"Centralized Certificate Management Made Easy"
What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

What I like most about Sectigo Certificate Manager is the centralized way it manages digital certificates, which makes the entire lifecycle—from issuance through renewal—much simpler. The platform offers strong visibility across certificates, automated alerts when certificates are nearing expiration, and solid integration with a range of environments. Its user-friendly interface, combined with helpful automation, reduces the risk of outages caused by expired certificates and makes it a reliable, efficient solution overall. What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

Some common dislikes about Sectigo Certificate Manager include a few recurring pain points.

User interface complexity: the dashboard can feel cluttered, and the navigation isn’t always intuitive, which can make certificate management harder for beginners. Customer support response time: although the support team is helpful, responses can sometimes take longer than expected. Limited automation: automating certificate issuance and renewal across diverse environments may require extra configuration or even third-party tools. Documentation gaps: some advanced features and troubleshooting steps aren’t always explained clearly in the official documentation. Cost for enterprise features: higher-tier plans and advanced capabilities for large-scale use can feel pricey compared to alternatives.

Taken together, these issues can make the overall experience less convenient for teams managing large or complex infrastructures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient and Unified Certificate Management"
What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

What I like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager is how much it simplifies and centralizes certificate lifecycle management. The platform gives clear visibility into all issued certificates, upcoming expirations, and compliance status, which makes tracking and planning far easier. Automated notifications and the ability to enroll and renew certificates at scale have significantly reduced manual effort and minimized the risk of unexpected expirations. I also appreciate how straightforward the interface is—tasks like searching for certificates, reviewing detailed metadata, and generating reports are quick and intuitive. Overall, the tool has helped streamline our processes, reduce administrative overhead, and improve security posture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

One downside of Sectigo Certificate Manager is that some areas of the interface feel outdated and can be unintuitive for new users, especially when navigating deeper certificate details or less commonly used functions. At times the layout makes it harder than necessary to quickly find what you need. Additionally, certain processes—such as bulk actions or integrating with external systems—could be more streamlined or better documented. These limitations don’t stop the platform from being effective, but improving usability and modernizing the UI would make day‑to‑day management more efficient. "Automation + Centralized Dashboard: Clear Visibility and Control for Certificates"
What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

My favourite feature of Sectigo Certificate Manager is its automation and centralised dashboard. It streamlines the issuance, renewal, and deployment of certificates, while giving the entire organization clear visibility to help prevent outages, maintain control over both public and private certificates, and ensure compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

Although there are many integrations available, I think it would be even better to expand support for more widely used tools like ServiceNow or Splunk. As it stands, some workflows still require extra API setup or additional customization, so deeper native integration would make the overall experience smoother and help save time. "Streamlined, Centralized Certificate Management with Helpful Automation"
What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

What I like most about Sectigo Certificate Manager is how much it streamlines certificate management. The automation for issuing, renewing, and monitoring certificates saves a lot of manual effort and helps prevent outages caused by expired certs.

I also really value having everything centralized in a single dashboard. It provides clear visibility into all public and private certificates across the environment. The interface is clean and intuitive, so even routine tasks feel quick and straightforward.

On top of that, the alerts and reminders are genuinely useful, and the support team has been responsive and knowledgeable whenever we’ve needed assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

Overall, the platform works well, but there’s a bit of a learning curve when you’re first setting up automation and integrations. Some parts of the interface could be more intuitive, especially for advanced tasks, and the documentation could be more detailed in certain areas.

Support has been helpful whenever I’ve needed it, although response times can vary depending on how complex the issue is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable certificate lifecycle management with strong automation potential"
What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

Sectigo Certificate Manager gives us a single place to track and manage certificate lifecycles across teams. The biggest win for us is the added visibility and control: we can centralize our inventory, reduce the risk of “surprise expiry,” and standardize how certificates are requested and approved. I also appreciate that it’s CA-agnostic and can be used alongside other public and private CAs (e.g., Microsoft AD CS and cloud private CA options), which is especially helpful in mixed enterprise environments. Automation and integrations feel like a strong direction as well—particularly when you’re handling renewals at scale and don’t want manual steps to be the thing that drives outages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

