&lt;p&gt;The pure-vs-both split in the title reflects a real difference in what the software has to model. Dry cleaning is custody tracking: item in, process, item out, don&#39;t lose it. Alterations is a small production pipeline, with measurements, fittings, rework, and approval, where a job has states and can move backward. Integrated platforms tend to bolt one model onto the other, and which one was bolted on shows immediately in daily use. So for mixed shops the demo that matters is the ugliest alteration job you&#39;ve had this month, walked end to end.&lt;/p&gt;
