**What do you like best about WooCommerce?**

I use WooCommerce for building ecommerce websites and it makes creating ecom websites easy. I love that product listing just works and payment gateways are available. It's been great and it's free and just works! The easy setup is a big plus, and I appreciate the ability to import products with details, even though we use a third-party plugin for this. It's a great option to have. WooCommerce being open source is amazing and the platform is very customizable. I've found it incredible that, so far, we haven't come across a business need we couldn't find a solution for. With several plugins, it's well coded, and I love that we can create our own solution if needed. It's amazing, we love WooCommerce! It's very plug and play unless you need customizations for specific business needs.

We use third party import to manage large ecom websites, if I could ask for a feature from woocommerce it would be this.. ability to import product details in bulk with advanced mapping / customization.

**What do you like best about WooCommerce?**

I love how WooCommerce blends seamlessly with WordPress, turning our existing site into a fully functional online store without needing to rebuild everything. The familiar layout and simple navigation make it comfortable to use daily, even without deep technical skills. I really appreciate its customizability; we can tweak product pages, adjust store layouts, set up custom categories, and choose from numerous compatible plugins to add features like customer reviews and discount coupons. It's affordable since the base plugin is free, which is vital for our small team, and we only pay for premium plugins when needed. WooCommerce also automates everyday operational tasks such as inventory tracking, sending order confirmation emails, calculating taxes, and managing shipping zone rules, which reduces manual busywork. Additionally, the built-in inventory management is exceptional, allowing real-time tracking of stock levels, automatic out-of-stock marking, and low-stock alerts, saving me time and preventing customer issues.

**What do you dislike about WooCommerce?**

For one, the overall site speed and performance can feel sluggish, especially once we add several plugins, lots of product images, and a large inventory list. As our product catalog grows, the backend dashboard loads slower, and sometimes product pages take noticeably longer for customers to load on mobile. It doesn’t crash entirely, but the lag is obvious, and it would be much better if WooCommerce was more optimized out of the box without needing extra speed-boosting plugins right away. Another downside is the native reporting and analytics being pretty basic. It gives simple sales numbers and basic order stats, but it lacks deeper built-in insights I’d actually use day-to-day—like detailed customer buying patterns, best-selling product breakdowns by category, or easy-to-read monthly trend charts. Right now I have to export data and organize it manually in spreadsheets to get clearer business insights, which adds extra routine work I wish the platform could handle natively.

**What problems is WooCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WooCommerce solves multiple core pain points for our small retail business and brings clear, practical benefits to our daily operations. It eliminates the need for expensive custom-built e-commerce websites and pricey monthly subscription store platforms, letting us build and run a fully functional online shop based on WordPress with much lower overall costs. WooCommerce centralizes all product listings, real-time inventory tracking, customer orders, and sales data in one unified dashboard, so we no longer rely on scattered spreadsheets or separate tools to manage daily business. It also simplifies compliance with German local tax regulations, regional shipping rules, and multiple payment method setups, avoiding manual calculation errors and saving us plenty of administrative time. **What do you like best about WooCommerce?**

I like that WooCommerce enabled me to build a store with customizable plugins. It's valuable for integrating into an existing WordPress site that was relatively sensitive, especially for our needs of having a name your price option for donations. The plugins help us maximize revenue as some donors contribute more than others, which would otherwise not be possible. I appreciate that WooCommerce acts as a consolidated database for logging deliverables, even though most of our premiums are requested via donor box support pages.

**What do you dislike about WooCommerce?**

I think that WooCommerce's market share is lacking behind Shopify. And while it offers many of the same direct features like paying through link and having immediate support for Google and Apple Pay, it just isn't as familiar, a look and feel to the very acclimated Shopify audience out there on the web today. It took quite a while to set up, to be honest. I was building it into a store and into a web page that was not ready for it. I don't know that it was WooCommerce's fault. It took a long time either. Maybe the fact that I had to manually port over hundreds of products.

WooCommerce provides ready-made store integration with WordPress, solving integration challenges. It allows customizable plugins, supporting a name-your-price model for donations, maximizing revenue. It also acts as a consolidated database, logging donor activities efficiently.

**What do you like best about WooCommerce?**

What I like most about WooCommerce is its flexibility and the total control it offers over the online store, especially when compared to more closed SaaS solutions.

From a professional perspective in ecommerce and SEM, I highly value that it is built on WordPress, which allows for a very broad integration with SEO, analytics, and digital marketing tools without relying on ecosystem limitations. This makes it easier to optimize traffic acquisition (both organic and paid) in a very granular way.

Its ecosystem of plugins also stands out: you can adapt practically any functionality (checkout, product feeds, advanced tracking, automations) to the client's needs, which is key when managing accounts from different sectors.

**What do you dislike about WooCommerce?**

What I like least about WooCommerce is that, although it is very flexible, that same flexibility can become a source of technical complexity and maintenance.

