## 1Password Reviews
 ### 1. Decent software, horrible for business.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

Generally the app works fairly well for end-users who are fairly technically competent.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

From an IT and administration perspective, this software is horrible to administer. 1Password lacks very basic admin functionality that are present in most B2B software including bulk actions, important reporting, automation, and transfer of employee data at end of employment. Administrators doing basic tasks on the website have to enter their password to perform basically any action. You cannot open multiple tabs of the software without being asked to enter your password. It makes doing anything task for a business extremely slow.

From a security perspective, 1Password is good as far as its own application security, but it enables end users to do too easily do insecure things (e.g. sharing credentials and passwords they shouldn't be able to share without any way to limit them)

From an end-user perspective, 1Password is extremely difficult for end users to get setup, maintain and use. With significant difficulties whenever they change devices and forget their password. The Windows experience is significantly worse than the mac and most of our windows users have given up completely on using this software, which just wastes our money.

Their support is the worst I have experienced from any company ever. They do not pickup their phone and they are extremely slow to answer their emails. They basically will not escalate any issues to anyone beyond level one support and are exteremly dismissive about major issues.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Password management

**Official Response from Timothy Watkins:**

> Hi there, thanks for taking the time to share this feedback regarding your experience with 1Password. I'm very sorry to hear you encountered a number of issues while running things from the admin side. What you described is certainly not the experience we strive to provide from end-user, to admin, to support.

With 1Password for Business there are a number of options for reporting, managing team policies, managing item sharing, automations and more. That said, I can certainly understand that these options may not have been surfaced, or have been quite the right fit for your organization. My apologies again for any trouble here.

We're always interested in offering any support we can provide, as well as receiving actionable feedback. If you'd like to share more about any issues you've encountered and explore options to resolve them, we would love the opportunity to connect with you. **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

I've been using 1Password for the past 8 months, and it has become an essential tool in my daily work as a product support professional. I regularly log in to various tools and manage access to shared credentials across the organization. 1Password provides me with the perfect solution for managing access, setting validity periods, and organizing credentials by group or team.

The 1Password widget is a particularly wonderful feature, simplifying many tasks.

Overall, I would give 1Password a 4.9 out of 5 for its fantastic design, functionality, and cost-effectiveness. Thank you for delivering such a well-designed and practical tool!

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

The 1Password widget, when there are over 100 credentials in the dropdown, it can sometimes be a bit cumbersome to navigate.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1Password helps me efficiently manage and access a large number of credentials across various tools that I use in my product support role. It solves the problem of securely storing and sharing credentials within the organization by providing a seamless way to organize them by group or team. The ability to set access controls and validity periods for shared credentials ensures proper security and management, saving me time and reducing the risk of unauthorized access. This greatly enhances my workflow by making it easier to log in to different systems quickly and securely.

Customer service is terrible, like unbelievably bad for paid subscribers. Confusing to set up.

1Password is a password manager with a browser extension and mobile app. It creates, stores, and fills passwords and other information.

**Reviewed by:** Gurleen S. | Founder's Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

What I really like about 1Password is how easy it is to keep all your passwords and personal info locked up tight but still easy to access when you need them. It's all about making your online life more secure without the headache. We are still using it on daily basis. Plus its very easy to add people to the team.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

So far, there's no major challenge with 1Password that stands out significantly. It seems to do its job well, keeping your passwords and personal info safe without any glaring issues.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1Password solves the problem of remembering multiple passwords and the risk of using weak or repeated ones. It also reduces the stress of forgotten passwords and streamlines the login process for various websites.

 ### 14. Forced to migrate and it was so easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda A. | Director, Enterprise Program Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

Modern interface, meets strict infosec requirements, Okta integration, excellent customer support, volume pricing, very simple migration path.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

Default roles are a bit confusing for my use case but I just need to call and talk to my onboarding specialist not a deal breaker by any means.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As per infosec requirement I needed to move my entire company from a password vault they had been using for a decade to 1Password. The prospect of this migration produced a great deal of anxiety throughout the company. 1Password insprired confidence by providing a clear migration path that enabled me to make the move with little to no disruption to the business.

**Official Response from Timothy Watkins:**

> Hello Amanda! Thanks for taking the time to share this glowing review. We're excited to hear how seamless the migration process was for you and your team!

