workarounds.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs solves the core problem of SEO visibility understanding why competitors rank higher and what it would take to outrank them. The backlink and keyword data makes it possible to build a strategy based on real evidence rather than guesswork.
Identifying content gaps and untapped keyword opportunities has directly shaped what gets created, resulting in more targeted content that actually drives organic traffic.
The Site Audit removes the guesswork from technical SEO issues that would otherwise go unnoticed until they impact rankings are caught and prioritized early.

 ### 6. Powerful Backlink Intelligence, But Pricey for Heavy Users

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tufail A. | Assistant manager SEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

It’s insanely good for:

Finding where competitors are getting links from

Spotting link gaps you can actually act on

Checking link quality fast (DR, traffic, anchors, dofollow/nofollow)

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

For link builders, the pain points are:

Reports eat up credits very fast when doing deep competitor backlink analysis

Higher plans are expensive for small teams or freelancers

Historical data sometimes requires upgrading just to see full link growth trends

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems it solves for me:

- Shows exactly where competitors are getting links from
- Helps identify link gaps I can target
- Filters out low-quality sites using traffic + DR metrics
- Tracks new and lost backlinks, so I can react fast
- Finds content that naturally attracts links (top pages report)

How that benefits me:

- Saves hours of manual prospecting
- Makes outreach more targeted and higher success rate
- Helps prioritize links that actually move rankings
- Lets me show clients clear, data-backed strategy and progress

 ### 7. Great tool for SEO/content strategy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley A. | Marketing Communications Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

How easy it makes it to actually understand what’s going on with SEO without digging through a million diffrent tools. The keyword research and competitor analysis are super helpful, especially for finding opportunities that are realistic to rank for.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

some of the newer AI analysis features feel locked behind higher tiers. With how important AI search is becoming, I wish there was morevisibility into AI trends and content analysis without needing to upgrade.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me a much clearer picture of what people are actually searching for, what competitors are ranking for, and where there are opportunities to improve visibility!

 ### 8. insanely Reliable SEO Data with a Fast, Clean UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shiv C. | Founder/President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

Ahrefs is insanely reliable when it comes to SEO data. the backlink index is one of the strongest in the industry, and the keyword research data feels very close to real-world rankings and traffic. I especially like how fast and clean the UI is - Site Explorer and Keywords Explorer make it very easy to spot opportunities quickly. For competitor analysis, Ahrefs is usually my first tool because the insights are actionable, not just vanity metrics...

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

the pricing can feel expensive for solo founders or early-stage teams, and the credit-based usage model sometimes limits deep exploration. I also wish there were more flexible plans or add-ons instead of strict tiers.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs helps me understand why certain pages rank, where competitors are getting links from, and which keywords are actually worth targeting. It saves a lot of time in SEO research and removes guesswork from content and link-building decisions. Overall, it helps drive more organic traffic with clearer strategy.

 ### 9. Comprehensive SEO Insights with an Intuitive Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiwari S. | Systems Integration Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

What I appreciate most about Ahrefs is the comprehensive and precise SEO data it offers, all within a user-friendly interface. The platform streamlines the process of analyzing backlinks, keywords, and competitors, allowing me to identify actionable opportunities efficiently. Its site audit and keyword research tools deliver clear, useful insights, which makes it much easier to prioritize my SEO strategies and monitor progress without feeling bogged down by excessive raw data.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

One aspect I find less appealing about Ahrefs is its pricing, which tends to be on the higher side for individuals, freelancers, or small businesses. I’ve also noticed that certain features can be challenging for beginners to master, as there is a noticeable learning curve. The credit-based limits on reports can feel restrictive, especially when conducting frequent or large-scale research. Furthermore, since Ahrefs is primarily focused on SEO, users may need to supplement it with other tools to achieve a more comprehensive digital marketing perspective.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs addresses the challenge of limited insight into search performance, competitors, and backlink profiles by offering a comprehensive and dependable SEO data platform. With Ahrefs, I can discover valuable keywords, monitor rankings, study competitors’ strategies, and find new backlink opportunities. This allows me to make informed, data-driven SEO decisions, reduces the time I spend on research, and enhances my website’s visibility and organic traffic through more targeted and effective optimization.