There’s a learning curve if you’re new to certificate lifecycle management, and some workflows feel more “enterprise/IT admin” than “self-serve simple.” Depending on your environment, getting full automation and integrations working can take some upfront planning—agents, ACME/API setup, and coordination with app and infrastructure teams. The reporting and overall UX could also be more intuitive for day-to-day operations (for example, quicker filters and clearer dashboards), but once everything is set up, the platform is reliable for governance and tracking. "Centralized certificate management that reduces risk and manual effort"
What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

Sectigo Certificate Manager has been most helpful for centralizing certificate lifecycle management across our organization. It offers strong visibility into the certificate inventory, along with clear expiration tracking and automated renewal, which helps reduce the risk of outages caused by expired certificates. The platform supports multiple certificate types and environments, integrates reasonably well with our existing infrastructure, and makes it easier to enforce governance and compliance through role-based access controls and policy management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

The biggest drawbacks of Sectigo Certificate Manager, in my experience, are its usability and overall complexity. The user interface can feel dated and not very intuitive, which makes routine tasks more difficult than they need to be. The initial setup and implementation also come with a steep learning curve, particularly when it comes to automation and integrations. On top of that, the documentation can be inconsistent, so troubleshooting often ends up relying on customer support. Unfortunately, support can be slow to respond and may require multiple follow-ups before an issue is fully resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Agnostic Certificate Lifecycle Management solution that's cloud based and easy to use."
What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

What I like most about Sectigo Certificate Manager is that it’s cloud-based, so we don’t have to spend extra time and resources managing yet another tool or environment. I also appreciate how quick and straightforward it is to issue, revoke, or renew certificates directly from there, rather than having to create à la carte purchase orders for each individual new certificate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

Automating the issuance of certificates in Sectigo Certificate Manager has been a bit more challenging for us. Much of this comes down to the fact that we’re not yet very familiar with the product’s ACME feature. That said, support has been readily available and helpful whenever we’ve reached out for assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automated Certificate Management with Responsive, Agile Support"
What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

The biggest advantage of SCM and Sectigo overall is the fully automated certificate management process. Both the customer support team and our assigned TAM are responsive, agile, and easy to work with. We use SCM weekly to implement new automated certificates as well as to revoke certificates that are no longer needed. The SCM interface is intuitive, clean, and free from unnecessary buttons or features, making it straightforward for customers to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

I ran into an issue once with IIS certificates for Episerver integration. The error was troublesome, but the Sectigo team was very helpful, and we were able to resolve it quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Affordable but Frustratingly Slow Process"
What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

I like the pricing of Sectigo Certificate Manager; they are cheap. The pricing is competitive compared to other EV Code Signing providers, which is important when you are a startup watching costs. The core signing functionality works fine when you have the certificate in hand. The product itself does what it needs to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

The approval and verification process is painfully slow. Our order took over a month to process and is still processing despite submitting address verification at least five times, including a formal legal opinion letter from our legal team. We were stuck on location verification even though our previous certificate was issued without issues. Support was unresponsive to escalation. If you need a certificate issued on any kind of timeline, be aware that the approval process may take weeks, if not months longer than expected. The initial setup for the signing tool itself was straightforward. However, the certificate issuance and approval process was extremely difficult, and it took over a month and multiple rounds of address verification before we could even begin using the certificate. "Clear Certificate Visibility, but 2025 Chain Changes Impacted Compatibility"
What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

Sectigo Certificate Manager provided strong visibility into our certificate inventory and expiration timelines. The dashboard made it easy to see what was deployed, what was expiring, and what needed attention. The automated email notifications for upcoming expirations were reliable and helped reduce the risk of missed renewals. In 2024, renewals were straightforward and easy to process, and overall lifecycle tracking was simple to manage from an operational standpoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?

In 2025, changes to Sectigo’s certificate structure and chain configuration created compatibility issues within our environment. Several servers were not recognizing the correct certificate chains, which led to service disruptions and required significant troubleshooting. The transition was not seamless for existing environments, and the impact on production systems made continued use difficult. Greater transparency around upcoming certificate chain changes and clearer migration guidance would have helped reduce operational risk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
