**What do you like best about Wipster?**

I like the easy login interface that Wipster implements for reviewers. It is easy to review the video without signing up for the software. And I also like how you can check a box indicating you edited that particular spot in the video.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

It would be nice if Wipster could add a " Add a Thumbnail" button in the options bar at the overview screen. I didn't notice you could add or change the thumbnail until you reviewed the video.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wipster solves the slow feedback time that typically happens at my company without this review tool. And it also allows me to upload a draft video without having to "unlist" a video in a very public space like YouTube.

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

It's easy for me as a power user to go into our different project folders and review comments left on our videos. It's super easy to share video projects with clients and allow them to download directly from the link, as needed. Their newer interface when sharing multiple videos through a single link has also improved and helped us track our edits better when sharing multi-video projects for client review (instead of using individual links). The allowance for guest accounts is really nice, too. We have our external partners directly upload videos into their own specific folders.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

When sharing multiple links, it can get tricky to keep everything straight. It's also kind of annoying when you click on videos within a folder that the video you click on most recently populates to the top of the folder. I do kind of wish moving videos between folders in the side-bar was a little easier (i.e. drag and drop). Overall, easy to use and we don't have a lot of problems with it.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aiding client reviews on agency videos and allowing us to keep all feedback in one place. Compare old versions to new versions to make sure all changes are addressed. Keep all our active projects in one location for easy reference.

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

I love that it is easy to jump through my timeline and look at comments. Wipster makes it super easy to share content with clients and get feedback.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

I don't like that I can't reorganize my folders in my dock, I'd love to be able to hide old content.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is hard to keep track of what version of an edit your team is working on. Being able to stack reuploads so everyone on the team is always viewing the most recent edits is super helpful.

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

Wipster enables our clients to leave feedback directly on WIP videos, marking their comment at the exact timecode and location of their click. It makes it quicker for both parties to identify where changes are needed compared to when they manually type out feedback in an email or try to supply their own screenshots. I like that you can generate multiple unique URLs to a given video and disable them independently if needed. You can also choose whether to share with a finish commenting button, an approval button, or with no comment/approval functionality at all if its the final version and they just need a download link.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

They might need better tutorials or more intuitive UI, because some clients don't understand how to use Wipster properly. In particular, the finish commenting button is rarely used correctly. It's meant to notify us that a given commenter has left all the feedback they intend to leave, but most don't use it at all  (perhaps out of fear they will be locked out of commenting even if they discover another issue), and some think the button is required to save their comments. 

The discontinuing of the unlimited user plan that we were grandfathered into could have been better communicated to us too.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Wipster we would send unlisted YouTube links to clients to review drafts of videos. Clients would send the feedback through email. Upon completion, we'd use a file transfer service like WeTransfer or Adobe Send to send the completed video for download. All of that can happen on one platform now, which is convenient.

Simple to use. The ability to tag comments right into/onto the video makes it easy to provide specific feedback to someone without watching the video together on the same device.

Storage space is throttled depending on the paid plan, but as a freemium product, it's hard to be too bothered by that.

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

What I like the most about Wipster is that I can pick the exact time or spot on a video where I want to comment. It is effortless to use and very straightforward to share and bring people feedback on your projects. I mostly use Wipster to review my student's projects and give them instant and precise feedback; it works even better than giving comments in person.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

The only issue I found is when two comments are too close in time, and you want to open them. When this happens, you can only open one, and the other is practically impossible to view. This can be confusing when you want to comment to separate aspects in the same time code.

**Recommendations to others considering Wipster:**

A good way to organize your projects is by crating folders, after having too many files it can be very confusing to browse through your workspace, if files are not well organized.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem Wipster solves for me is communicating with several students in different locations. It is very easy for them and for me to give and receive feedback. You only upload your files, share them, and you are ready to receive comments on your work. In my opinion, my students get better feedback and come back to check comments anytime.

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

We love that it is so intuitive for your clients, they never have issues using it and all comments are consolidated in one spot. Before it use to always be super long emails with timecodes that we needed to interpret!

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

The only thing I dislike is that we didn't have it sooner :-) Otherwise, the platform is great, it always works as expected. I also love the new payment system allowing us to pay more when we need it more, and less when we aren't doing animations.

We are able to collect feedback from several clients, from all over the world in one spot for all team members to see in real-time. It avoids unnecessary meetings, emails, and often extra rounds of edits. 
Client's can be more precise by clicking on the exact moment and/or spot in. the video that they want to edit, helping us get a clear picture of what they need.

