We have the free plan so the cost is great for a Not For Profit organisation. It provides us visibility on if our domains are being used by bad actors to send out spam emails. The site is easy to use and setup for any domains once you have your DMARC, DKIM & SPF configured. What I appreciate most is that I no longer have to manage DNS directly. There’s no need to involve the DNS team or deal with change tickets, which makes adding records much faster and more straightforward. I don’t have to worry about accidentally breaking something or creating malformed records. Setting things up was straightforward—just point a couple of DNS entries to Valimail, migrate the existing records, and the process is essentially complete. I also find it very helpful that each record is clearly labeled with the associated sending service, making future audits much simpler. The hosted SPF configuration prevents us from running into the lookup limit, which is a real concern in larger environments. I also appreciate that the SPF records are obfuscated. The DMARC reports are exceptionally clear and by far the easiest to interpret that I’ve encountered. Their support team has been excellent as well; they’ve stepped in to assist when I was unavailable and someone else needed help, which has truly been a lifesaver. I would really like to be able to view the actual SPF record entries as they appear in DNS. Currently, the tool only displays sender names, which is helpful for a quick overview. I use Valimail for monitoring DMARC reports, making it easy to identify issues with mails from our domain and check SPF records. It provides nice reports and dashboards that display all mail and its various sources, which helps to figure out tricky mail flows that are hard to trace. I find it very easy to navigate, without hiding features behind a million options. It clearly shows me what I need in an easily digestible manner. I find the interface could use some improvements to enhance exploration. Another is the cost factor like its little expensive for smaller businesses.

Valimail has truly transformed our organization’s approach to email security. Managing our domains is now much simpler, as the platform automatically takes care of DMARC, SPF, and DKIM setup. Rather than constantly worrying about spoofing or phishing attempts, we’re able to clearly see who is sending emails on our behalf and block any unauthorized senders. Although Valimail offers significant automation, the initial setup still demands correct configuration of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records. For those with limited DNS access or knowledge, this process can seem daunting at the outset. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Valimail is pretty simple to setup and use. We were wanting to monitor some changes to DMARC, and Valimail was the platform we ultimately decided to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A few things I don't like:

1. The free vs premium features are frustrating. I can't see enough value from free to validate a move to premium.

2. The Sender Requirement Failure feature is in beta and never really works. I can't only get it to work if I expand it before a week, and even then it's hit-or-miss.

3. It doesn't really do enough. Other platforms I've tried did a better job at helping to explain the WHY and HOW rather than just the what. Valimail primarily focuses on the WHAT.

4. Some of the feature organization is weird within the app, even after having used it for a few months. I can get more value in the account overview than the sender requirements failure, which is counter-intuitive IMO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Valimail is easy to setup and easy to work with, whether adding a new domain or making any needed changes.

Reporting is helpful, can help spot issues with non-allowed senders [able to look into if they need to be allowed or not] yet also see how well you are protecting your domains.

Using Valimail makes it easier on our DNS Team. With over 100 domains and some having multiple approved senders, they were the ones making the needed changes, yet our mail team handles these with great ease of use and timeliness of of getting these items handled occurs fatser.

Any support we have ever needed, Valimail has always met our needs and helped us for what was needed, even if we just needed better understanding on a metter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The customer service was incredible! We put in a ticket for support in the middle of our mail migration from Microsoft to Google, and realized we needed to take Mimecast out of the equation. In the middle of the night well after hours, our account manager was able to intercept the ticket, and jump in and help us migrate our DMARC records immediately. I have never seen service like that before from a "Tech" company. The implementation of Valimail was incredibly simple and easy. What I appreciate most about Valimail Tool is how easy it is to use. The platform provides clear visibility into all email-sending activity from all my different domains together at one place. It takes complex raw DMARC reports in XML format and translates them into straightforward, easy-to-read lists of services. Additionally, it gives detailed data, such as which email services are sending on your behalf and whether they are passing or failing DMARC, SPF, and DKIM authentication. This also helps me stay informed about all email activity and identifying unauthorized senders, it provides the necessary visibility to enforce DMARC policies (like quarantine or reject) to block phishing and impersonation attacks before they reach recipients.