 ### 15. Great Product, Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

We've used LastPass for years and was very happy with it until we decided to look elsewhere. 1Password's features are well and above our old product, it's easy to use, and after deploying to the whole of the company we've had very little push back / technical queries.

Onboarding was great, our onboarding rep was more than happy to spend time with us answering any question - no matter how small. We received Product demos, admin training, and because we were able to qualify, a training session for the whole company.

Using SSO has reduced friction and allowed us to implement with very little effort.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

Only one thing I dislike and that is the inability to set some defaults via a central policy, for instance it would be good to be able to set a maximum timeout on the company vaults.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a way to share some credentials with outside entities and that is what drew us to 1Password. What made us choose it was it's granularity, ease of use, and features such as being able to share entire vaults with guests - this is useful when, for instance, we change our support providers and credentials for systems needs to be shared securely.

**Official Response from Timothy Watkins:**

> Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to share your experience using 1Password. We strive to provide top-notch support and usability here at 1Password, so it is great to hear how smooth onboarding has been at your organization, and how frictionless it has been for your users.

We're always interested in amplifying customer's success with 1Password. If we haven't had the opportunity to connect with you already, we would love the chance to hear more about how you and your team utilize 1Password, as well as any issues or product insights around central policies. **Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

i've been using 1password for a few months now as the subscription is provided by my university and i use it for all university related works. It has a great interface and having apps and extentions makes it really easy to keep my passwords secure and accesaable. It's really easy to setup and use on diffrent paltform and it was an easy process to import my passwords form other software managers for easier integration to my work flow

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

nothing really the only thing that bugs me a little bit is it keeps loging out after a while but i understand this is for security reasons

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 17. intuitive password manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

can also store other information, like notes, credit cards, software licenses

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

the web interface still seems to require an internet connection

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

password generator, password manager

**Official Response from Timothy Watkins:**

> Hi there! Thanks for your review. It's great to hear how helpful 1Password has been in securely storing a wide variety of information for you. If there's anything we can help with, please feel free to get in touch with the 1Password team. Thanks again!

 ### 18. Love the Service Overall & Latest Improvements Have Been Great

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

Able to easily store all login credentials in a single place; for the most part, 1Password intelligently autofills passwords for a variety of websites and applications and easily keeps credentials synced across multiple devices.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

It would be nice to be able to more easily distinguish "personal" accounts from "work" accounts since I am currently using 1Password for both. Occasionally (depending on the website or application in question), it is also difficult to update login information when changing passwords, but for the preponderance of websites, it's relatively easy to use.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am trying to move all my account logins to a single password manager and 1Password has been very helpful for that.

**Official Response from Timothy Watkins:**

> Hi there! Thanks for sharing your experience with 1Password. It's great to hear how helpful 1Password has been centralizing your account logins, and syncing them across your devices.

We recently introduced clearer naming conventions and delineations between employee vaults, used at work, an personal vaults used at home. You can find more in the blog post I've linked to below.

 ### 19. 1Password helps us both to secure products we use, and our people

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michal . | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

We're using the Business edition of 1Password and it seems like it was designed by some fine folks that are using it for business as well. From recovering accounts because users lost their secret keys or forgot their passwords, to looking up who has used this company card to buy concert tickets (the user said it was accidentally and we've believed them), to sharing passwords, there is a feature that have always helped us.

Talking to business or support people has always been like talking to a friend, and I mean it, I remember once we started the call talking about our LEGO sets. Unfortunately, you don't need to talk to them very often :-) I also like that there's a free family account as part of the business account, so that employees can use the tool also to secure their own accounts, and families. That's why I like to call it "securing our people", not just "securing our employees".

It's also nice that 1Password, the company, publishes a quite detailed security whitepaper. By reading it, you can always learn about how this or that feature is implemented, how come you can actually recover an account and nerdy things like that. I think it's part of being an open company, which I've always valued being a 1Password customer.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

I don't really think these are the things we, or I, dislike as such, it's more of "this would be nice to have".

