I really like the vMotion feature in VMware vSphere Foundation because it allows moving live VMs without any downtime, making the process feel seamless. The centralized management through vCenter is another highlight for me as it saves a lot of time. Instead of jumping between servers, I can monitor all hosts and VMs from one dashboard.

I like that VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) is able to manage our cloud infrastructure, offering management capabilities that I haven't found in other clouds available in the market. It's pretty good, solving real problems related to cloud management. I am particularly impressed with the AI integration, where VMware is working on agentic things and bringing AI into the cloud, which I find really valuable. The AI does a good job in regular conversations and identifying support needs, which is a highlight for me. Additionally, the cost optimization aspect of VCF is also performing well. I'm happy with how easy it is to set up, as the guides are straightforward and we can do it manually by ourselves.

The biggest advantage of vSphere is that it pulls infrastructure management into a single, unified console that’s easy to navigate. Performance remains consistently strong, uptime feels dependable, and vMotion makes it possible to move live workloads around without interrupting service. Resource allocation is handled intelligently across the cluster, which helps keep things balanced. The admin console is clean and straightforward to learn, the initial setup doesn’t come with a steep ramp-up, and it integrates smoothly with the rest of the VMware stack—vSAN in particular—without any friction. With the automation tools and the way it scales, it works just as well for a lean IT team as it does for a large enterprise deployment.
