Since the CDP aggregates data from the various platforms we connect with customers (in-store, online, social, in-person events, etc.), we can create highly customized messages for our customers that encourage omnichannel engagement - which we've found to be the single best predictor of return customers and higher lifetime value. We were able to explore the factors behind complex trends like customer lifetime transaction count by taking advantage of the incredible machine learning tools that Acquia provides. It's difficult to overemphasize just how useful it is to be able to manipulate and analyze your entire CDP using models you can build, test, and modify yourself. **What do you dislike about Acquia Customer Data Platform?** The one limitation I've found with Acquia's CDP has been data ingestion - particularly when trying to send data from another service into Acquia. Exporting data from Acquia couldn't be simpler (with SFTP and S3 output files you can customize yourself), but Acquia doesn't currently allow you to set up new data sources into the CDP on your own, instead requiring you to go through their support team. They have recently added a Workato integration, which is great for automatically setting up connections with larger, more commonly used platforms, but that still leaves a gap for niche/customized data sources. I know Acquia has been moving towards adding more self-service features, so hopefully this is one they will eventually include. **What problems is Acquia Customer Data Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Acquia's CDP has been an incredible resource for hand-tailoring messages to customers' unique needs. Since Acquia allows you to ingest data from a variety of sources, create highly refined filters for selecting only specific subsets of customers, and then automatically export relevant data to your ESP, it has vastly improved our ability to target specific customers, thus ensuring that they get all the information they need, while not inundating them with superfluous messages. ### 4. There is a lot of flexibility built into this out of box which is nice since you can't always plan for everything. The campaign builder has enough options included where you can build around potential limitations with a little creativity. Form and email creation is intuitive and doesn't require engineering resources to maintain. Additionally, I like that the cloud UI is clearly not an afterthought. I haven't encountered anything yet that has prevented the goal from being accomplished, but have had to think outside the box a little. Having profiles allows us to create segments of users to target for personalizations based on historical engagement and behavior on the website. It has allowed us to generate follow-up campaigns after the assets has been accessed by a potential client. The forms included in Mautic are quite simple and you don’t need to be an expert to understand how to work with them. It allows you to recognize, before sending an email, the precise time zone in which the system is set up, so you don't make mistakes choosing the hour of sending. Web-based program offers a great combination of features and options - as good as you would find in much more expensive solutions. It's well worth whatever that cost considering the commercial version is several hundred dollars per month. Overall it's an excellent program that does what it says. Email builder is quirky and a bit limited compared to other options out there, but it's serviceable. It could almost be used as both a marketing automation solution and a CRM solution all by itself. Our team is more productive and happier than they have been in years with their sales and CRM system. The web form and lead capture capabilities normally need some development job to be up and running. We can now do this without investing marketing $ for development or purchase commercial software solution. Within my company we already use Dynamic CRM to manage pipeline. However, the way it's used is so complicated that we are not willing to connect the CRM with web front in anyway. Mautic also enable us to automatic distribute web form result to interested parties through email notification. Which helps us to respond quickly to customer inquiry and monitor the process. One other thing we did is to use Mautic as an normal web form tool for in-bound call data entry and re-distribute to sales people. With the built in automation this is easy to setup and start using. Personally I did the localization for Mautic into Simplified Chinese. It takes some time but with what the product delivers it's worthwhile for us. **What do you dislike about Acquia Customer Data Platform?** As open source solution it takes some time to figure out the little tricks to setup and update Mautic. I myself have some technical knowledge about web development so this is not an issue. For other marketing people this could be a challenge. Of course they can use the cloud version. Documentation is an area to improve for Mautic. Especially for new features, One would expect a decent user guide to start with. **Recommendations to others considering Acquia Customer Data Platform:** With little tech support you can save hard $ in marketing automation. The process works well for company of all size.