 ### 10. Best Backlink Tool and Great Free Webmaster Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Admin - LDCE MOCK TEST . | admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

my solid choice for backlink data, Also very good features provided on ahrefs webmaster, super fresh thanks to their crawler, and it really helps spot real link-building opportunities or figure out what competitors are doing with their profiles. Also have sufficient video guide on youtube.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

pricing hits hard for new SEO, must required trial at least for 7 days , so they must require a low-cost plan for India. Limitation is its best only backlink purpose. There's still a learning curve too; at first, it's overwhelming with all the features.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it gives super detailed, fresh backlink data , so you can spot toxic links, find new opportunities, or copy what competitors are doing right. Tools like Site Explorer and Content Explorer let you see exactly what pages/keywords are working for rivals, find content gaps, and steal ideas ethically to outrank them.

 ### 11. Ahrefs Blocks Paying Customers From Using Their Own Subscriptions - Broken Service

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

The only thing I liked was the data quality - WHEN I could actually access it. Unfortunately, Ahrefs has made it impossible to use the service I'm paying for. Their overly aggressive "suspicious activity" detection system punishes legitimate paying customers. I'm staying within my plan limits but getting restricted daily. When you prioritize paranoid security over customer service, you destroy your own product's value.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

Everything about their broken restriction system and dismissive support. I'm a PAYING customer staying WITHIN my rate limits, but I'm treated like a criminal for doing legitimate domain analysis work. Their support team hides behind "suspicious activity" excuses instead of solving problems. They claim to "protect resources" but really they're just preventing customers from using what they paid for. Other tools like SEMrush and Moz don't have these issues. Ahrefs has essentially stolen my money by selling me a service they won't let me use. Their automated systems are broken, their support is useless, and they clearly don't care about legitimate business users. Complete waste of money. I'm switching to competitors who actually let customers use their subscriptions.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NONE - because I can't actually use the service I'm paying for. Ahrefs was supposed to help me analyze expired domains for my business, but their broken "suspicious activity" system blocks me from working despite staying within my paid limits. Instead of solving problems, Ahrefs IS the problem. Their overly aggressive restrictions and dismissive support have completely prevented me from doing legitimate business analysis. The only "problem" being "solved" is Ahrefs taking my money while refusing to provide the service. I'm now forced to waste time fighting with support and looking for alternative tools that actually let paying customers work. Zero benefit - only frustration and wasted money.

 ### 12. Ahrefs Makes SEO Actionable with Clear Backlink and Content Next Steps

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mallikarjuna M. | Growth Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

What I like best about Ahrefs is how actionable it is—it doesn’t just show data, it clearly points to what to do next, especially with backlinks and content opportunities.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

Credit limits can feel restrictive for heavy usage
Rank tracking isn’t as strong or flexible as some competitors
Traffic estimates can be directionally right but not always accurate

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, it helps:

Find high-impact keywords to target
Reverse-engineer competitors quickly
Identify link-building opportunities
Prioritize SEO actions instead of guessing

Net benefit: faster decision-making and more predictable organic growth.

 ### 13. Ahrefs: My Go-To SEO Tool for Keyword Research, Rankings, and Backlink Insights

Here are some of the things I dislike about ahrefs
1) Expensive pricing
2) too many metircs, feels too overwhelming for new users
3) takes long time to load the data sometimes
4) Local SEO is not strong

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs is helping me to resolve many of the technical issues on my website. I am able to create an extensive technical audit on my website with that.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohit P. | SEO Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

As a digital marketer and SEO analyst, I’ve been using Ahrefs for a decade. It has helped me find detailed SEO keywords for different regions, along with their search volumes. The features I use most are its website technical analysis and competitor analysis. Apart from this their UI is really user friendly, comparing to other competitors

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

Recently, due to a Google update, Ahrefs has started showing incorrect data for keyword rankings, which has made our keyword tracking a bit more difficult. I hope they find a way to display more accurate keyword ranking data soon.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs is really helpful for competitor and keyword analysis. Using Ahrefs, we’re able to find the different keywords our competitors are targeting, as well as untapped keywords we can focus on. This has helped us grow our business and improve our product visibility.