Sometimes it's difficult to explain to users that there are just one too many apps to install for the best experience. There's the desktop app (and if you're a Mac user, there's version 8 which is not in the app store unfortunately), then the browser extension which is very useful and I always recommend it installing but it requires the desktop app from time to time, and if you don't have the desktop app, then you end up in the web app. It took me, the administrator, a while to recognize what's on the screenshot the user sent me.

1Password can be used to share passwords with external parties, which is a very nice feature, but it would also be nice if it could be used to share passwords in the opposite direction: when we'd like the external partner to send us the password directly to a vault. Maybe it could be built with the API or something, but I'd like our users to have a feature as easy to use, as the password sharing.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sure people have strong and unique passwords, and if they don't, they can and should use 1Password for multifactor authentication with integrated backup. We can enforce or require multifactor authentication in all internal tools because we can also provide a tool our people can use for that, we just don't leave them alone.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Hi Michal,

Thanks so much for leaving us a review. We're so happy you've had such great experiences with our Support team - we strive to bring the best we can to our users and it's wonderful to know we're doing a good job.

Have a great day!

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

The ability to store a variety of logins and create different access vaults.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

It lags a bit and when passive for a certain time, it kicks you out, so have to login or re-authenticate.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are brand agnostic, therefore, our brands are integrated with a certain number of applications and softwares that we use daily.

**Official Response from Timothy Watkins:**

> Hello Tomas! Thanks for taking the time to review 1Password. It's great to hear how helpful 1Password has been to store logins, and manage access across vaults.

 ### 22. Quick, Secure and Easy to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liam D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

Simple Account creation on websites with super secure passwords generated. I use it constantly with any new website. Unifiys my passwords and makes it easy to change passwords over as I run into old accounts I need to secure.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

Setup can be daunting and keeping your secure key for each computer takes time to set up. But when its all together it flows really well. App can only really store passwords for Mac. No autofilling like on PC but thats apple for you.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This unifys my users passwords and keeps everything together for consistent high use logins. Nice and organized.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Hi Liam,

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re so glad to hear you’re enjoying 1Password, and we really appreciate you letting us know!

 ### 23. Amazing cli integration for dev teams; Non-profit support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

The ability to integrate 1password with our dev environment through their CLI tools is amazing. Our dev teams can easily set credentials through biometric authentication (e.g. touch ID) making it easier for our teams to pull down projects and get them running locally.

Their support for non-profits like ours is appreciated. Any business that doesn't have discounted rates for non-profits in 2024 is behind the times.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

Sometimes I just want to generate a random password without all the log in stuff. It would be nice to have that as a little feature (e.g. a password without a username).

Another feature that would be good is the ability to create credentials and add them to a colleague's personal private vault. That makes is easier and more secure to onboard new employees e.g. creating AWS creds for new people.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1Password makes it easier to manage credentials for infrastructure, repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and local developer environments.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Hi there,

Thanks so much for the wonderful review. We're so glad to hear you're enjoying our CLI integrations for your non-profit!

You can always generate a random password using our online password generator here: https://1password.com/password-generator/

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manish S. | QA, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

The bestest thing is we can easily store all the passwords at one place without any hesitation.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

The thing is that passwords are kinda confidential so just a feedback that the 2fa part can be more secure

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving basic problem of remembering multiple passwords.

**Official Response from Timothy Watkins:**

 ### 26. Lots of things have stopped working reliably

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

Doesn't corrupt data, haven't lost data.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

Bizarre game of hot potato navigating between a webapp (website), Chrome extension, and desktop app is necessary to get work done.

Accessing information in vault from Chrome extension suddenly requires 10 seconds for no reason.

Mistyping the password a couple times seems to cause master password not to be accepted anymore (?). I had to get a workplace recovery done.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remembering separate logins.

**Official Response from Timothy Watkins:**

> Hi there, thanks for taking the time to share your experience using 1Password. The behavior you described with 1Password in the browser, the 1Password desktop app, as well as signing into your account certainly doesn't sound right, and I'm sorry for any trouble this has caused.

