"Easy to Use, All-in-One Case Management with Intuitive Navigation"
5/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

Ease of use in general. It is very helpful being able to have everything needed in cases all in one places. The different tabs make it very easy to navigate the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

One compliant I have had over the years is that I would like a feature that allows leads to be created from previous contacts. When previous client's call about new cases and new lead is made, it creates an issue with being able to covert the new case due to duplicative contact information. And it also wouldn't make sense to create a new case from the previous client's contact information because if they don't retain or we don't take the case then it messes with our stats for conversion and closing of cases. "Makes Managing Cases and Clients So Much Easier"
5/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

8am MyCase has been extremely helpful for keeping track of all of our cases and case-related communication in one place. We use the Proof integration for service of process, which makes it simple and convenient to transmit documents directly to our process servers while maintaining an open line of communication through the messaging feature.

We also love being able to send retainer agreements, court filings, and other documents to our clients for electronic signatures directly through MyCase. Our clients find it much easier to use than DocuSign, which we previously used.

Another feature we really appreciate is the ability to text our clients directly through MyCase. It makes communication quick and convenient while keeping everything organized and helping ensure our clients stay on the same page with us throughout their case.

Overall, MyCase has made managing our cases, documents, and client communication much more streamlined and efficient. It has become an invaluable tool for our office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Buyer beware - NOTHING is better than getting this, at least you will save money"

What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

If it worked as it is supposed to, the integration would be great, but it does not. The lawpay and the VXT integrations are glitchy at best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

The support is horrible, they are trying to force a text only policy by having absurd waiting times. I am currently on hold right now, and it's been 36 minutes. They have also outsourced their support to folks who it is very difficult to understand, and who do not understand the system theirselves, I guess that's another way of forcing text if you wait a long time and the rep doesn't speak english an cannot resolve the issue. Also, they are very sneaky with the pricing. It started at $300 a month, now I am paying $514 and it's been 18 months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Case Management with Room for Customization"
4.5/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

I find 8am MyCase very intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple to find the information I need. I also like that it can be shared across the network with everyone in my firm, which is really handy. Additionally, the ability to run time reports on cases helps us predict turnaround times and ensure that nothing is delayed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

There's certain report features I wish were a little bit easier to use. I wish there were a little bit more customization, particularly when it comes to the dashboard feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MyCase Keeps Our Small Law Firm Organized and on Track"
5/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

MyCase gives our firm one central place to manage case information, documents, communications, deadlines, notes, and tasks. As a small personal injury firm handling many active matters, it is especially helpful to be able to review a file and quickly see what has been completed, what is still outstanding, and what needs follow-up.

The task-management features are a major benefit. We use them to track records requests, treatment status, demand preparation, litigation deadlines, and other important follow-ups. MyCase helps reduce the risk that something will be overlooked when a file is not physically in front of us.

The platform is generally intuitive, and the ability to document activity within each matter creates a clear history that both the attorney and staff can review. It has become an important part of our daily workflow. MyCase provides strong value for the cost. It helps our small firm stay organized, track deadlines and follow-ups, and manage each matter from one central location. The time it saves—and the peace of mind that important tasks are less likely to be overlooked—makes it well worth the investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

Some features require additional steps or customization to fit the way our firm handles personal injury cases. More flexibility in creating matter-specific workflows, reports, and task-management views would make the platform even stronger. Overall, however, the benefits far outweigh these limitations. "Easy-to-Use Platform with Seamless Payments and Reliable Performance"
4/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

The software is very easy to use, and the seamless integration with payments, including client portal access, is highly advantageous for my clients. The payment system, along with the accounting module and trust accounting, has also been very helpful for my solo practice. Compared with other platforms, it seems to understand exactly what I need without making things too complicated.

The performance is quite good. They are upgrading the interface, but I have never experienced any downtime or similar issues. The pricing is well aligned with the market. They do provide the service, and the system performs exactly as expected at a reasonable price.

The support and onboarding were quite good. The individual who brought me on board was very helpful in resolving small issues, such as connecting my bank account. Although it does have AI features, I have only used them a couple of times. I do not generally use them, but it is nice to have them available when I want to explore them further. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

Sometimes I run into issues when transferring specific tasks between different cases. There are times I want to split tasks up for clients, but I end up having to do it manually. Importing also feels quite basic at the moment, although they do say they’re moving forward with improvements. On top of that, API access is locked behind a more expensive tier. "Useful for Case Management but Lacks Customization"
4.5/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

I like being able to manage my time with 8am MyCase and see over a week how much time I'm spending on billing. It's also handy for sending documents to clients for e-signatures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

I have a few issues with 8am MyCase. I wish I could change some of the dashboards because I don't always need to see the outstanding invoices for the entire firm, and as a partner, a lot of that isn't really my business or concern. Also, during our initial setup, a lot of our old files weren't transferred over, which was kind of a bummer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sarah Schneider of 8am MyCase

Hi Charlotte, thank you for your review and your feedback! We've got good news—in case you haven't seen it yet, we do now have dashboard customization in MyCase. Feel free to learn more by visiting the support center article linked below.

"MyCase Review from an Operations Manager's Perspective"
5/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

I like the centralized communication features. Having the integrations that allow e-mails, client communications, and calls linked to cases is awesome, everything is in the same place. I also like the billing and payment tracking - a huge part of my job involves invoicing, collecting, retainer management, and account balances. I appreciate being able to see financial information without having to bounce between applications. I LOVE the workflow feature - it makes it easier to keep up with our cases, making sure everything stays on task. The activity feature along with status updates tied to users is especially helpful in tracking timelines on cases and who in our office touched it last. The client portal could use some upgrading but I like that we can share documents and tasks with clients. As far as performance the system is consistent, I can't think of very many times it was down. Pricing - I believe it is worth the price. I'm not happy that a feature we used is now considered "legacy" and we would have to pay more to use a feature you previously offered as included. Support for the system can sometimes be a little slow when needing a quick answer but I'm sure that is something being worked on. I don't use the AI/Intelligence feature that often but the few times I have used it it was a bit clunky. I prefer ChatGPT for AI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

There are random glitches that can be annoying, but I always report them to support. I wish our clients could initiate matters/upload documents or conversations without having to link it to a case. I think the portal is pretty basic. I don't think this software was created for attorneys who handle evictions and have a lot of cases from the same clients, but we make it work for us. "Reliable for Case Management, Needs More Legal Focus"
4/5
What do you like best about 8am MyCase?

I've been using 8am MyCase since 2023, and it has been a lifesaver. My clients love that they can log on and securely view documents and see what is going on with their cases. I enjoy that it has macros that let me set up procedures for calendaring and tasks. The ability to remotely access files is great, and I appreciate the seamless integration with Dropbox. Clients can upload documents to Dropbox, and they automatically appear in MyCase, which is incredibly convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

I'd like it to have more employment law focused areas that I did not have to build out. Deadlines could be set for each case. For example, I file an employment case, it could automatically populate tasks for service, then initial disclosures, then discovery, then depositions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the ease of integration, ease of use, ease of implementation, and the amount of features that this system offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?

One thing I dislike about mycase is that my clients are only able to upload one document at a time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
