  ### 11. Cloud based accounting application for your startup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

It's cheap and gets the job done for most small-scale startups. It has all the features that you would want in an accounting application. It has invoicing, billing, inventory and contact management, financial statements like P&L, cash flow, balance sheet and other custom reports of your choice. The best part is it is all cloud-based, so you add users in the same application with different permission, and everyone in your office uses the same Zoho Books instance to do whatever they want. It has taxation support for most countries and so many third-party integrations for almost all types of work. You can integrate Zoho Books with your CRM application to automatically bill your leads or approve your sales team's expenses. The mobile application is fantastic and lets your on-field staff be really on top of your customer's accounts

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

It has the least customization capabilities and sometimes can render the entire application useless. This mainly only happens once you have scaled up a lot, though. Secondly, the reporting capabilities are minimal, and it doesn't have an offline mode. The cloud and mobile apps work excellently, but there are times when the internet is flaky in the office, and an offline mode is a lifesaver.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books is a cloud-based accounting application that helps you maintain the entire company's accounts online. It has helped us maintain accounts of every vendor and customer we deal with, understand our receivables and payables, and know how the company is doing cash flow and profit/loss wise. It has truly helped us understand the financial health of the company by implementing various GAAP online and keeping the entire team on the same page regarding the company's financial status

In the customer ledger there should be a manual entry option as we have to match purchase or manually in one ledger, if it is done then it would great for us

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can easily adjust our advance amount in the customer ledger, or we can also get the desire reports through Zoho books

  ### 13. All in one Suite for your business

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho books allow us to insert all the finance spending and income in a database which comes in handy while filing for taxes, generating invoices, managing spending etc. The features include auto import from bank statements, OCR of invoices which is useful.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

The UI is not very intuitive, it has a learning curve. The cost of autoscan feature is currently too high.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solves the following problems:
- Manging income

  ### 15. Simples Bookkeeping Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohit Y. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

It is very easy and intuitive to use. For someone like me who had no prior exposure to finance and accounting, this made the overall process a lot easier. I especially love the various reports that can be exported at the click of a button.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Capturing depreciation of capital assets is bit of a complex process and one can only find how to capture it by googling it up on the web, this is a recurrent feature and needs to be integrated better in Zoho books, also the depreciation needs to be linked to assets for posteriority and not just the amount needs to be captured.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us automate our bookkeeping compliance, where we have given access to our payroll to submit expenses (sub accounts) and has also considerably eased the process of bookkeeping in general.

  ### 16. Zoho is shaping into a great accounting management software for small to medium-sized businesses.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon T. | Judge Advocate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho offers an affordable solution for small businesses that operate by running financial reports, while tracking their most important numbers. Zoho Books specifically allows the user to measure and track growth from quarter to quarter.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Customer service can be a challenge when getting correct advice. An extremely avid bookkeeper must ensure the information provided is correct and accurate. It seems that some user interface with Zoho focuses on speed, rather than accuracy.

**Recommendations to others considering Zoho Books:**

There are many alternatives when it comes to selecting a bookkeeping software. There will never be a perfect solution, so find what works for your organization. Some of the "less sleek" options may be more user-friendly and may come with additional savings. Make the software work for you, don't work for the software. I would recommend giving it a try and implementing it for long enough to determine if it is worth your time and investment.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books is solving the important problem of tracking numbers for revenue streams and tax compliance. The major issue was in providing comprehensive, business financial growth charts and diagrams on a regular basis.

  ### 17. Comprehensive Solution For Managing All Your Financial Needs

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Accounting, Invoicing, Payment reminders, Payment options.
I appreciate it's integration with 50+ apps which makes it easy to handle data from various sources. It's unique feature which is not available in any other app easily.
It gives detailed analysis of financial position and helps prepare better financial statements with easy understanding.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

It takes a lot when you fetch data from various sources and sometimes it does not able to handle data properly. If they add exact formats in the zoho and tie up with their partners it could have been better.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho is managing my financial needs very easily by recognizing transactions properly and making collection and payment smooth and also managing employees salaries and wages on time. It has improved smoothness and satisfaction of my suppliers, employees and made collections easy. Improving overall business performance.

**Reviewed by:** Coyami D. | Accounts Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

It's a cloud accounting platform so no need to worry about any data loss. It covers all segments of the accounting including Stock Trading, Bank Reconciliation, GST and much more

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

There are no major downsides of Zoho Books. Only the trial period should be atleast 30 days instead of 14 days. 14 days trial is too less to understand such a big software.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything is clearly visible in the zoho books dashboard whether it is sales, purchase, banking, tax etc. It's easy to navigate to different areas and it's time saving. Also charts in the dashboard are helpful to keep a track on every area of the accounts and finance.

**Recommendations to others considering Zoho Books:**

Please consider hiring a Zoho Partner to help you with the initial setup. It's worth the investment.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can generate reports, and keep my books clean in case of an audit or if I want to sell my company. It integrates well with other Zoho products and several third-party applictions such as Stripe.

