**What do you like best about Workamajig?**

I like keeping all items about the project located in one place - Deliverables for proofing, Conversations vs. lots of emails. If someone is out of the office, it's easy to see where the project is at. In the past, PDFs would be shared via email and it spent a lot of time to combine edits, someone might have contradicted another person - in Deliverables, everyone can see what each other is saying, it can go in order of review so the PM reviews first before going to AM.

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

There are so many options, it's hard to know what you don't know. It's hard to get full adoption within our agency due to people thinking it's too cumbersome, or it requires too much work. Adoption to make it as standard part of the workflow has been a challenge.

**What problems is Workamajig solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping a lot of projects organized and on budget is my biggest benefit. Checking time entered/spent on projects compared to budgets in real time (as long as the team is entering time in a timely manner).

I like that it is a platform with capabilities for everyone who needs to interpret agency info. We can customize it to fit our needs and different departments can access what matters most for their roles.

The initial set up can be daunting, but I think it is all about taking one step at a time. If you take time to set it up comprehensively in the beginning you will be set moving forward.

Workamajig helps us get an overall view of all aspects of our agency. We have one central place where anyone can go and check on projects, see timelines, access deliverables. It covers our process from initial contact through close out.

It really does everything an advertising or marketing agency needs, and at a lower cost than most of the competition.

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

The UI could be a bit updated, but I know that is actively being worked by Workamajig. The only other thing is that it is very robust, which can be overwhelming for some. It isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the l could see the learning curve turning some off to the software.

If used to it's fullest extent, you can do everything in the software and replaces other software.

The ability to customize all the features to fit your company best along with the wide range of features that allows you to generate pretty much anything you'd like to gain in-depth information on.

It's a robust software so it can be overwhelming at first knowing where to go to access a specific item.

**What problems is Workamajig solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplifying daily task schedules and the ability to schedule tasks based on staff availability. Also, the ability to create various reports to provide insights to projects.

Workamajig is very user-friendly, and helps my agency and team stay on task.

Not much that I actually dislike, other than trying to figure out filters I need to apply to reports, but that’s not on wmj that’s on me!

Workamajig helps me to see all of my current jobs and keep work flowing properly. After attending bootcamp, I’ve found that there are even better ways to do what I’m doing!

Good resource for project managing. User friendly UI when looking for projects and managing. Being able to get help from support when running into trouble with features.

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

More features and refinements for admins. Some of the current features are greeat but would like to be able to pull more information on users without having to create a report. For example, be able to pull all the projects a user currently has opened, upcoming, and closed. Be able to un-assign users without having to replace them. Conversations UI could also need an update, as we have users who say it can be confusing.

**What problems is Workamajig solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently working with Workamajig on how Conversations look when sending a notification on Outlook so they look less "spammy". Will benefit by having users trust and use that feature.

I like all the different custom ways you can build out our own portal. Custom fields, dashboards, etc. I always appreciate the support team and all the webinars I can follow along with.

I love that everything thing is under 'one roof".  From sales to project management,  to contact management, to sales, to accounting, to budgeting and anything financial.

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

There are a lot of little nuances about the various modules of Workamajig and some of them are not very intuitive.

**What problems is Workamajig solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did a lot of research before we migrated to Workamajig.  Our main decision was based on having everything in one platform, from project management to all things financial.  We started with the project management module followed by accounting.  The process took a while, but that was our choice.  We loved being able to see profitability by projects and clients, which wasn't easy in our old system.  

Workamajig is a one stop shop for our agency.

I have really enjoyed the Workamajig environment’s ability to be customized; it can be adapted to just about any circumstance or workflow need. I also have loved the ample hands-on training that the reps provide.

I have wished there was an auto-forward ability for all alerts and approvals (deliverables and conversations) - like an out of office ability for another user.

Workamajig has helped us become more organized and has given us expanded reporting capabilities.

Sometimes there is a lot of clicking to get where you want to go and it’s hard to find easy instructions by typing questions in from the ? symbol on the menu.

Multiple ways to get to a solution can lead to implementation confusion and utilizing the tool to its full potential. You really need to have a good understanding of what your goals are for the tool and work with support to achieve them!

User-friendly, comprehensive software. I love the customizable reporting and how the project management, time tracking and accounting functions are all inter-connected.

While it's comprehensive in accounting + PM, you can't run payroll through it.

**What do you like best about Workamajig?**

I love that Workamajig offers numerous customization options for project setup and reporting. I rarely encounter any obstacles in the system when it comes to process flows. The customer service is impeccable; I've sent what feels like hundreds of emails with questions, and they always respond promptly and gracefully.