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

Wipster is a very handy app for a visual studio like ours. We use Wipster daily to get feedback on storyboards, style frames and videos we are creating for our clients. Wipster allows our clients to open a video or storyboard and make comments and feedback exactly where the input is relevant. In-app comments and discussions can be made by all team members and stakeholders working on the video or storyboard. Wipster is an invaluable app for the day-to-day running of our studio and has been an instrumental tool in helping create the productions that make our clients happy. Another great feature is that we linked Wipster to our studio's Slack account. Whenever a client or team member makes a comment or an update to the production we are notified on Slack - which has proven to be very useful too.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

To be honest there is not much we dislike about Wipster. Everything works as it should and it is a very user-friendly app to use. The only issue we have had in the past is some login issues for some of our clients wanting to review work - but these are nornmally sorted out within a few hours max.

**Recommendations to others considering Wipster:**

Wipster is our go-to app for gaining feedback from clients worldwide on animated video productions, storyboards, stylesheets, and designs. We recommend the app for speeding up your studio's workflow and making the process way more user-friendly for clients.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The issue we solved with Wipster was - How do we get the videos to the client so they can view the production and make notes and give feedback? Before Wipster we would have to upload the video to a transfer platform like WeTrasnfer. The client would then download the video to watch the video and make notes on a separate document concerning feedback, comments, and changes. The client would have to match timecodes to the review notes so that we at the studio would understand exactly which segment or sequence they were referring to in the notes. This way of obtaining client feedback was a time-consuming practice for all involved in the production. Wipster has now totally transformed and streamlined this process, making back and forth communication much more convenient and accurate. Overall the benefits are a more user-friendly process for the client with faster turnaround times and clearer communication for us at the studio.

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

There are many features of Wipster that we've come to rely upon. What's been particularly good is that, as we've added more and more videos over the years, Wipster has developed new tools to make it even better.  What is particularly useful now is that for clients with multiple projects associated with them, you can organise and group them into different folders, rather than just having projects pile up sequentially. All in all, it's a platform we couldn't live without, and because it's never let us down, we don't have much interest in any competitor products.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

The only issue we sometimes have is with clients still choosing to watch the video in Wipster and then write down their comments in an email... I guess there will always be some that prefer doing things the old way. That said, we rely on Wipster so much that we still input that feedback back into Wipster ourselves to accurately keep track of amends.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, it's all about efficiency in the production process. At its simplest the review process, which used to be quite painful, is made incredibly easy and something the vast majority of our clients are quickly onboard with. Integrations with apps like Slack mean that we no longer have to chase clients with "Have you watched the video yet?" emails as we receive an alert when it is watched and by whom.

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

It's an easy way to share and collaborate on a video with freelancers on UpWork. I love being able to leave notes/feedback on the video at specific time markers and on specific areas of the video.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

There's nothing that I dislike. I'm just noticing that along with my written notes, I'm sometimes creating feedback videos to talk through explanations or show visuals of what I want. So I think if there were a way to just add audio feedback so I can talk through what I want at a specific spot.

**Recommendations to others considering Wipster:**

If you're bogged down in the video editing process and thinking about hiring help, Wipster makes it easier to collaborate with a video editor, especially if you are on a remote team. The only thing I've found is that I sometimes have to include additional feedback using visual/audio so I will supplement the feedback by creating my own video using VidYard (you could also use something like Vimeo or Wistia if you have an account) and I record my screen while talking through some of the parts.

I think the video/audio feedback will decrease as my freelancer and I do more work together and we get more in sync with our approach to editing.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been editing my own videos on Premiere Pro for the past 18 months and I now don't have the time to do it anymore. I needed to find some help on UpWork to take over the editing process. Wipster has made it possible to see the work in progress and add notes/feedback. This has really streamlined the process of giving feedback in a remote setting and it's giving me more time to do other projects because somebody else is doing the nitty-gritty editing.

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

The best things about Wipster are the timecode-specific comments and how easy it is to share with my clients. One link can work for everyone. The tools are intuitive so I don't need to explain anything. It helps my clients make specific, action-oriented notes with ease.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

I only wish that the interface could run a little faster! The load times can drag on review pages. Also sometimes the notes get long and clutter the frame. Maybe an easier way to manage long notes with several replies?

Just keep your media organized and use the native versioning in Wipster to keep it simple.

Wipster helps us collect feedback in a centralized place. My clients don't have to type out timecodes into convoluted emails. And being able to point to the exact place on the frame encourages my clients to be more specific with their feedback.

I can't think of anything I really dislike... I have simple requirements, and it meets them all :)

I'm a storyboarder rather than a video editor, so Wipster makes the task of telling an editor which shots to use, where things aren't quite landing right, or pulling out quotes from raw interview footage super easy by just commenting straight into the raw file. It has saved so much time in typing out specific timestamps and going back and forth with feedback documents. The commenting and replying functions are super useful for me.

Wipster is easy to use, has high availability and makes the video review process much faster. Our clients all enjoy working with Wipster, and it's a real differentiator for our business.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

Sometimes the processing times for a video are longer than expected (usually 2 minutes, sometimes 10), and it happened a couple of times that the service was unavailable for a few hours. But I remember maybe three instances of this happening in around six years.