 ### 16. A powerful and data-driven SEO platform with industry-leading insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lukas J. | Senior Search Engine Optimization Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

Ahrefs is one of the most reliable and comprehensive SEO tools available. It provides deep insights into backlinks, keyword rankings, competitors, and overall search visibility. The data is well-structured, easy to analyze, and suitable for both strategic planning and day-to-day SEO work. It is especially strong for competitive research and understanding why certain pages rank.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

The main downside is that keyword position and ranking data sometimes updates slower than expected. For projects that require near real-time monitoring or rapid testing, the delay in position updates can limit how quickly changes can be evaluated.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs helps solve the problem of understanding search performance and competitive positioning. It allows me to identify ranking opportunities, analyze competitors’ strategies, monitor backlinks, and track keyword performance at scale. This leads to better-informed SEO decisions, more efficient prioritization, and improved long-term organic visibility.

The best thing about the UX is how easy it is to use. It also provides solid backlink data compared to the other tools we use. Overall, we rely on it for our full SEO needs, and it works well for that. I’ve been using Ahrefs for the past 10 years, and they’ve consistently improved the product, adding new reports that help refine SEO strategies even further.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

While Ahrefs is a powerful SEO tool, the pricing can feel high, especially for smaller teams or solo users, and its paid ads research capabilities are more limited compared to dedicated PPC tools.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs solves the challenge of understanding search demand, competitor performance, and backlink profiles in one place. It helps us identify ranking opportunities, track keyword and link growth, audit technical SEO issues.

 ### 19. The Most Dependable SEO Tool I Use Daily

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samwel N. | SEO Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

What I value most about Ahrefs is the reliability and depth of its data throughout every tool. The backlink index stands out as one of the most robust in the industry, and I rely on it daily to examine competitor strategies, analyze anchor text distribution, and monitor link growth trends. The Keywords Explorer is another standout feature—its keyword difficulty score, accurate search volume, and detailed SERP overview make it straightforward to assess whether a keyword is worth pursuing.

I also appreciate how Ahrefs simplifies complex SEO tasks. Whether I’m identifying content gaps, tracking ranking fluctuations, or auditing several sites, the interface remains quick, intuitive, and user-friendly. This efficiency saves me considerable time compared to other SEO platforms.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

For me, the main drawback is the pricing. While Ahrefs offers a lot of power, the cost difference between plans can be quite significant, particularly for smaller teams handling several websites. Some important features, such as access to historical data and more frequent rank-tracking updates, are only available on the higher-tier plans, which can feel restrictive.

I've also noticed that certain metrics, like backlink updates for newer pages, can take a while to refresh. Although the data is usually reliable, there are times when I need to verify recent changes using other tools. Introducing more flexible pricing or pay-as-you-go options would make the platform even more appealing.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs helps me solve several key SEO challenges in one place. It gives me clear visibility into how my websites are performing, what keywords I can realistically rank for, and where my competitors are getting their traffic. The Site Audit tool helps me identify technical issues quickly, and the backlink data shows me which links are helping or hurting my rankings.

It also saves me a lot of time when planning content. With the keyword research tools and content gap analysis, I can easily spot opportunities and create pages that actually rank. Overall, Ahrefs helps me make better data-driven decisions, improve search visibility, and track progress across all the sites I manage.

What I like most about Ahrefs is the accuracy and depth of its data, especially for backlink analysis and keyword research. Features like Content Gap, Site Explorer, and Site Audit save a lot of time and help make informed decisions quickly. It’s a reliable tool for understanding why pages rank and how to improve performance.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

The main downside of Ahrefs is its pricing, which can feel high for freelancers or small teams. Some features also have usage limits, so you need to be mindful when running frequent reports. While the tool is powerful, beginners may need some time to fully understand all features. That said, once you get used to it, the value it provides outweighs these limitations.