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

The approval flows need some serious work. Purchase orders should be limited to individuals rather than a set amount. Timesheets should be directed to the project manager instead of the employee's manager, who may lack insight into the inner workings of the projects.

There's room for improvement in timesheets as well. The system should allow for time-off requests to be integrated, automatically updating the individual's timesheet. Additionally, linking time off with backup approvers, rather than relying on manual setting adjustments, would be beneficial.

Certain customization options are limited. I would appreciate the ability to add custom fields to vendor invoices, estimates, and other areas.

Lastly, please consider making Billing Manager an option for approvals, notifications, and essentially all functionalities that a Project Manager or Account Manager has.

**What problems is Workamajig solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a great tool to hold all of the project details in one place along with the finances. The ability to add a campaign and roll up the details into one overarching report is fantastic. We love the ease of customization where available; it really helps tailor the projects to our company's needs.

**What do you like best about Workamajig?**

Having worked for an accounting firm for many years, I came into contact with a lot of different industry specific softwares. Workamajig is the only industry specific software that the accounting side doesn't feel like an after thought. Everything flows so nicely and you can pull a report on just about anything you can think of. And if you can't find it yourself, their support staff is amazing and will find it for you!

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

Being a US designed software, there have been a few tweaks we have had to do to be able to track things for Canadian accounting practices. But, the support and engineering staff have always been more than accommodating in making changes to help us.

**What problems is Workamajig solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workamajig helps solve our project management work flow issues. It is helping us to be efficient in our projects and better track our profitability on a client by client bases.

**What do you like best about Workamajig?**

It is a user-friendly tool.  Support is only an email away.  The ability to have one-on-one indepth trainings with a Support Team member is extremly helpful when navigating through new process and procedures for a growing company like MarCom Group.

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

There are many aspects of the system that are not used, because the general user is not aware of them.  When enhancements, fixes and upgrade are made are made to the system, we are notificed with a pop-up, but often it is not the right time for me to investigate what has changed and how it may be of benefit.  Perhaps I'm asking for more training for enhancements.

**What problems is Workamajig solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In addition, we use the system to record time.  It can allow users to record their hours directly from the project, rather than inserting on their time sheet.

Workamajig is a project, resources and financial management platform that encompasses everything you need.
The first step that is the most important step is to have help getting your system set up, have an intensive in depth training to understand who the system works. It's also important to keep going to the monthly webinars, watching the youthe channel to keep learning. 
The system is always evolving to meet the needs and requests of the users

The system has so many options, if your company does not give you the right permissions you never know what you don't know 
This goes back to ensuring you have the right person helping you set up the system otherwise you are asking for the keys to the castle and the leadership team also doesn't know what they don't know

The team at Workamajig has helped us with all of our questions and have helped us adapt the system to do what we need to do.

**What do you like best about Workamajig?**

I love the fact that estimates, hours, budgets, finances, purchasing and all things that go into running a successful creative company are tied together. Client, project and operational costs are all available in one system. I also LOVE that I can create custom reports and schedule them to automatically be sent out. While not all data sets are available in all reports, the flexibility is really incredible.

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

Workamajig is a beast. Because there is so much "in" the system, working through data, reports and finding your way is sometimes cumbersome. There is definitely a learning curve the first year or so, but the training and support we have had available was very helpful. In some instances we've had to hire outside consultants to help "build" our system, but it was well worth the effort and expense. 5 years in and we utilize almost every aspect of the system.

Insights from all the data throughout the system is helping us make financial, personnel and resourcing decisions. And as we grow we are needing more resourcing help and  Workamajig is doing that.

We purchase a significant amount of media on behalf of our clients, and Workamajig provides tools that allow us to seamlessly manage media orders, invoices, and client billings. We advance bill a large portion of that, and Workamajig's tools for tracking and applying advance bills are second to none. I extensively researched accounting systems before we made the switch, and nothing else out there offered the tools we needed at a price point that made sense for our company.

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

As an administrator, it can be a little tough sometimes to dial in the correct permissions for different individuals or security groups. There are so many different permissions that can be toggled, and it's not always clear how they connect to specific things that users can see or do.

**What problems is Workamajig solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workamajig is helping us solve issues that we were previously having with tracking and reporting. There's so much data that can go in, and so many options for pulling that data through to useful reporting. There are also even options for custom reporting that we've barely even scratched the surface of so far.

This system is intuitive, and very easy to learn and use.  I was trained in-house and had to learn many aspects of the system on my own, but had no problem.  The Help guides are a grea resource, and the personal support is awesome!

