Also, though the platform has some limits, it can functionally gather both e-learning content and instructor-led courses. Our organization is super complex and, even though it is not perfect, we can operate with Valamis. **What do you dislike about Valamis?** The delivery experience is not very good. They usually delay a lot of the features they develop and that they have announced. **What problems is Valamis solving and how is that benefiting you?** Valamis is currently working on a Training Events revamp, which at least of what it is shown in the mockup should cover a lot of the needs we have today; for example, a time range that clarifies the confusion generated with the different timezones we manage in our companies. The revamp it looks more appealing and attractive, which currently is not and affects on the learning experience. ### 2. They provide great interaction with you as a customer and make your priorities their priorities. The platform is easy for the end user to use and there's a good degree of flexibility. We also have strict security requirements- Valamis met these with zero issues. **What do you dislike about Valamis?** Like any system, there are some bugs that currently require workarounds, in particular waitlists can't currently be used for events. However Valamis is actively working on fixing this and other bugs and improvements have been consistently delivered so far. **What problems is Valamis solving and how is that benefiting you?** Valamis makes our learning easy to access and visible across our organisation. The features and integration available act as a "force multiplier" for our L&D and we are experiencing greater engagement than ever before. We've had nothing but positive feedback from our learners and internal capability professionals are pleased with the targeting and metrics that are possible with the system, as well as the built in content creation which allows for teams to create their own learning. The reporting is also exciting and making it easier than ever before to evidence our impact. We also run a lot of training events (50+ monthly) and the system is excellent at making these visible and easy to book. ### 3. Valamis want you to succeed. This was a major undertaking, and it was possible because of their support. The biggest thing I like about Valamis is that they want you to succeed. They do everything to make sure you are not overwhelmed. In terms of the actual product, it's crisp and easy to use. For us, the leaderboard is a game changer. Creating competition across the organization has driven adoption. The backend reporting is also first-class. Honestly, in terms of product, value for money and support, I cannot recommend this company highly enough. **What do you dislike about Valamis?** Having a physical presence, for a couple of days, at the very start, would have helped. There was a lot to absorb, and although the onboarding was structured, I would have opted (had it been possible) to have a team come to the office for a couple of days. **What problems is Valamis solving and how is that benefiting you?** Valamis allows us to offer a truly hybrid learning experience. Our learners (mainly US students) want to be able to learn at their own pace, but also avail of live online, and live in the room sessions. Valamis facilitates all of this. The platform is also accessible on all devices. Through the leaderboard and backend reporting we can also drive student engagement. Finally, due to the platform's functionality we can rapidly design and amend content. ### 4. They have extensive functionality: role targeting, expiration dates, different enrollment settings, and more. I like the Skills module. It helps us assign developers to projects where their skills are mostly needed. We got massive support from the learning consultants team from Valamis, who helped us do the skills assessments with our developers. We've had feedback from managers who also find it helpful in spotting who in their team is pushing for personal skill growth. In general, it's a great platform, with super friendly and supportive people behind it. **What do you dislike about Valamis?** The old and heavy interface of the user administration settings. **What problems is Valamis solving and how is that benefiting you?** We link up skills to specific learning paths so that on completion the system automatically raises the person's skill level related to that learning path or course. We get our lead developers involved in creating learning paths so we're sure this knowledge is required to raise the skill. It's done to prevent manipulation of the system and so we know that staff can't just finish a random learning path to get a skill raise. ### 5. We had a smooth implementation because the Valamis customer support team did all the configurations. And my team uses the platform weekly. **What do you dislike about Valamis?** Frustrating experience with the Lesson studio and Lesson manager. Their functions are partly similar, and it's hard to remember which one does what. Sometimes, change in one leads to overriding changes done in another one. **What problems is Valamis solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Valamis mainly for onboarding, employee development, and skills management. It helped organize the learning process for a new team member. Also, we saw significant improvements in the work when we encouraged people to share their knowledge about the projects with each other. Also, project managers found the skills module really helpful because it help them monitor what skills our employees have and assign them to relevant projects where such skills are required. ### 6. It's not just about giving advice and leaving you in the dark. They're keen to show they'll work with you every step of the way. The customer success team is fantastic—they don't just consult, they guide you through the process, making sure you understand what's needed and helping you achieve your goals. **What do you dislike about Valamis?** It was tough to set up the organization structure and manage users initially. It took us much time and effort to do it properly because the admin interface was old and unintuitive. Now, I'm using it weekly to learn something new and relevant to my role, as well as other things that could help me in my career growth. **What do you dislike about Valamis?** The mobile app is not that useful. It allows you to download only lessons created on the platform. Yes, you can use courses from external providers, but only with an internet connection, which is not always possible. The same element could be in different places on different screens and modules.