The team here at 1Password would be happy to help resolve any issues. You can reach out to your account executive, or send us an email at support@1password.com

the robust direction of the software, we have using 1password for approximately 15 years now and it has evolved greatly over that period. The increased security we have is achieved by the simple onboarding and use for each new team member

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

 ### 30. Ensure your privacy and manage all credentials security.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David Alejandro C. | Desktop and network consultant, Information Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

1Password is easy to use and manage all your credentials. Share credentials into vaults and enforce your organization into the privacy practices. All employes can handle the tool and make the data safer. We use this tool everyday in everyplace and the deployment is easy than ever

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

Nothing at all, 1Password is so intuitive.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Secure the data privacy of our employes and privacy of the critical credentials of the organization. Also sharing credentials is easier than ever.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Hi David,

Thanks for the review. We're so glad you're enjoying 1Password and love hearing how your employees are using it daily with ease!

 ### 31. A great option for storing private data and keeping your digital life secure and organized.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dany D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

I like that It allows me to store and manage not only passwords (although it does that very well) but also other sensitive data such as API keys, DB credentials, as well as secure notes and recovery phrases. All of which Im able to access using a single master password, biometric authentication or a physical usb storage key. Its a super convenient way to store private information. Anouther feature I enjoy using is the CLI plugins. These allow you to work with things like SSH keys, git credentials and ENV variables stored in the app, directly in the terminal.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

The only downside I can think of is sometimes the app doesn't recognize certain website login fields automatically, so I have to manually add them. It's a minor inconvenience, but nothing too bothersome.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I no longer struggle to remember countless complex passwords, and I've let go of the nagging fear of a security breach. It's not just about passwords, though. It's a great tool for managing all sensitive data in a digital project.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re so glad you’re enjoying the endless options for storing items in 1Password that make your workflow that much easier!

 ### 32. 1Password has made managing my passwords and online security incredibly convenient and worry-free.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrei L. | Systems Developer, Semiconductors, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

The best thing about the 1Password app is its exceptional password management and security features, which provide a seamless and highly secure way to store and autofill passwords across all my devices.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

The least appealing aspect of the 1Password app is its subscription-based pricing model, which can be relatively costly for users who require advanced features, like secure document storage or advanced multi-user functionality.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First, 1Password solves me is Data Breaches because it notifies users about data breaches involving websites they have accounts with, allowing them to take quick action to protect their accounts. Next, Security Concerns, the app addresses security concerns by generating strong, unique passwords for each account and by storing them in an encrypted vault. This prevents users from using weak or repetitive passwords. Lastly, Convenience, Users benefit from the convenience of automatically filling in passwords on websites and apps, saving time and effort.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re so glad you’re having such a positive experience with 1Password, and really appreciate you letting us know where we could improve. 😊

Have a great day!

 ### 33. Overly complicated

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

Supposedly it's a safe way to store passwords, but the usage itself is too complicated.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

Absolutely one of the worst password managers I ever used, and only continue to use it because it's mandated by the company I work on. To login, you must have both the Chrome extension and the Windows app, and one is dependent on the other, which means having to switch over from one to another for no reason back and forth, taking up time that could be better spent actually using the password and moving on with your tasks. To login for the first time you need to add a pass-code which never arrives, and again having to switch back and forth between the extension and windows app.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Password storage

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're not enjoying 1Password. The app and browser extension are meant to run in tandem - meaning one can run in the background while you're using the other - to create the most seamless experience. We'd love to take a look at your devices and setup to ensure everything is working as it should - if you send us an email at support@1password.com, we'd be happy to get things running properly.

 ### 34. 1Password is the Key to Intuitive Security and Convenience!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole C. | CEO & Founder, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

With a suite of browser extensions for my most-used web browsers, a speedy mobile app featuring FaceID for enhanced convenience, and the ability to categorize passwords and store various information, 1Password is my all-in-one security and organization solution for both personal and professional use.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

Though I'm a fan of 1Password, there are a few areas where it does fall a little short for me. These include the limited flexibility in login frequency options, the somewhat complex external sharing process, and certain restrictions on the family plan.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1Password has become my go-to solution for addressing a range of critical concerns. It ensures the strength and complexity of all my passwords, simplifies the process of updating them without the fear of forgetting, safeguards my business and personal information, and elevates the security of data sharing to a whole new level.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

 ### 35. 1Password is great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

1Password allows me to use my brain for other things rather than having to remember passwords. It's super easy to save passwords in your vaults. Then you can use them on your computer and mobile devices. IT's super easy to add the plug-in to your browsers.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

Shared vaults and sharing passwords could be easier to search and manage. I would love to see a better help portal.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In a world where you need a password for everything and the hackers are so tenacious, 1Password can create extremely secure passwords to ensure your data is secure. Being in IT Admin and Support, having a single place to store and share passwords with my team is paramount

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Hi there,

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re so glad to hear you’re enjoying the ease of 1Password, and we really appreciate you letting us know where we could improve. We're always available at support@1password.com should you have any questions or concerns.