In real ecommerce projects, especially when scaling catalogs, traffic, or functionalities, it is common to rely on multiple third-party plugins. This can lead to compatibility issues, conflicts between updates, and a certain fragility of the environment if not managed carefully.

Its main weakness is that it requires a higher level of continuous technical management to keep it stable and scalable.

**What do you like best about WooCommerce?**

I like the strong community support with WooCommerce, where I can always ask questions on forums or Reddit if something goes wrong or if I’m unsure about how to make things work. The flexibility is another big plus, allowing me to tweak and adjust as needed. WooCommerce works "out of the box," meaning as soon as I activate the plugin in the WordPress dashboard, it's ready to go without having to worry about hosting requirements. I appreciate that many other apps have native support for WooCommerce, so I don't have to develop payment gateway or shipping plugins from scratch. Additionally, I really enjoy that WooCommerce is free, making it a cost-effective option. The initial setup was easy too—I just had to install and activate the plugin, plus I used another plugin to import products from my Excel file.

Debugging is hard because it's part of the WordPress ecosystem, and often a third-party plugin might be causing issues. You need moderate PHP knowledge and a lot of time to find what is wrong. There are no easy ways to fix things. Although they offer a dedicated debug log, there should be a log analyzer or a plugin/theme conflicts exposer.

It feels clunky and a bit outdated, especially with subscriptions and reporting. I do wish it was a better platform, both from a user interface as well as from a perspective of setting up, analytics, and management of product. It feels that it is not keeping up with the times

WooCommerce is great in that it runs automatically. It's a good bit of work on the front end, putting all of our products on the store with information, prices, etc, but after that, it runs itself. The integration it has with USPS shipping makes it super easy and user friendly to fulfill online orders and get real time responses about how much shipping costs, how long it will take to arrive, etc. The pricing is fair and comparable to other options.

**What do you dislike about WooCommerce?**

Sometimes it can be difficult to understand the forward facing features of WooCommerce. Oftentimes, we have to seek out help to understand how to edit our system or make changes on the back end.

It's very typical. Not suitable for larger companies or company with large no. Of products. Limitations are there for some features. Each pluggings will cost additional.

I think the performance of WooCommerce needs active management. Also, the initial setup was surprisingly easy but a bit deceptive. It feels like it's done before it actually is, and while 'deceptive' might sound harsh, it just seems that a lot of pieces are still shallow or default.

It's very flexible and customizable. A Lot of third-party plugins are available that I can use to extend the features as per my requirements. The Best Part is it's plug-and-play; I can start using WooCommerce within a few Hours. Additionally, A Wide range of third-party tools or SaaS software can be integrated, such as Zoho CRM, Zoho Billing, and Payment Gateways like Stripe and PayPal. It's one of the best and easiest-to-use self-hosted eCommerce platforms. Suitable for selling Digital as well as Physical Goods.

Sometimes it becomes heavy and slows down the website, hindering the user experience. The Checkout experience is neither quick nor the best, which is critical for any e-commerce software. Not so good for B2B eCommerce.

WooCommerce helps me keep product data in sync with Salesforce. When I create a product in Salesforce, it automatically appears in WooCommerce, saving manual effort. However, I had to customize the integration to avoid instantly removing product images from WooCommerce when they're removed in Salesforce attachments

I like how easy it is to use WooCommerce. The themes it has are really useful for customizing my own website. With just a few clicks, I can start selling online. I can also edit every aspect of the theme and my website, which makes the platform very easy to use, even more so than Shopify. The initial setup was very easy, with just a few clicks I was already selling in a couple of hours.

I think that when you start having a lot of sales and many orders, WooCommerce does not have, for example, the necessary metrics to display. Other types of platforms are much more accurate in terms of the data and metrics they show.

WooCommerce makes it easy for me to host my website quickly and create a beautiful ecommerce brand. Its ease of use and customization with just a few clicks allowed me to start selling in hours.

The community support is outstanding, as a large user base across the globe means common problems are often pre-solved, and solutions are readily available. The plugin's architecture allows for easy extension through plugins or custom code, which caters to specific business needs and ensures compatibility with updates without breaking the system. WooCommerce's ability to integrate smoothly with ERP systems, CRM systems, and major marketplaces like Amazon and eBay is beneficial, as it allows inventory synchronization via plugins. The setup process is user-friendly, involving downloading from the WordPress plugin library and following simple prompts, making it accessible for new users.

**What do you dislike about WooCommerce?**

One challenge with WooCommerce is the potential for security vulnerabilities due to its open-source nature. Since the source code is openly accessible, the attack surface is exposed, which could allow security issues to be exploited across many stores if they arise. But that said, parent company is really good and they actively maintain it. Additionally, if store designers are not careful, the use of excessive plugins can slow down the store significantly.

I use WooCommerce to build websites for online shopping, leveraging its open-source model for ease in starting new web shops, integrating payment gateways, and receiving order updates, all supported by a strong community.
