Backblaze Computer Backup uses native Mac and Windows clients rather than a cross-platform framework. This includes support for Mac-specific data like Photos libraries and Mail, Contacts, and Calendar files stored in the user library, along with Mac file-naming conventions that some cross-platform clients handle poorly. The native client also runs with a lighter resource footprint than Java-based alternatives, and it throttles automatically so backup doesn't compete with active work on the device. It's priced per device with no overage charges, so IT teams don't have to decide what to exclude from backup based on storage cost.
