"AWS Certificate Manager!!"

What do you like best?

i have 2-3 years of experience working with AWS Certificate Manager , i must say it's one of the coolest service provided by AWS for certification management purpose , by enabling this service you can get free SSL/TLS certificate for your business website , and in today's world this certification is must required for your business website to go live ,it's very much easy to integrate it with other AWS services , and it provides automatic renew feature which automatically renews all your existing certificates which are associated with your account and have crossed it's expiry date , you can also able to integrate with ELB and cloud front services easily ! !

What do you dislike?

the quality of support is not so satisfying , the process of getting certificate is tie consuming ! !

Recommendations to others considering the product:

if you're looking to host you're website and wondering how to get security E Certificates then AWS Certificate Manager is the best choice for it and it's very cost-effective service too ! !

"It manages all certificates for your AWS resources !!"

What do you like best?

the best thing about it is -: it provides certificates like SSL/TLS free of cost , which is used to secure your website hosted using AWS cloud , and it's very easy to issue such certificates using AWS Certificate Manager we just need to request a certificate for website url and after validating the request you can enable SSL for your CloudFront distribution, it auto renews certificates , it's fully integrated with all other AWS services too , it manages the whole life cycle of Certificates by it's own thus it'll reduce your work in really big amount!!

What do you dislike?

Some times it takes too much time to issue a certificate and plug it on to the dashboard !!

Recommendations to others considering the product:

it's a free of cost , reliable , widely used and compatible with the AWS resorces Certificate management software, which reduce all the overheads of Certificate management lifecycle!!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

we use it to manage the life cycle of certificates for our AWS resources!!

What Multi-Factor Authentication solution do you use?

"Fast and secure certificates at AWS"

What do you like best?

What I like most about this service is how easy it is to create an ssl certificate which we can use for any server, and the way it integrates with other services amazon web services is very good because it greatly simplifies its application. Besides, I don't have to pay for the certificates and they are updated automatically saving us a lot of problems.

And to have your domain registered or managed with route53 is easier because it creates the registration in your dns automatically, simplifying even more its usability.

What do you dislike?

I find it a very useful tool and easy to use, I have no major drawbacks only that using several regions becomes a bit tedious because you need to create a certificate for each of the regions in which you have hosted resources.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I recommend to anyone who is interested in creating ssl certificates that use the excellent tool provided by amazon web services called certificate manager. It allows you to create the certificates in an extremely easy way, keep track of your certificates and integrates very well with other AWS services, saving a lot of time and money.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

When using AWS we use this service to manage our ssl security certificates and thus be able to integrate them in a simple way with some of our tools or our customers as wordpress prestashop and odoo.

"Simple and effective way for manage certificate in AWS"

What do you like best?

excellent certificate service provided by AWS, we just need to request the certificate for a Route53 domain from AWS and do validating our domain then it will be ready for use for free, We could use this certificate to enable SSL in our AWS Load balancer and AWS Cloud Front services. It supports auto-renew the certificate so reduce our effort on manage.

What do you dislike?

We could not use this cert for our application running in EC2, the validating process is a little confusing

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If your AWS system have ELB, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Beanstalk and API Gateway then AWS Certificate Manager is the best choice for HTTPS/TLS configuration, it is free and easy to setup, but AWS Certificate Manager does not support physical certificate so it could not use in EC2

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We deploy our system in AWS with the applications are installed in EC2 Auto Scale Group and has Load Balancer with Route53, and we use CloudFront as CDN, we have requested certificates from AWS and apply to our services, it saves a lot of effort on buy, installs and manage the certificate

"best way to secure your website and manage various e certificates!!"

What do you like best?

i have been using it for 2-3 years , so basically before hosting any kind of commercial website on AWS we need to buy some e certificate like SSL/TLS for getting https for your website , so erlier it was very difficult to host any commercial website and especially it was very hard to get those e certificates , but by using AWS Certificate Manager it's very easy to get it , especially it becomes very easy to manage these e certi's due to it's customized auto renew functionality , so it'll take only few clicks and it's done..

What do you dislike?

some times it takes long time to issue a request and quality of support is not up to the mark..

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Trust me it's widely used and very easy to use service for managing e certificates for your AWS instances ..

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

we use it to manage the certificates for AWS infrastructure ..

"Quick and simple certificates for most of Amazon provided services"

What do you like best?

Zero "installation" of the certificates. Once a certificate is requested/created it can be installed onto any AWS services simply through a pick list as a configuration option.

What do you dislike?

No apex or root included in a wildcard. Most other certificate providers do this by default. E.g.: If you order a certificate for *.example.com it would include example.com itself. In the case of AWS it needs to be explicitly requested as a seaport entity. There may be use cases where this makes sense but it would be nice to make that opt-out instead of opt-in.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Be careful to explicitly include your root or apex zone in a wildcard certificate request

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Mostly HTTPS for various sites. The AWS certificate manager covers off usage in static sites from an S3 bucket through to Elastic Load Balanced sites using EC containers.

"Quick and easy issuing and deployment"

What do you like best?

It's convenient to have domains that use Route53 automatically verified and a certificate issued. The certificate is then easy to attach to our load balancer.

What do you dislike?

Some externally managed domains take a little longer to validate.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Try how easy it is to issue 1 certificate. Especially to a domain that is already connected with Route53.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Eliminated the need to use a 3rd party issuer or worry about Let's Encrypt. While Let's Encrypt is easy, this is more convenient and easier to manage.

"Handy Center to store certificates."

What do you like best?

Certificate Manager makes it very easy to request and receive valid SSL certs for any servers that may need to be accessed externally. Utilizing this with route 53 and a load balancer I can authenticate any of my instances through a single external connection.

What do you dislike?

I had to google how to associate a certificate to an ec2 instance since it was not clear that you could not attach the new certificate directly to an instance.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Give it a shot and see if it works for your needs, it wont be a waste of time.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are providing secure access to a myriad of services securely and in a much easier way to manage.

"Works well, could be a bit simller"

What do you like best?

Free SSL certificates that require only email validation

What do you dislike?

The SSL cert cannot be downloaded and used on your own server (even your own EC2 instance) which is very annoying. It's understandable why this is done for security reasons, but this forces you to use either CloudFront or ELB if you want to make use of free certificates, both of which come at an additional fee, even if you don't need caching or multiple servers.

Also, I wish validation/renewal was easier for domains linked to Route53. (If I have access to redirect emails through another server, what is the point in sending out verification emails?)

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Note that you need to use ELB or CloudFront to make use of the certificates.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Costly SSL certificates when owning many domains.

"SSL Made Easy"

What do you like best?

It is FREE! This is a massive perk. Also, the ease of creating a certificate is astonishing. These certs plug directly into AWS products such as AWS API Gateway and ELB's.

What do you dislike?

It's a little annoying to have to create a certificate for every region if doing cross-region stuff but it's not bad enough to outweigh the goods.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

AWS Certs for our load balancers.

"Great Certificate Manager"

What do you like best?

The amazon certificates are free for aws services that require a certificate. Also it's easy to implement and to integrate into aws services. Fast certificate issuance and customization for additional names.

What do you dislike?

That the certificates for external applications do cost more than with other certificates authorities.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Great to integrate in few steps with Wordpress and Joomla.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

CDN implementation and integration with web plaforms like Wordpress, Joomla and custom developments. I have implemented it with AWS Cloudfront very easy and straightforward.

"Fantastic Product That Saves Money"

What do you like best?

AWS Certificate Manager allows me to create SSL certificates for my amazon hosted websites easily and best of all, for free.

What do you dislike?

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Use domain validation, not email validation