 ### 36. Invaluable security and convenience tool for business and personal user

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vladimir J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

I have bee using 12Password for Business for over 6 years. I love:
1. easy of use
2. secure syncing in real time betwene devices
3. browser add-ons that protects me against phishing websites by filling login details only to a correct site (it won't be fooled by unicode characters)
4. sharing of items in my password vault with other people on my terms
5. 1Password Business gives me free Family licence completely secure from my Business
6. Integration to terminal apps to store anduse ssh keys (no more private keys on file system!)
7. excellent and knowlegeable customer support
8. Support for Passkeys which means Passkeys work cross ecosystems (no lock into to Google, Apple or Microsoft!)

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

There is really not much not to like about 1Password. If I had to be picky I have to mention:
1. Unlike on Macos and Windows, on iPad and iPhone I cannot select the default vaul to save items into. (have not tried this on Android).
2. Sometimes the automated filling of details does not work on some website.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Security of my secrets (mainly passwords) - this means I can have very complex passwords which are unique for each website. This would be impossible without a password manager like 1Password

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Hey Vladimir! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us such an awesome review. We’re so glad you’ve had such a positive experience with 1Password and really appreciate you letting us know. 😊

 ### 37. Great Secruity just in 1 Click

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zhiwen Z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

By using 1Password, you can generate, store and manage all your credentials easily and securly. You can even sync and use Passkey, which is the best alternative of passwords and 2-factor authentication. Besides, it can act as SSH agent to sync and use your SSH keys, without set a secret phase for your SSH keys and just use biometric methods to authenticate application (git clients, SSH, etc.) to use your SSH key, which is why I stuck on 1Password.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

1Passwor requires syncing your credentials by cloud, which is not a good pratice for the people who has high requirements of privacy. I will very plesent if they supports syncing across locally server (e.g. NAS or syncing across client-roled devices).

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generate a unique passwords, passkeys and credentials, and syncing across my multiple devices.

**Official Response from Blake Brandon:**

> Hey Zhiwen,

It’s so good to hear that you enjoy using 1Password; thank you for taking your time to let us know about how we're make your workflow easier and more secure. Be sure to let us know if there's anything we can do to help down the road; we're here for you!

I don't need write and remind passwords again and again, 1password is enough for all your work. Customer support is very effective and gives fast solution. We are using daily in my company. 1password imlementation is very easy with other programs. 1password logs every change about password and we are seeing who did it. This is great for us. Thank you 1password team!

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

 ### 40. Peace of mind!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

I came to 1Password for the security but I stay for the UX. Being a citizen of the internet is just so much easier with this tool. Of course the peace of mind is 100% worth the price and I love the watchtower feature that alerts me to threats like data breaches. But the real reason to use 1Password is that navigating the Internet is so much less painful with it. I'm talking about the keyboard shortcuts, the integration with biometric identifiers, the easy storage and management of things like credit card numbers. I use 1Password for everything from sharing a sensitive API key to looking up my frequent flyer numbers when I'm buying a plane ticket and it makes these incredibly frictive processes smooth.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

I had to really dig deep to come up with something here. I'll say that the native apps can be a little clunkier -- I mainly use the in-line browser interfaces and the chrome extension. When I have to access something directly from the app (like, for example, when a website is disallowing the input from the chrome extension) it adds back some of that friction.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company doesn't use 1Password formally, but I still use it daily at work for password management on services that aren't going through Okta. In a hybrid working environment such as mine, having smooth handoffs between my personal mobile device and my work laptop is essential and 1Password is a big part of the bridge that enables this.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Thanks for leaving such a great review. We're so happy to hear you're enjoying all the features 1Password has to offer and that it makes your online experience so much smoother.

Have a great day!

