"Secure Your IoT Devices with the wolfSSL Embedded SSL Library"
What do you like best about wolfSSL?

The library's portability stands out through its abstraction layer with a simple API and OpenSSL compatibility layer, facilitating easier access to different environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about wolfSSL?

I think some people find the certificate verification process in wolfSSL problematic, especially when trying to verify against the root certificate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellenet performance and very lightweight SSL solution"
What do you like best about wolfSSL?

Very perfect for resource constraint devices where you need to add ssl capabilities quickly as its very light weight in terms of resources consumed.Community is great too and I have always got answers for my doubts in the community forum pages. The API is straightforward, and the examples provided in the documentation made the process smooth. I was able to get secure connections up and running in no time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about wolfSSL?

One complaint with this tool is that initial setups requires skimming through lots of documents and figuring out among multiple config options is tiresome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lightweight and very efficientSSL library for securing apps"
What do you like best about wolfSSL?

It is very efficient having very low resource requirements and provides great performance. Its easy to use but has some learning curve for setup and complex feature usages. It has open source licence useful for quick testing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about wolfSSL?

Community support is bit slower several times and learning curve is bit steep. There is not enough documentation to start with in a easy to begin with steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Supports modern protocol versions, well thought out for embedability"
What do you like best about wolfSSL?

It really lets you get at the logic of TLS, as just byte streams. You can do the actual I/O however you want, which is important for embedding scenarios. i.e., all the logic is decoupled from syscalls, sockets, etc. Also, they have good guides on how to do lots of different things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about wolfSSL?

It's not as nice for situations where you want your application to write ciphertext into wolfSSL and get ciphertext out, i.e. with control flowing from your application into wolfSSL. Rather, you give it I/O callbacks, and when you interact with the plaintext read/write, WolfSSL calls your I/O callbacks to read/write ciphertext, i.e. control flowing from WolfSSL to your application for ciphertext I/O.