The downside could be considered an upside... there is so much to learn.  Three years in, and I am still learning.  There are numerous short cuts and tricks that I need to explore.

I need clear reporting that doesn't take a week to compile.  I can pull many reports in minutes that help us with staffing, pricing, and scheduling.  I can modify on the fly and save for future reporting periods.  This saves time over data dumping and manipulating in Excel.

Wamj does pretty much everything required with an ad agency.  Exception of payroll which is fine to have outside of system.  Accounting is robust and project mgmt has different levels you can implement or not, depending on what you do within your agency.  Support team is great; you just have to tell them the issue via email and they will get back to you. They can help you with custom reports and get you started.

Initially seemed overwhelming but videos and Bootcamp were very helpful.
There is lots available but you don't necessarily need to implement.

**What do you like best about Workamajig?**

As an agency that converted from NetSuite to Workamig, we love that we have all the reporting and search capabilities we had with NetSuite, but Workamajig is more intuitive and doesn't have all the glitches that come with NetSuite.  Also, we struggled for years to get NetSuite to perform agency accounting and we were never successful.  We could never see project profitability in real time.  Workamajig solved all our problems.  It's designed for our type of business and everything works like it should the first time you log in.  Also, their project profitability and project progress is built in, real-time and easy to understand by anyone in the agency.  Addtionally, the integration it provides with STRATA, American Express and FastPay has saved our company even more time.  And lastly, the customer support for Workamajig is great!

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

As a fairly new user, I have not found anything I don't like yet.  As with any program, you get ideas of what would be nice to have.  What's nice is that Workamajig takes enhancement requests anytime and tries to incorporate it into future updates.

Workamajig allows you to click through different reports once you open a specific report. Not many other platforms are as user-friendly and allow you to get into a sub ledger by just clicking. I like that WMJ is very robust. We use very detailed schedules and this allows us to do so and pull a lot of useful data from the reports. I also like the option to create custom views to use for different business functions. For example, I have a specific view I use when billing, and a different one for our production meetings.

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

It can be very slow at times. It is so robust that sometimes you need to peel back the layers of an onion to get to the root of an issue and find a solution. Checking or unchecking a feature may uncover new ones to navigate - which is good but leads to a lot of troubleshooting and discovery.

Again, robust templates and schedules are a must in our company so that is a benefit of WMJ. The new resource manager features are going to be quite useful in the future as well once we get our data input correctly and define best workflows.

I would like it to be more compatible with Teams and Jira. Also a DAM (digital asset management) system would be a great add-on feature, where you can tie in final deliverables as assets for sales and the company!

One of the biggest advantages that Workamajig offers is a centralized way to plan, manage and track projects. It gives everyone involved access to pertinent project info, minimizes unknowns and redundant status questions. It's a tool that I use constantly throughout the day. We also have a very responsive account manager that helps execute our ideas for reporting and enhancements when needed.

My biggest dislike is that some of the features aren't exactly intuitive. This is offset by the library of videos that are available online that showcase some of the features.

When faced with an issue, Workamajig will work on it until the issue is resolved. There was a specific issue with a 3rd-party and Workamajig was working behind the scenes on this until it was resolved, and I wasn't even aware they were working on it. I came in the next morning to an email that said to try logging in again and it was fixed! They did not give up!

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

I was used to calling in for support, so I had to get used to emailing with questions. I understand why they prefer emails - so they can have a written record of the question. They do accept phone calls but just prefer emails. But now that I'm used to it, I'm fine with it.

**What problems is Workamajig solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Interaction with a 3rd-party to pay bills via virtual card. It makes the payment process so much more efficient and less risk for fraud. Once it was set up (which was not difficult), it's very easy to process through.

Training team is amazing - they know the ins & outs of the system and help guide us as to the best way to set up for our business.

We needed project mgmt software that was customizable and could roll out across many departments.   We needed an intake form, ease for users/intuitive, a view of both top-level bandwidth and availability of staff as well as individual tasks.  We wanted it to offer vendor or freelancer integration and to integrate with SharePoint,

It meets and EXCEEDS all of these expectations!

I don't mind the time-keeping function. Pretty straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Workamajig?**

It's far too robust for the average agency. If an agency were to use Workamajig to its full extent, no one in the agency would need talk to anyone. Everyone could do their job via the system, and everyone else would feed off the prompts, notifications, tickets, etc. But in reality, no one group of diverse individuals will ever use a system so perfectly. It's not realistic. It requires too much precision. It requires too much time. In our agency's case, we would take longer to log a project into Workamajig, and follow the appropriate steps, than to simply complete it without using Workamajig. Honestly -- it's too much.

We don't use Workamajig for anything else but time tracking.