Sometimes Ahrefs shows technical issues even after I fix them. When I re-audit, the issue sometimes isn't removed, and it doesn't reflect an increase in my site's health. So I think Ahrefs should work on improving its crawlers.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ahrefs to track keyword positions and monitor backlinks. It highlights competitor performance, identifies gaps, and diagnoses technical issues on my website. It's like my daily go-to tool, offering insights on traffic and page performance.

 ### 23. Musthave SEO tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor Z. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

Ahrefs is the tool I trust most when it comes to backlinks. The database feels deep and up to date, and I usually find links here that other tools miss. For SEO work, this alone makes it hard to replace.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

Ahrefs is simply costly. For freelancers, indie founders, or small startups, the price is hard to justify unless SEO is mission critical. It feels built more for teams with budgets than solo users.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I open Site Explorer, I get a fast and understandable picture of what’s going on. Traffic trends, top pages, keywords, and links are all in one place. It helps me orient myself quickly without digging for hours.

 ### 24. Robust SEO Tool with Room for Metric Enhancements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sannivas S. | SEO Analyst, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

I like how robust and dependable Ahrefs is for keyword research and backlink data, which makes competitor analysis and opportunity discovery much more data-driven. It’s an excellent tool for off-page SEO, especially when it comes to finding link opportunities and vetting sites. I also appreciate the new AI Citations report, which shows how often our site is referenced by AI LLMs like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

One area that could be improved is the lack of built-in metrics, such as DA and SS data. I’d really like to see Ahrefs include built-in authority and spam score metrics, because it would be helpful to have everything in one place. That would make site vetting more streamlined and efficient within a single platform.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ahrefs to identify the right keywords, uncover content gaps, understand and improve our backlink profile, and vet/audit sites for acquiring backlinks. It helps make our SEO efforts more data-driven, focused, and efficient.

 ### 25. SEO Made Easy with Ahrefs' Comprehensive Dashboard

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bas S. | Freelance Marketeer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

I like the dashboard overview in Ahrefs because it shows all information in one place, making it easy to look at competitors with a clear overview. We check the dashboard on a weekly basis, which helps us establish priorities. The initial setup of Ahrefs was super easy, which made starting with the tool a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

I'm not too happy with the AI citations and how to optimize for AI search in Ahrefs. I wish there was clearer guidance on what to improve to rank better in AI.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs helps me find optimization opportunities for our website. The dashboard provides a comprehensive overview, allowing us to monitor competitors and prioritize tasks each week.

 ### 26. Simple Yet Powerful SEO Insights with Trusted Data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jayesh J. | IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

What I like most about Ahrefs is how simple yet powerful it is. The backlink and keyword data feels accurate and easy to trust, and it helps me quickly understand what’s working for competitors. The interface is clean, fast, and saves a lot of time when planning SEO tasks.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

Historical data and advanced features are sometimes locked behind higher plans, which can be frustrating.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs solves the problem of understanding why websites rank and how to compete with them. It helps me find the right keywords, analyze competitors, track backlinks, and fix SEO issues in one place. This saves time and allows me to make smarter SEO decisions that actually improve rankings and traffic.

 ### 27. Ahrefs: Easy to Use with Keyword Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chloe S. | Sales & Marketing Assistant, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

I like that Ahrefs is pretty simple to use, and it doesn't feel like there's a big learning curve. I also appreciate the suggested keywords feature, which helps me know what keywords I should be using when I look for a keyword. These features help direct my writing and optimizations by providing relevant keyword metrics.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

Sometimes it takes a while for the metrics to load, and sometimes you have to use a credit to get the metrics, which I don't really understand. Because if you're paying for the subscription, why do you have to use a credit? Another thing is that sometimes when you click on more information about the keyword, I don't know how to go back to the previous page. There's no option, so you end up having to click keywords explorer again and retype everything.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs helps me pick out high-volume keywords, directing my writing and optimizations. It provides relevant keyword metrics for our audience, which simplifies blog management.