 ### 41. Time to forget your passwords

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naeem P. | Head of Sales / Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

I run a digital marketing agency, and we have to keep track of a zillion passwords - not just ours, but those of our clients too. On top of that, we work with freelancers, so it is important to keep our clients' credentials safe. 1Password is the only way we can do that - spreadsheets don't offer the same flexibility and security. Best of all, I can have it on my phone and it's super easy to use (their autofill feature is kickass).

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

I'm so reliant on it now that I'm starting to forget all my passwords!

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Keeping track of all clients' credentials - each client shares with us credentials for over 5 platform that we manage for them.
2. Keeping track of all internal team tools - as a digital marketing agency, we have 25+ SaaS subscriptions that require shared logins.
3. Keeping the information guarded from freelancers that we work with - giving them limited access.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Hey Naeem, thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re so glad you’ve had such a positive experience with 1Password and really appreciate you letting us know. 😊

 ### 43. 1Password is easy to use for end users and easy to manage for IT

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rikin P. | IT Support Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

How easy it is to deploy to end users and to manage 1Password updates and Browser 1Password extension updates. 1Password is always offering new features such as SSO intregration with Okta. This makes it much easier for the folks manager 1Password and End users who only need to rememeber the Password to log into the SSO provider. 1Password Business plan offers the end user to have their personal accounts covered by 1Password as well which is great.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

I do wish the insights are more roburst. The switch between 1Password 7 and 1Password 8/ Teams was a bit more manual then I would have liked as end users would need handholding vs 1Password 7 making the on the computer vault into 1Password Teams.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1Password is solving our password sharing issues as well as password storing issues. It is easy to use by generating passwords. IT & Security do not need to worry about folks making up their own weak passwords and having to constatly doing password resets as 1Password can store all the passwords our users may need

**Official Response from Blake Brandon:**

> It’s so good to hear that you're enjoying using 1Password, Rikin!

Thank you for taking your time to leave us this glowing review, and sharing how our integration with Okta, and the ease of deploying updates to 1Password makes your workflow more secure. It's always great to here when 1Password genuinely makes your life easier.

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

I like how everything is integrated on the phone, on the computer, in a browser, everywhere. It makes things so much easier. I have for years told my family to use 1Password. My kids since they were teenagers have heard me say, when they do something, "Did you use 1Password", because they had a tendency to not keep track and lose their information or worse, lock themselves out of apple products. Finally they are believers and now use it religiously, to where they tell me before I ask...."I used 1Password!".
Makes me so proud, and as a parent even more confident for them, because of how secure everything they do is now by using 1Password.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

There are not many downsides to using 1Password, but some of the user enhancements that could be better......I think most of the ones that I can think of have alreadyd been added over the last 7 years I have been using it. For instance, ability to upload icons when they do not pull in, or ability to attach files to entries. Things continue to get better.
If I had to point to one thing, I think the communication on the enhancements that have been made could be better. I see the notes and most of the time I have no idea what they actually are or are doing. Having video's of things would definitely I think make things more clear to me, especially if they were dumbed down to a level that makes sense.

Just when I thought I might be on to something, I checked the website and look what I found...1Password University. Great Job, maybe better communication on what is available, as I had no idea, nor do I every remember getting something telling me about this. Or the webinars. I will be doing both in the future.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The multitude of passwords that are needed these days and the ability to track them, with 1Password it is a gamechanger that I have forced my kids and spouse to use just because of how easy it is to use.

**Official Response from Blake Brandon:**

 ### 45. The best password manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos F. | Professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

It works! and it works in my PC and my phone. I need to do very little and it remembers all of my passwords without me having to do much. I use it many times a day. It works very well with almost all of the sites that I visit.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

It is not free. But there is no free lunch.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do not need to remembr many passwords and I can have a unique and complex password for each site. I can also have additional confidential information with me in a secure manner. And all of this is securely stored in all of my devices.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re so glad to hear you’re enjoying 1Password, and we really appreciate you letting us know!

 ### 46. Nonexistent support, poor handling of password updates

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Weston W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

The general user interface (except for new site paswords and password updates) is clean and easy to use. Also, the integration with Windows Hello and mobile device biometric security is quite good.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

Extremely poor, nearly non-existent support. They seem to be cutting corners like everyone else and just trying to make other customers support their product instead of doing it themselves. The support process in the web UI is intentionally obfuscatory, pushing the user away from finding anything other than generic help articles or other customers (who are also generally complaining about their poor support).

