What do you like best about 7shifts?

What do you like best about 7shifts?

7shifts makes it extremely easy to schedule, make last-minute changes, communicate between departments, time off requests and availability. All user-friendly and extremely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 7shifts?

There have been technical difficulties in the past, where we get logged out and have trouble logging back in. I also regularly need to change my notification settings back and forth to get them working again. All downsides are tech-related. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about 7shifts?

Announcements: Ability to send to specific departments and get read receipts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Over time alerts: Some of our employees work over time every week. I want to be able to set different caps for different people. And when we do get alerts, we get them every time they clock in. We only need one alert. Otherwise, with 30 employees always working over time, that's too many notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering 7shifts:

From what I hear from head office, 7shifts isn't cheap, and is pretty much an industry (food and beverage) standard. So if you are looking for something that will for sure works and have the budget for it, I'd say go for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is 7shifts solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've been using Excel to make schedules before this and now that we have it, staffs can easily submit their availabilities and that allows us to quickly form up a schedule. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not great for managing schedules"

What do you like best about 7shifts?

it's a schedule system that has an app for free Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 7shifts?

It doesn't have request off rules. Staff can request to pick up a shift even if they are scheduled that day so every time I need to check if they are actually scheduled or not. When the staff requests off it shows the date of the request off but not the day of the week. It seems I need to take several additional steps to ensure the management of the staff scheduling, instead of making it easier Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about 7shifts?

7shifts has been a very user-friendly tool to use! It has been really easy to train our new managers on the system. The app is great for managing the team remotely as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think that the biggest opportunity for the app would be to add the ability for screen rotation. Right now you can only view the app if you are holding your phone vertically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