There are several review tools for video on the web but in my opinion Wipster fits our needs best.

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

The user interface is so simple for us to share with clients for review.  There is a low barrier for entry, and when they leave comments, it is so intuitive.   We organize our projects by years, and the folder structure is a simple way to track the videos as the project evolves.  Key to use is any team member can easily "share" a video and send the email or link.  There is no difficulty in that.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

The interface for Wipster is so simple and user-friendly, anyone on my team can use it within minutes of opening it.  But, it is really integrated and sophisticated. I like that no one needs to use all functions, but they are there for the usage.  My clients have no problem logging in and using Wipster without complaining about being slow, tedious, etc.  It is so plugged and plays they do not complain.  I hear complaints about other applications as being confusing.  Just the interface, the colors, and folder structure of Wipster work well for us.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The commenting feature is our main tool.  We get easy-to-read comments and notes from clients or internal team members. Even small clips from editors get posted to Wipster for review rather than email to in house producers.  We all know it is on Wipster (easy to search Wipster) and we do not rely on digging through emails to find attached videos.

Having used several tools over the years to help manage video content production, Wipster has been by far the standout application. I would be lost without it and you would be foolish not to try!!

Having just completed a job creating 40 different product films in 4 different display formats, translated into 6 different languages, I can safely say that such a volume of film production with its many different client contacts to deal with, would have been simply impossible without Wipster

Commenting on specific areas of a video project makes it far more straightforward as an editor to pinpoint the exact spot the clients are referring to, making edits easy. The new ability to play at different speeds also allows for a much quicker review process helping my team speed up their workflow.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

I wish there was more storage on the free version and that items in the bin didn't count towards your current storage. When you're over the storage, it's time-consuming to try and create the space.

**Recommendations to others considering Wipster:**

Definitely consider using Wipster if you want to helo both yourself, your team, and your clients when working with a lot of media work.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ambiguous email feedback is a thing of the past. It's a quick and convenient way to manage getting edits in front of clients and team members and get concise (client dependant) feedback that is easy to work with and easy to see for all involved.

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

I came to know Wipster through NoFilmSchool.com and have been wanting to incorporate it for a while. There will be no looking back for us! Everyone on the team absolutely loves it! 
It's so handy how we can see everyone's input in just one place. No more will we be collecting feedback via endless chains of emails listing comments with timecode clarifications (which, once you cut out or move a scene, no longer make sense). Feedback also makes much more sense once viewed directly on the video, it helps a lot with the visualization. 
One of our favorite features is the possibility to share the final version through the platform for download. We used to use Drive for that, but granting people access to the folders where you backup all your work can be very dangerous. So we love to have a specialized channel that is both for communication and feedback, but also for delivery!

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

Nothing we dislike! Only features in the wishlist: 1) would be good to have some sort of labels to quickly identify whether the feedback is in regards to animation, or sound mixing, or editing, etc. 2) Would love to be able to insert images in the comment boxes 3) Would also be good to have different profiles, such as viewer/commenter. Our animator is usually once to get comments, not to make them, and he mentions it's uncomfortable for him that every time he clicks on the bar, a comment box opens.

Recommendations to others considering Wipster: They may think it's somewhat costly but in the end, that cost is offset by the time you and your team save by using the tool. Not to mention your reputation! Our clients love this tool, so it makes us look good too.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of our favorite features is the possibility to share the final version through the platform for download. We used to use Drive for that, but granting people access to the folders where you backup all your work can be very dangerous. We had some assets mysteriously disappear in the past because we lost track of who the link was being shared to. So we love to have a specialized channel that is both for communication and feedback, but also for delivery!

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

I like how easy it is to upload videos and review the comments my clients have over the latest cut I sent them. I can reply to the client's notes inside wipster, let them know which changes have been made, and even download the comments as a text file for future reference.

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

Wipster URLs to share with the client are way too long. I find myself always copying and pasting them into bit.ly to shorten them.  I don't know if it's possible, but I would like to upload a new version of a video and keep using the same shared link I already sent to my client in the past.

**Recommendations to others considering Wipster:**

It's a great tool to share your work in progress with clients; it's super easy to receive feedback, easy to comment on the exact comment your client gave you, and makes you receive fewer emails.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The feedback my client sends to me is easier to understand, focused on the issue, and easy to find. The client understands how easy to use the interface is, and he doesn't need to be copying and pasting timecodes or images to explain which of the eight items in the shot needs to be fixed because they can point precisely to the one with the problem.

I appreciate that Wipster continues to innovate its product, always keeping in mind that its primary goal is to make life easier for content creators. They keep it simple so my clients are never at a loss for how to use the tool.