 ### 28. Perfect for Competitor Insights, Easy Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piyush G. | SEO Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

I use Ahrefs for competitor research and keyword research. It helps me understand how my website is performing in search engine results pages (SERP) against my competitors and how I can outperform them. I like the competitor analysis, site audit, and content gap analysis. These features help me understand how competitors are performing for my targeted keywords, assess my site's technical health, and identify the topics and keywords my competitors are covering that I am not. The initial setup of Ahrefs was relatively easy, almost like plug and play, taking almost no time to set up.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

I think the keyword research part could get better. More options to filter out keywords and deeper keyword coverage to find all possible variations of the primary keyword would be helpful.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs helps me with competitor research, understanding SERP performance compared to competitors, site audits, and content gap analysis. It aids in checking site health and identifying keywords my competitors target that I don't.

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

Amazing customer service! Big shout-out to Nataliia from Ahrefs—amazing support for such a big company. BRAVO.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

It provides relevant, real-time data to Claude AI, helping improve SEO and increase LLM mentions for our site, rental12.com.

 ### 30. Specialized Backlink Tool with Room for Growth

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kumar A. | Marketing Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

I like Ahrefs for its accurate backlink data and its clean, easy-to-understand interface. I appreciate the backlink explorer, content gap analysis, and keyword research tool. The initial setup was very easy and quick, with a clean interface that makes it simple to use its key features.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

I don't like the pricing and how Ahrefs mainly focuses on the backlink feature rather than other important features. This makes me use it more as a specialized tool rather than an all-in-one SEO platform. For broader needs like site audit, content planning, and ongoing campaign tracking, I rely mainly on SEMrush. It would be great if Ahrefs could expand its site audit depth, keyword tracking flexibility, and content workflow features.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs provides deep backlink visibility and competitor link analysis, helping me identify high-quality link opportunities and understand competitor rankings. It validates SEO strategies alongside SEMrush for more confident decision-making.

 ### 31. Accurate Backlink Checker with a Seamless, Easy-to-Use Experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hanisha A. | Growth Hacker Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

Its backlink checker is the most accurate I’ve seen compared with others. There’s practically no learning curve, and the overall experience is seamless and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

Its plans are a bit restrictive, and the add-ons are expensive. For a new user, it can feel overwhelming at first. Also, the rank updates happen slowly.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, the main challenge was the complexity of looking at SEO and the ability to find actionable data from it—like whether backlinking should be worked on or not. This helped me make those decisions a bit easier.

 ### 32. Comprehensive SEO Tool & easy-to-use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Litto D. | Technical SEO Specialist , Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

I love the backlinking feature in Ahrefs; it's better than any other tools I've used. I have a massive number of backlinks, and other tools fail to fetch them successfully, but Ahrefs handles it well. The filtering options, like DR, traffic numbers, and date filters, along with exclude options, are really useful. I find the support to be responsive, which is great for sudden help. The initial setup was very easy, and the documentation and demos were helpful. When I tried SEMrush, it was difficult for me, but Ahrefs was much easier.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

I wish Ahrefs would provide a spam score for backlinks like Moz's SEO tool. It would help me check my content for improvements, avoid duplication, and disavow spammy backlinks.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ahrefs for SEO audits, backlink audits, keyword tracking, content planning, and optimization. It helps compare SEO metrics with competitors, document support, and offers GSC metrics for insights. The rank tracker and technical audits are great for keyword updates and reducing technical errors.

In particular, we use the backlink analysis feature a lot to keep an eye on the websites that are linking out to us. The tool also has an easy to use UI, so navigating the tool is pretty easy.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

I dislike what they're doing with regards to pricing at the moment. Gatekeeping new features behind more expensive plans.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlinks for ourselves and our competitors, keyword and topic research.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bhavishya J. | Search Engine Optimization Executive, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

Ahrefs has the most comprehensive backlink database I’ve used. The Site Explorer gives deep insights into competitors’ link profiles, organic keywords, and traffic estimations. I also like the Content Explorer, which helps me discover trending topics and identify link-building opportunities. The UI is clean, and the data feels more accurate compared to many other SEO tools. This is easy to use tool.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

The pricing is quite high for freelancers or small businesses, and many features are locked behind higher plans. The learning curve can also be steep for beginners, as the platform is very data-heavy. Reporting could be more customizable for client deliverables.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Addressing technical issues, exploring content, and conducting keyword research have all been important aspects of my experience.

