I value Seafile for its powerful granular permission control and reliable file versioning, which are essential for handling confidential CAD drawings, BIM models, urban planning layouts, and tender documents. We collaborate with internal architects, external engineering consultants, private developers, and municipal authorities, and it's crucial that only designated personnel access specific project materials. Previously, while we used FileCloud, we once shared an unfiltered folder link that exposed unfinished design drafts to contractors and caused unnecessary client confusion. With Seafile, we can create separate libraries for every project and precisely define who can view, edit, or download files, generating expirable, password-protected external sharing links. This layered access control significantly reduces the risk of leaking sensitive architectural content and supports our GDPR compliance requirements in Germany. The automatic file versioning is equally indispensable, eliminating the messy practice of manually renaming files with version labels. Seafile records every change made to architectural projects, allowing us to quickly restore historical versions if needed. Last year, an architect accidentally overwrote a zoning plan, and we recovered the approved drawing effortlessly via version history. It handles large design files steadily, which is important since renderings and BIM datasets are often very large. We share these secure links with participants during remote design review meetings held on AvidViews. Even with the lack of native integrations with RAYNET CRM, Seafile’s robust access governance and version tracking stand out, preventing costly version errors and unauthorized document exposure.

Managing Healthcare Files and Educational Resources Feels More Organized
What I like best about Seafile is that managing folders, libraries, and healthcare related files feels properly organized without making daily work complicated. I work as a Dietician and Nutritionist and also create health education content for social media, so I regularly handle nutrition plans, consultation records, follow-up reports, educational graphics, and healthcare documents during regular work. Creating folders, arranging files, searching records, and checking older documents feels simple even during busy schedules. Uploading files, moving documents between folders, and managing PDFs or reports also feels smooth most of the time during normal use. The platform also feels lightweight during regular use and opening folders or accessing stored files does not take too much time.