The use of the application on a mobile device can sometimes be a little tricky. Reviewing videos and commenting on them could be made easier on a mobile device to truly take advantage of the tool.

Wipster is a terrific value if you're looking for an easy, intuitive tool to handle reviewing your materials with clients.

Wipster allows my team to collaborate on projects internally and then quickly and easily get our videos in front of the client for their feedback. Making revisions before Wipster could be a burdensome and confusing task, but with Wipster, it's just easy.

**What do you like best about Wipster?**

I love that you can upload any type of media, including videos or images, to send to clients for review. The review process becomes seamless as reviewers can click anywhere on the video or image to leave a comment on that spot directly. It makes it so easy to know exactly what part of the proof clients are referring to when they leave feedback, and I love that you can reply directly to that comment as well. The ability to mark items as complete is also great, so as a project manager, I can see exactly what our team has been working on. 

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

I don't like that some smaller images are previewed much larger than their original size when uploaded, and this makes the images appear blurry. It's frustrating to have to inform our clients to zoom out to a certain size on a preview for it to match the size it should be, and look less blurry. We've also had some preview issues that distort color as well.  

**Recommendations to others considering Wipster:**

If you are looking for an easy way to have clients review video or image design, Wipster is an extremely helpful and cost-effective solution!

I was getting HOURLY updates on everyone's input on videos. It was overkill.

**Recommendations to others considering Wipster:**

This is a solid platform. It really depends on the features you are looking for when selecting a video review platform. Some features sound really good but you might never use them. This one has a few we just don't need so more isn't always better. Wipster's customer support is email only so that doesn't work for us. We lost data on another platform and their phone tech support got a developer on the phone for a 3-way 4-hour call as we worked to get the media back online. It was astounding. You want a voice when something like this happens in post. There is never any time to waste with "I'll email you in 24 hours."

I would advise that your company seek a platform that captures everything you are going to do with it. Don't go with the flashiest or most popular. Do the research and put in the time to know why you are using it and what features will keep your workflow moving quickly. We worked backwards on finding a platform and in doing so came to the realization that while the big guys were great and the bells and whistles were interesting, we just didn't need them at the speed we were editing. 

Our client chose Wipster because of the integration with Adobe products. We really didn't see this a s a must have since we have multiple screens in the edit bays and you can easily scroll to the timecode needed and make your edit there. That said, Wipster is twice the price of ReviewStudio so there is that.

**What problems is Wipster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our position with Wipster is odd. The client wanted to host the platform so we lost much of its functionality. It is a weird place to be in considering much of a platform is back-end reviews before it gets to the client. Reviews with a client out of the country are going very smoothly and the platform is great for that. It is weird that you can not see actual comments listed anywhere but must scrub thru and find these "bubbles" that have the comments in them. Time-consuming.

Where to start, my favorite feature is the comments. You can comment down to the exact frame and literally anywhere on the frame. I love the "team only" comments functionality so you can communicate with your team without the client seeing your comments. I also love the subfolder feature within a client folder, this comes in handy when you have multiple campaigns going at the same time. I also love the notifications bell icon. I can see when a video is uploaded and who has watched, and when they viewed. It has an excellent interface and user experience. I love being able to scrub through the video icon as well. 

**What do you dislike about Wipster?**

The wipster plugin for Premiere Pro is so buggy! I love the potential and when it works properly it is amazing, but it gets jammed all the time so I just stopped using it. The login sometimes doesn't work. We have added team members and some haven't been able to login. I wish there were an overall notes section so the client can leave a summary of thoughts about the video.

I would highly recommend Wipster to anyone who needs to get feedback from a client. This is the best site we have used and has so many amazing features that are easy to use and make so much sense!

Sometimes, the comments don't show up in the right place. It can be difficult at times to pinpoint exactly where/when a change needs to be made. This can often be solved with a follow-up phone call or clarification through subsequent comments on the video file, but when the entire premise is to provide feedback directly on the video file, it kind of defeats the purpose. I've also encountered upload issues when sending a file straight from Wipster to Vimeo. Versioning sometimes gets confusing, too.

Wipster makes it extremely easy to scan a video, and leave feedback on specific video frames, as well as leave notes about specific areas of a video. Instead of a phone call or in-person explanation, they can do it all online.

I also love how simple it is to learn the UI without having to do much explanation to our clients, even our long-time clients who are used to a different method. It's become easy to send them links, and get them on board quickly.

On our end, it's simple to find their feedback, and use it to make quick video edits.

It is a little finnicky. Strange behavior on creating new folders, as well as titling them. The upcharge for adding multiple users on our account is silly. The email notifications system is slightly wonky as well.

If you want fast-paced, easy to learn, client feedback browser software, this is your choice. I haven't seen anything else that does what Wipster does, as well as it does it.