 ### 40. Comprehensive SEO insights for teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nassim R. | SEO Marketing Specialist, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

In my case, What I have liked the most about Ahrefs is the nature of being comprehensive when it comes to tracking backlinks and keywords, considering that I visit it regularly. It was easy to install and connect it to Google Analytics as well as our CMS so that everything is in order. Competitor analysis and content opportunity features make the setup of the campaign easier which has assisted my team to work more efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

The only disadvantage is that certain reports take time to load, which is annoying in situations where I check things more than once a day. I work with Ahrefs regularly, and that slowing down may disrupt my workflow. Some features such as historical backlink data are somewhat limited, but which at times compels me to make cross-checks with other tools. Such gaps will introduce additional steps and may delay planning in a busy week.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs is the solution to track the backlinks, keywords and the competitor performance within the same space and I use it every day to keep in touch with the trends. This is because the integration with Google Analytics allows me to clearly see the results and the amount of time saved by the number of features of audits and research is enormous. It has made the SEO planning process quicker, assisted my team in concentrating on the correct priorities, and minimized speculation in the content strategy.

I like Ahrefs for its strong competitor analysis and tracking features. I also appreciate the AI overview traffic tracking, which gives me useful insights into emerging trends and helps me stay on top of what’s gaining traction.

One drawback is the limited access to historical data. Even on the basic paid plan, there are still restrictions on how far back you can view past data.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs really helps me with SEO analysis and tracking. I use it to identify and fix technical issues, monitor backlinks, and uncover new opportunities for my website. It’s also great for seeing what competitors are doing and for understanding how my pages are performing on the SERP.

 ### 46. Intuitive UI, Comprehensive SEO Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mervin Lance C. | Freelance Search Engine Optimization Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

I really like Ahrefs' simple user interface. Even though it's visually simple, it can do many things without having to click through lots of drop-downs or menus. It helps me see the insights readily at hand, and they don't make it complex to find important insights. In fact, they actually give me shortcuts to find the relevant insights for my client sites.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

Sometimes, Ahrefs runs maintenance work ad hoc, and I feel like if these could have been moved to a more quiet time, something that doesn't affect my time zone, which is UTC plus eight or Singapore time, that'd be really great.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs helps me with competitor insights, market and opportunity sizing, understanding search volumes, keyword strategies, and assessing link-building difficulty using backlink insights.

 ### 47. Ahrefs Makes SEO Keyword Research and Domain Authority Checks Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harshit K. | Website Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs is very strong at finding top keywords and providing detailed search engine optimization insights. It has helped me improve my website traffic.

 ### 48. Powerful SEO Insights and Effortless Keyword Research

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

Pricing can feel a bit steep, especially if you need access for multiple people. Some features take time to fully understand, and it’s easy to feel a bit overwhelmed at first because there’s so much data.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ahrefs helps us understand where our traffic is coming from, how we compare to competitors, and what to focus on next from an SEO perspective. It saves time on research and gives us confidence that we’re working on the right things.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mustarina N. | SEO Outreach Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ahrefs for keyword research and backlink analysis. It saves time, helps me understand competitors easily, and the backlink prospects feature streamlines my work.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniyal J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Ahrefs?**

I use Ahrefs for SEO work, and I appreciate their data accuracy, which is really good. It's helpful for finding keywords and competitor analysis. I prefer Ahrefs for detailed SEO audits and website reviews over other tools. It's also valuable for AI research and SEO audits; I have achieved a lot of success in ranking while using it. The setup is easy compared to SEMrush.

**What do you dislike about Ahrefs?**

One issue is their limited searches; you can't do more searches than the limit, which is a problem as in SEO there's a lot of research. Backlinks audit and backlinks in general, I think, should be more improved.

**What problems is Ahrefs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ahrefs for SEO. It helps with keyword research, SEO audit, competitor analysis, and website ranking. Their data accuracy is very good, but the limited searches can be an issue.
