It's nice to not have to think about keeping on top of each piece of software's updates as Zappl does it for you. I particularly liked the addition of the AppBar which clearly shows the updates you need, when they are taking place and when they are finished. It's great to be able to click the icon at the top right and check if you need any updates very quickly. **What do you dislike about Zappl?** There are outlier apps that sometimes have issues with their own auto updaters, these are solved quickly by Dare who can scope a policy to disable the popups. We only have 1 app that remained outside of Zappl's scope as it kept breaking (Docker). Of course there are apps that aren't on there too, but they can be requested and the team will get them added - so not an issue. **What problems is Zappl solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before using Zappl if we had a security audit then lots of apps could be left out of date, we didn't have control of that. Now we are able to keep up to date, meeting strict security standards. This resulted in time saved by not having to chase people to manually update things. Also saved on stress! ### 2. We used to spend a lot of time chasing people to close and update apps like Slack / Chrome etc. for critical updates. It was draining! Zappl has changed that. it gives the user a clean bar on their screens and they can see what needs updating. they can defer for a period if they are mid meeting or in other important work. its all very neat and tidy and easy for everyone involved. We deploy Zappl through Jamf to all our devices. its performance has no visible impact on the MacBooks, running in the background and end users don't need to know its there until an update is needed, then it just works! with over 1100 pieces of software in their catalogue, you will be hard pushed to find something that is not in there. Just to talk about the support behind this - the team at Dare Technology are incredible. Dare have been our support partner for Jamf and Zappl for a number of years now, and their support has been second to none. Their response times are excellent and we have a dedicated Slack support channel with them too. Dare set Zappl up for us and continue to support it as we grow and new software is released. **What do you dislike about Zappl?** Honestly, I don't have anything I don't like! We are in the great position of having the Dare team behind us to set this up and provide ongoing support. it saves us time and helps us with our Cyber Essentials and ISO27001 certifications. What's not to like? **What problems is Zappl solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before we used Zappl, we struggled with third party application compliance. Jamf on its own is great for system settings but not for patching third-party software. Zappl fills this gap. It handles the full patch lifecycle. It frees up our IT support team from routine update tickets and helps us gain our security certifications. ### 3.
