"Real-Time Insights and Interactive Dashboards Elevate Analytics"
What do you like best about Looker?

I like how its interactive dashboards provide real-time drill-downs, ad-hoc queries, and access to row-level details on governed data. This enables us to gain quick insights and make decisions directly within our applications through embedded analytics. The graphical representations also help us clearly understand the details of our data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

Looker is a great app, but it uses its own modeling language, which can make it somewhat complex for new or non-technical users to learn. If Looker offered an easier learning guide, it would help users overcome this challenge. Aside from that, Looker is impressive overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Putting our analytics under one roof - Looker helped us bake it, not just stir it."
What do you like best about Looker?

What impressed me first is how Looker let us model our metrics once (using LookML) and the let everyone, from engineers to product leads to content folks use those same canonical definitions. The consistency cut down "which report has the right number?" arguments. The "self-service" fron-end and business users was a win: Once the data team defined the model, product/marketing folks could explore and build their own dashboards without needing to learn SQL - accelerating insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

While self-service aspect is strong onboarding non-technical users still required training: concepts like "views", "explores", "joins" are slightly abstract and some stakeholders got frustrated with what does this drop-down actually mean, moments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent for Data Exploration Once You Get Past the Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Looker?

I like that Looker makes it easy to explore and understand data. LookML helps keep reports and metrics consistent, and the connection with Google Cloud makes managing data smoother. I also like that you can dig into the details right from dashboards to find insights quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

Looker can be hard to learn at first, especially with LookML. Some charts and visuals are limited, and it can slow down with big datasets. The interface isn’t always friendly for beginners, and setup usually needs help from a developer. Better self-service guides would also make it easier to get started. "Transforms Data into Actionable Insights"
What do you like best about Looker?

I use Looker to analyze data across multiple sources and turn it into clear, actionable insights. I like how it makes complex data both accessible and actionable, and with custom dashboards and visualizations, I can see only the metrics and trends that I need, making it easier to monitor performance. It helps me create dashboards and build reports to track performance and monitor KPIs, which is great for answering business questions without needing constant support from data teams. This makes telling a compelling story with data for strategic conversations in sales a lot easier. Looker also solves the problem of fragmented and hard-to-access data by bringing everything into a single, trusted source of truth, eliminating the need to manually pull data from various tools or rely on ad hoc reports, saving time and reducing errors. I appreciate being able to pull up-to-date reports without waiting for manual exports or data teams to support, which ensures decisions are based on current information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

There's a bit of a learning curve at first, which can require a bit more education upfront to maximize all of its capabilities. In addition, some reports or dashboards can load a bit slower when working with very large data sets, which can sometimes cause delays if pressed for time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Looker: Seamless Reporting and Customization"
What do you like best about Looker?

I use Looker Studio to create visual reports for my clients and projects. It helps me create very interactive and easy-to-understand reports with various charts, graphs, and scorecards. I like its super easy, keen, and customizable interface. I also appreciate that it allows using offline data like Excel as a data source for making reports. It's a free tool, so there's no need for an official email or any subscription. The ability to visualize offline data by using different types of data built into CSV or Excel to create reports, dashboards, and summaries makes Looker Studio one of the most valuable report-building tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

I don't like that Looker doesn't allow direct connections to LinkedIn, Meta, or Facebook and requires external vendors for this, unlike Google platforms which can connect without any external subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Looker at work for pulling reports from our database to find orders and create dashboards for other teams. I really appreciate how Looker makes sharing reports easier while keeping sensitive information confidential. It also eliminates the problem of manual reporting. The self-service analytics are so easy that non-technical users can explore data and filter without needing to write SQL, which makes it easy to manage. For people not used to reporting or dealing with a lot of numbers, Looker makes the data more defined and easier to read and review. Creating queries is a piece of cake for me. "Flexible, User-Friendly Analytics with Some Diagnostic Hiccups"
What do you like best about Looker?

I use Looker to analyze our website data, and I'm really happy with it. I appreciate how it's able to create nice visuals and reports that fit our needs. I like the flexibility and the visual customizations it provides, plus the user-friendliness of the platform stands out. The ability to share reports with the team is great, and I especially find value in the customization of data that I can do on my own, like viewing data within a specific time frame. The initial setup was easy, not too hard at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

Sometimes when I get an error or empty data, the reason isn't shown, and I have to figure out the issue myself. It would be nice to have an indication or suggestion for replacing it with other data input. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It was a decent product for analytics reporting"
What do you like best about Looker?

Looker is a highly convenient tool for anyone looking to begin their analytics journey. It makes it simple and even enjoyable to compare different user journeys across various stages. While working as a product analytics engineer and reporting on digital sales journeys, I found it much easier to use. The drag-and-drop functionality allowed me to quickly create the reporting dashboards I needed within minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

Integrating with platforms outside the Google ecosystem can sometimes be a bit challenging. While there are various methods to address and overcome these issues, the process often takes longer to set up. I have also noticed that if your flows are not properly optimized, you might experience latency problems. On several occasions, I found it quite inconvenient to wait for the data to load on the dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the centralized dashboards and the ability to share real-time insights easily, which helps teams make faster, data-driven decisions. Looker provides reliable dashboards, centralized data, and powerful analytics, making it easy to share insights across teams. I also appreciate how easy the initial setup was, allowing us to create basic dashboards quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?
