What do you like best about Stellar Data Recovery for Windows?

Stellar Data Recovery was able to take the HDD platters apart and get our data back. Other providers were unable to get the info back, nor would they let us send the damaged equipment to them for recovery. Having that level of flexibility makes them stand out from their other companies in this category. They offer both software and hardware data services, which makes them stand out from their competitors. Local companies do not have the resources nor tools at their disposal to do the intensive and meticulous cleanroom craftsmanship that enterprise-level and small businesses need to stay up and online. The cost can be steep for small business owners if hardware-based data recovery is involved. The cost can run into four figures plus for a single 7200 RPM HDD. We used their products and services to regain a business tax records backup failure, through an insurance claim. They were able to recover lost partition tables on a networked drive, that other software programs and companies could not complete. Not having those documents could be disastrous if an audit were initiated, and the lack of those files would make applying for select government programs impossible. sometimes it shows raw folders which is confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When I deleted some folders then I realized that I have also deleted some important folders which were inside of the deleted folders. What do you like best about Stellar Data Recovery for Windows?

I found Stellar to be very user-friendly. The interface was easy to use and designed well. The initial scan took a couple of hours to discover about 650 GB of files, and after completing the scan it was easy to locate specific files I wanted to check for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stellar Data Recovery for Windows?

In an ideal world, I would have been able to recover my lost files for free, but at least the standard license wasn't too expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Stellar Data Recovery for Windows solving and how is that benefiting you?

I accidentally turned my external hard drive into a recovery drive and needed to recover my data. Most personal data recovery software companies will let you scan for files using a free version, and then ask for an activation key in order to recover the files. Stellar Data Recovery is no exception but I ran scans of the hard drive using trial versions of a few different recovery software, and Stellar seemed to discover the most files. Since I purchased a 1-year license of the standard version (the minimum offered), I will probably try out the other features besides disaster recovery and update my review to reflect my future experience.
