AWS Certificate Manager makes SSL/TLS management extremely simple and reliable. I really like the automatic certificate provisioning, renewal, and seamless integration with AWS services like ELB, CloudFront, and API Gateway. It removes the manual effort and risk involved in certificate expiration, which is critical for production systems. The fact that public certificates are free and managed entirely by AWS adds great value, especially for scaling applications securely without operational overhead. One limitation of AWS Certificate Manager is that certificates cannot be easily exported when using AWS-managed public certificates, which makes it less flexible for use outside the AWS ecosystem. Additionally, managing certificates across multiple regions can be a bit confusing, as certificates are region-specific (except for CloudFront). More advanced use cases, such as custom validation workflows or deeper visibility into renewal processes, could also benefit from improved tooling and reporting.
