Let me explain it. The editor is so simple to use that even a person with zero knowledge can easily use it. No prior training is needed, which is the best part **What do you dislike about Acme Text Editor?** I don't like the user interface of the editor. I am assuming the team can work on it to make it more seamless and a bit colorful. This will enhance productivity as well. **What problems is Acme Text Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** The foremost problem which my team and I is resolving is working on a project that is based on C language. Being a small software, it opens in a speedy manner which is time-saving. ### 2. Of course this tool is used by experienced users and its interface is not friendly, but if you are an IT guy and you are familiar with command line, this editor is for you. Acme allows the use of mouse and keyboard shortcuts, also contains a combination of window system, shell and editor. this editor can also be used to read emails, yes, you read that, you can read emails using some of the functions included in the library. Spellchecker, a wiki interface are other functions available. I haven't gone through them enough but I know they are available. You can find a lot of information about this editor's features at their community -> http://acme.cat-v.org/ Of course if you have any questions or concerns, you can comment the review and I will try to help you as much as possible. **What do you dislike about Acme Text Editor?** At the beginning, it was very difficult for me to adapt to this text editor, I was a vi editor user for years so coming to this hybrid tool was kind of complicated at the beginning, but when I started learning the shortcuts and tricks about the tool I found it very useful and interactive. **Recommendations to others considering Acme Text Editor:** Take your time to understand the software. **What problems is Acme Text Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** In this particular case, I used this editor on my own, I was able to combine two different aspects I had to use separately: edit files and run programs. I was able to speed up my activities. ### 4. The windowed system it had was unparalleled at the time of its advent. It was also just plain cool to be able to say I work with "Acme". I have yet to revisit the port of Plan9 on RaspberryPi which sounds kind of cool. **What do you dislike about Acme Text Editor?** It involved using the mouse too much. I am more of a terminal guy and I would much prefer to be able to do things without ever lifting my fingers from the keyboard. Thus, a plain terminal sometimes suites me the best. **Recommendations to others considering Acme Text Editor:** At the moment I definitely would not recommend Acme, but back in the day, it was one hell of a toy. Right now, I would say close your eyes, scream, and run. Acme is plain dead. Even the port of Plan9 for other platforms hasn't really changed anything about Acme. **What problems is Acme Text Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** I did basically everything with Acme.
