Why You Can Trust G2's Software Rankings:
G2's software rankings are built on verified user reviews, rigorous moderation, and a consistent research methodology maintained by a team of analysts and data experts. Each product is measured using the same transparent criteria, with no paid placement or vendor influence. While reviews reflect real user experiences, which can be subjective, they offer valuable insight into how software performs in the hands of professionals. Together, these inputs power the G2 Score, a standardized way to compare tools within every category.

Highlighted products: BambooHR, Rippling, ADP Workforce Now, Employment Hero, Connecteam, UKG Ready, Paylocity, and HROne.

Rostavo is the back office for a small agency that sends people into other people's homes: nanny and babysitting agencies, non-clinical home care, household and domestic staffing, pet care, and cleaning companies. Most agencies this size run on a spreadsheet for the schedule, a WhatsApp group for the team, a folder for certificates, and a separate tool for invoices. None of those is bad on its own. The handovers between them are where bookings get dropped, certificates lapse unnoticed and invoices go out wrong, and the person absorbing all of it is the owner. Rostavo does three things. It fills the work. Recurring bookings generate themselves from a pattern set once. A same-day gap is offered to every member of staff who is free and close enough, and the first to accept is assigned automatically while everyone else is told it has gone. Best-match suggestions rank who to offer a job to by availability, distance, history with the client and current workload, and show the reason for each. It keeps the agency compliant. Background-check status and documents such as DBS, first aid and right to work are stored as dated records with alerts before they expire, so a lapse is caught in advance rather than discovered by a client. And it gets the agency paid. Staff check in and out on their phone, with geofencing to confirm they were on site. Invoices are generated from completed work, clients pay by card online, and overdue chasing is built in. Staff payouts come from the same verified hours. Alongside that: real-time messaging between coordinators, staff and clients; a recruiting pipeline with an apply form you embed on your own website; candidate shortlists you send a client as a link with no login; e-signature agreements; ratings and reviews; custom fields and a form builder; and separate self-service portals for staff and for clients. Every feature is included for every agency. Rather than paying for a higher tier, you switch off the areas you do not use. Currency, language, timezone and country are set per agency.

ROTA is a cloud-based workforce management platform for restaurants, retail, logistics and field teams. It brings shift scheduling, clock-in/clock-out (attendance) tracking and leave management into one place. Managers build the weekly schedule in minutes, employees view their shifts and clock in from the mobile app, and missing check-ins surface in real time — not at day's end. ROTA App is built and operated by Luminis in Türkiye.
R&R Workforce Management is a cloud platform for workforce scheduling that helps organizations assign the right number of employees at the right time. It helps prevent overstaffing, understaffing, and unexpected labor costs. The system brings scheduling, time tracking, and insight into worked hours, labor costs, and productivity together in one place. Managers and planners can see during the week whether staffing levels match the expected workload and if adjustments are needed. Employees use the app to view their schedules, manage shifts, and request leave, which makes work clearer for everyone. R&R connects with HR, payroll, and POS systems and is used in retail, supermarkets, food service, and other sectors with shift-based work. This gives organizations control over their workforce and helps them respond quickly to changes on the work floor.
WorkHero is a warehouse workforce management and operations intelligence platform that gives executives and operations leaders real-time visibility into labor productivity, worker activity, and facility performance -- without ripping out existing systems. Operations teams use WorkHero to track picks per hour, identify bottlenecks, reduce indirect labor, and drive measurable productivity gains across shifts. Key capabilities include worker and scan analytics, labor and task management, heat maps, time-off-task alerts, gamification, WMS/ERP integration, and zero-touch MDM. Every subscription includes hardware, software, support, unlimited upgrades, and same-day break-and-replace warranty -- no CapEx, no procurement delays. The Rufus FLEX program lets operations scale device counts up or down for seasonal peaks without carrying unused hardware. S4labour is a workforce management and labour optimisation platform built specifically for UK hospitality — pubs, bars, casual dining and premium dining. It is not a general-purpose scheduling tool adapted for hospitality; the product and the consultancy behind it were built by operators for operators. The platform covers rota building, time and attendance, labour optimisation, onboarding, HR and payroll in one system. Demand forecasting drives rotas against expected trade rather than last week's template, so managers deploy hours where sales actually happen. What separates S4labour from software-only competitors is the consultancy layer. Every customer works with hospitality specialists who review labour performance against their own data and coach site-level habits — not a support desk, an operational partnership. Results across the customer base: an average labour saving of £1,100 per week per site; Sales Per Labour Hour up £5.21 (+12.7%); labour ratio down 3.4 percentage points; overstaffing down 4.9 percentage points with guest sentiment held steady. Across five brands and 128 sites over twelve months, S4labour delivered £3.8m in labour savings, with 93% of sites improving on at least one key labour metric and a return of £3.74 for every £1 spent. S4labour integrates with the EPOS and hospitality systems operators already run, including Zonal, Toast, Lightspeed, Square, Tevalis, Kobas, ICR Touch, Eposnow, Tenzo, TiPJAR, CPL Learning and Airship. Customers include Everards, Butcombe Pubs & Inns, St Austell Brewery, Thorley Taverns, The Chestnut Group, Grosvenor Pubs & Inns and Barons Pub Company.