Importing and intergartion with the bank is a bit brittle (maybe due to changes in the bank end)
Surprisingly not well-integrated with their own Zoho expenses - challenging to get the nitty-gritties from only books during reconciliation

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All accounts-related book-keeping in one place
Automated fetching of bank accounts, all in one place
Make things easier within the team to access all the transactions in one place

  ### 22. Zoho Books Review by Salman Saeed

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Salman S. | Floor Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho Books offers simple and user-friendly user interface which is easy to use and navigate around. The feature of sending invoices directly from the Zoho Books application is an awesome feature to use and communicate money with customers/ vendors.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

The customized reporting in Zoho Books is a bit faulty and is not very flexible to use/ view. It does not allow and support complex management reports

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main solution that I liked, helps me manage my receivables. I can send the payment reminders to customers directly from the application that helps me organize my receivables

  ### 23. Affordable accounting software to manage your business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shazly M. | Digital Marketing Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

The most helpful feature I would say is the "recurring invoice", where I can create and schedule it to be sent to customers on a weekly, monthly, yearly basis. It also gives me the option to directly send it or save as draft, so I can review it before sending.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

I wish the mobile app shows the number of days the invoice is overdue by in the invoice overview section. It's not a major issue, but something handy. Else there is nothing I can complaint of.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books is ideal solution for a startup/SME like mine. It provides fully fledged accounting solution at a fraction of the cost with many features to enhance the productivity.

  ### 24. Effective way to keep your Books of Accounts

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

training
UI
Not much to say as per my notice

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Small-scale firms can use it on their own instead of hiring an CA firm or Accountant from outside

  ### 25. Zoho Books

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neelisha S. | Human Resource Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

The interface, the ease to use and the activity log as it tracks all the addition deletion and changes.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

It's a very good software to use. Many options are Available so I am not sure if I dislike anything about it.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helped to maintain data. Send invoices to distributors and suppliers. Though we were using the free version of it, it was very convenient as we can directly mail it to the respective person/client.

  ### 26. Comfortable way of book keeping

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayesha T. | Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Many of my clients used Zoho books for recording their business transactions as well as cloud access with all tax information as well as reports at the end. As an auditor it was easy for us to gather all information regarding a particular transaction like date, amount, party involved, mode of payment all at one go and mainly reliability of book keeping.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

As it has cloud access sometimes malware of information may happen unsual intruders may access sensitive data.

Increased Information technology in accounting area helps to avoid these

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manually we don't have to prepare reports like cash flows it gets generated automatically saving time and energy, basic information is required improving efficiency and reliability.

  ### 27. Manage your accounts without actually knowing it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Puran S. | Co-Founder & COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

I like the way they guide at every step to use the Zoho Books. They have huge guidelines that helped me to learn how I should start with Zoho Books and furthermore they have a video tutorial for almost every feature that greatly helps the user to understand especially when the user is someone like me who does not have any background with accounting.
I also liked that I have got a one-year free subscription because I switched from Wave Accounting software due to their structural changes within the organization.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Well, I have not found any that I really dislike but sometimes it gets a little slow to respond because of my weak internet.

**Recommendations to others considering Zoho Books:**

I would highly recommend it to those who have just started their business especially startups. Startups might not consider accounting as important as other segments but believe me, the clear you maintain your accounts, the better you will be able to deal with other things.
Rather than outsourcing accounting, I would highly recommend using Zoho Boks that guide you at every step to learn it.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving one of the biggest problems that every company faces, managing accounts. I'm solving the problem of maintaining spreadsheets for invoices, bills, receipts, sending them manually, recording customers, and keeping the record of payments, etc.
I'm solving all the above problems with Zoho Books that make my life easy to deal with invoice generation, adding customers, keeping records on payments, and more importantly dealing with GST from the Indian Government.

  ### 28. Zoho Boooks - An ideal cloud based accounting application for SME

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Package/Freight Delivery | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho Books is a total cloud-based accounting application with all the necessary features like contact management, invoicing, billing, manual journal entries, capabilities to generate financial statements, tax features, etc at a very low cost. It has great integration with other applications and all in all gives tough competition to tally and other accounting applications at this price range

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

One thing that I don't like about Zoho Books is it doesn't have a desktop version. Since Zoho Books is marketed for small shops/organizations, they don't always have an internet connection. During such times you have to manually record everything then put them back in Zoho Books, it can get tedious sometimes. The second, thing is it doesn't have the scale of tally in terms of customizations allowed which can become a bottle neck as you grow

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounting is the corner stone when you are trying to run a business. You cannot run a business without knowing what your financial health is, what your expenses are, your profit is and if your taxes are handled or not. Zoho Books helps you with all these. Zoho Books is providing an accounting application which is the best of both apps like Intuit, Xero and tally. It helps you manage your entire accounts online over the cloud. You do not have to keep heaps of manuals record or put entries manually in 15 different places. You just need to create one bill or an invoice and the journal entries is all taken care of. Reports and dashboards are automatically created which can be a huge life saver. The Indian version even allows you to file your taxes through the same app. So, yeah Zoho Books helps you on a daily basis when you are running a company and that too at a very less price

  ### 29. User friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pyush M. | Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

It is easy to operate. It can be mastered in a very short period. Maintaining accounts is also easy, even people of non-finance background can use this software and maintain their financial statements.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

it looks amazing but once you start working, you will be Disappointed

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

They just give you the total profit without knowing the right cost of goods
For example , you purchased and order 2 items with
1- RSP 100 USD and you get a 50% discount (the net cost should be 50 USD)
2- RSP 50 USD and you get a 40% discount (the net cost should be 30 USD)
After you save, you will find the cost of goods 150 USD however it should be 80 USD