Password updates or new website accounts are handled extremely badly by their browser plugin. LastPass is old and awful, but at least they would PROMP users to add or update passwords. 1Password makes it a voluntary process. You must actively, manually save the password BEFORE the password is even accepted by whatever site you’re updating. We’ve found that users have a very low success rate using this part of the platform, and with good reason. It’s horribly designed and poorly implemented on the provider’s part.

Their password sharing between team members is very bad as well. Folder-level, in-app password sharing is a standard in the industry, but they only have temporary, email-initiated sharing unless you want to pay through the nose for their "enterprise" level product (not something we're interested in).

But it seems 1Password is unlikely to do anything about it, particularly since they apparently have no support staff to pass these issues along to management and development.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Really hasn't done anything our previous company password manager couldn't do, and we've lost a lot of functionality. Even though the UI and biometric integration represent an improvement over LastPass, everything else is worse.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re sorry to hear your support experience was less than stellar, but we’d love to help make things right. If you’d be willing to send an email to support+social@1password.com along with your support ID (#ABC-12345-678) we’ll have someone follow up and look into what happened.

 ### 47. Amazing Product - wish it were cheaper for Enterprises

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas f. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2024

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

The entirety of the product/suite. It's superb.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

I wish the cost were a bit more affordable at scale for organizations with less thana 75 users.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Password visibility in other products.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Hi Nicholas,

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re so glad to hear you’re enjoying 1Password, and we really appreciate you letting us know where you believe we could improve.

 ### 48. Hate isn't strong enough

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dax C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

Absolutely nothing.I had to create an account for work and I'll keep it because I have to, but I don't want to use this product ever if I can possibly help it. Nothing works the way it says it should and I constantly get errors from Chrome when creating a new password.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

Adding to a different device is nearly impossible. You need a Secret Key that doesn't exist. Creating a new password for a site errors every single time. I'll keep the account because ork makes me, but I'm going back to LastPass for an actual useable product.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1Password creates more problems than it solves and is one of the most irritating pieces of software that I have ever encountered. 'Enter your secret key' with instructions, but there is no secret key. The secret key is a lie.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Hey Dax. We’re sorry to hear you’ve run into trouble using 1Password 8. If you could reach out to our team at support@1password.com, we'd be happy to work with you to resolve the issues you're experiencing.

 ### 49. Elevate your life — 1Password is a no-brainer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chanoa T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

Once I started using a password manager, there was no going back. I used LastPass and after their breach (which they did not handle well), I was immediately impressed with how easy it was to switch to 1Password, how on top of their security they are, but also how transparent and clear they are in their communications. I've been super happy with making the switch.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

I've had it for several months and haven't found a downside yet.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Password saefty and management is one of the highest priorities in everyday cybersecurity, and 1Password nails it.

**Official Response from Laura Catherine:**

> Thanks so much for this wonderful review! We're so happy to hear you're enjoying 1Password so far and appreciate the kind words.

Have a great day!

 ### 50. Best password manager I've ever used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramiro C. | Site Reliability Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2023

**What do you like best about 1Password?**

It is really easy to integrate with a lot of other apps across plenty of devices. Plus the grouping feature lets me order my password for different environments such as Personal Passwords and Work Passwords, for example.

**What do you dislike about 1Password?**

Of course, if you don't have internet, you can't access your passwords. And I've heard people complaining about security concerns making it difficult to use, but I can't disagree more.

**What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a Software Engineer I've tried lots of softwares maybe once or twice years ago and forgot the password. Later, when I wanted to use them again I'd have to reset the password and that's a bummer. Now with 1pass that is not a problem no more.

And of course I have LOTS of accounts not linked with any of my social networks, so now I don't even have to worry about remember them.

**Official Response from Blake Brandon:**

> Hey Ramiro! Thank you so much for this great 5-star review. We really appreciate your support and your glowing recommendation!

1Password actually features a built-in offline mode, so that folks can still work with the data shared with them even if their device doesn't have an active internet connection provided you've signed into 1Password on that device at least once in the past.
